  1. I get an email from my lawyer today stating that she received a RFE, wanting to know if my husband's ex wife had the kids while they were married, and she did , well they're wanting a copy of his marriage license that will show that he was married to their mom. He's been divorce almost 4 years and his ex wife abandon the kids, meaning she has no contact with them whatsoever, I'm upset because I asked the lawyer initially do he need to prove that he has custody of the kids and she said no, the divorce papers would be fine! So we just went ahead with the paper work in filing for the two minor kids!! It's bad enough I feel like I've been waiting forever and now this!! So my question is with having received this , it's probably going to prolong things a month huh, my husband is going to submit the info to the lawyer tomorrow

  2. Thank you guys for all of your support. I really appreciate it....For those of you still waiting, don't be surprised if your case is sent to Puerto Rico, too...The tier 2 agents says that they have been sending case there for processing since they have a lighter workload. I just THANK GOD they found my case!!!! I'll be glad when we get finally approval!!!!

Wow just my luck!!! Why did I have to file in May lol

  3. I am a May filer as well. Today I checked my status and it shows my case being transferred to the National Benefits Center for further processing on Aug 16. I called USCIS to see why it was transferred and why I hadn't received a notice by mail. I was told that my case was sent to PUERTO RICO on Aug. 16???? WHAT???!!!! Why???!!!! I live in Louisiana!!!! And my husband is in Brazil!!!! Ughhhh, as if I haven't waited long enough....I am soooo agravated, right now...Oh by the way, the agent wasn't sure if my case was ACTUAL sent to Puerto Rico or if it was an error in the notes. So, basically, no one knows where my case is and that I would be notified by Aug. 29 of the status.

    :bonk:

    geeez im so sorry

  4. Hi all, Im new to all this and really happy that i found this site, I filed for the I-130 in May as well , according to the usics website they received my petition on May 18th , I havent heard anything, mine is in the california service center, I know its a matter of waiting but geeez Im getting so impatient , I so want to be withmy husband. Im here in the states and my husband is in south africa..

I see alot of people referring to the NOA1 and NOA2 , can someone please tell me what this stands for

Also I want my husband to come visit me but Ive heard that once the petition is filed its hard to come over, I was told it just depends on the mood of the custom agent thats on duty.

Once the petition is approved everything I assume gets sent to south africa, do anyone know about how long it will take once the petition have been approved

    Thanks
