Hi, my friend became a US citizen few years ago but her 17 year old daughter is still a permanent resident (since 2011), she now wants to apply for citizenship for her daughter. does anyone know what the process is for this situation and what forms should she fill out?

I finally received an email and text today that case is in line for interview, hopefully it wont take as long as the background check for my interview to be scheduled ... please update the chart

Hi everyone, just an update on my end. I still haven't been placed in line yet (did my biometrics on 3/24), which I guess means I'm still undergoing a background check. Assuming nothing changes in the next few weeks, at what point should I contact someone at USCIS? Also, when that time comes should I do Infopass or is there another process for people in my situation. Thanks!

I applied for ROC on October 2nd, and I received an RFE on march 10th, I mailed the RFE package 2 days later, they didn't send me any letter that they received it, which made me very nervous, but on march 26th i got a text and an email that my petition has been approved, and my green card came in today. I hope this would help you.

Thank you all for your help I just spoke to our friends who did the affidavits and i'm gonna notarize those and send them anyway with the rest of the paper work if it didn't help it wouldn't hurt

I suggest that you send the affidavits too - no need to get those notarized but must be from US Citizen/s. Actually in the ROC instructions, affidavits are still mentioned as requirements.

I think you should register your marriage in lebanon cause you will need family extract with your wife's name on it to submit it to the embassy
