Starting my new job tomorrow, I feel a little nervous! Hope everything goes well Inshallah. I will miss having all of this free time, but I can't wait to feel productive again!

I went for a job in my field (early childhood education). I'm teaching in a Pre-K classroom. I had this job lined up for me months before I got my EAD card. I hope you get some offers soon, and a position that you like. If it wasn't for me having this job lined up, I probably would have taken whatever I could until I found something in my field of studies.

Hey Stacy, I wasn't in the system still after three weeks as well, but I guess he did the manual application for me. I got my SSN only about a week and a half later. Last week I went to the SSN office again with my card, and asked to have my name changed since I got married and the lady said I still wasn't in the system but they'll print me a new card once they get the "OK" from immigration. I don't know why they're being so slow with everything, but as long as I h...
