Same situation, almost same NOA1 and same september 6th story. In our case it was a problem with our delivery address. Our NOA1 mail could not be delivered, so thay had to send it again. That's it until now.
Cheers ^^

I never imagined I would have to wait this long. Sighs...

try emailing them at IVDVaccra@state.gov
Specify the subject of your inquiry in the subject line; in your case your subject might be "fiance visa".
Good luck.

I definitely think you can ask for another date. If there are available slots they shoul be able to re-schedule. Bottom line you don't lose anything asking.
Good luck

Yaaay !!
Are you Barcelona or Madrid? I'm a HUGE Barcelona fan. So I'm going to enjoy the game, hoping to see some good football far from the sad dispaly both teams showed last season with a lot of fights.
Cheers !!

Hi guys,
I need your opinion for those who went through a change of address of the petitioner during the I 130 (CR1 or any after all) process, before approval. My wife is changing her address by next month and I know that we can inform the uscis by filling the AR-11 online.
Is it needed to send any further mail (postal) to the USCIS?
And how will we know whether they've updated our address or not?
Thanks ^^

There is no such thing like engagement date in the I 129F form. Either you are misinterpreting something else or your lawyer is messing up with you. Go to the uscis.gov website and check the form by yourself or check the guides available here on VJ.
Good luck

Hi,
I'm in the same case, and I'm sure there are many people in the same situation. Courage, true love always help you get to be together.
Cheers.

If I'm correct you don't need any certificate from a country where you lived less than 6 months. I can be wrong though.
Check it.

I had the same situation two weeks after my NOA1. It happened because the hard copy of my NOA1 was returned to them and could not be delivered to my wife. She changed her last name after marriage but failed to do so on her mail box.
Assuming you already received your NOA1 hard copy, don't bother much, just make sure it's not them making a mistake on your case. Because this message is the same they send to people that are adjusting status (to the best of my knowledge). So very likely it's a computer glitch.
Cheers^^

Hi guys,
Can anybody understand how the USCIS is keeping this nonsense of not balancing the load between all the centers? CSC is overloaded while applications are being approved within couple of weeks at Vermont.
This is beyond my understanding.
Anyway, keep it up guys.
Cheers ^^

Hi
You might rather join this thread http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/323766-august-2011-filers/page__st__105
It is more active and all the august filers (so far) are there.
Cheers and good luck with everything ^^

You may retrieved the log of your past conversations. Skype is able to do that. Then you print it. I think it's a better evidence...Anyway check it out.
Good luck !!

Your post is an enlightment.
My brother in law is in the same situation and now I'm afraid it's too late to help him out because everything finishes on September 30th and he hasn't receive his visa yet and at his last attempt to contact the embassy they told him not to call but to send an email.
So unfortunate.

Our NOA1 hard copy, was delayed as well. My wife had to call them two times. they finally sent it and she received it some days ago. What I assume is they can be quite lazy when they know you've received electronic notification already and also in our case they said they sent it first but it couldn't be delivered. So it got sent back to USCIS. Watch out for your mail boxes (name change after marriage, etc)
Cheers^^

It seems like your attorney don't have a clue of the process. It's I 134 for the affidavit of support for K1.
The way things are going on, follow your case carefully (checking on uscis status) otherwise the attorney might mess it up; or best lose him
I've been through K1 and it's not that difficult to follow.
Good luck with everything.

The police certificate is required at the consulate (at the interview), so this means when your case has been transferred to the local embassy from NVC. For your police certificate from Turkey, what about asking somebody you know in Turkey to process it for you, you might send him a copy of your passport or foreign ID while living in Turkey (if any), but remember police certificate have a validity. You'd better check it to not make it too soon.
Anyway, bonne chance.

Your wife needs to make them realize that that e-mail is strange. They usually assume that people don't know much about the process. So she should insist and let them know that you receive such notice only if you file I 485 (Application for Permanent Residence) concurrently with ! 130, which is not your case since you live abroad (If I'm right).
They should be able to tell her that it's a mistake so that you are assured that your case is on the right track and not confused with Adjustment of Status 9as I assumed it was happening to us .
She should keep calling since she will find different agent anytime she calls. One will have the diligence to make proper verification.
Good luck and cheers^^

I got the same, my wife called them and it turned out to be a computer mistake. If you didn't apply for Permanent Residence you should not receive such a mail. Anyway it's better to call and figure out. If it was an approval they would be specific about it and the case should be sent to NVC not to you.
Anyway, make the call.
Cheers ^^

Hi,
The fee is 340 USD. But the best way to deal with this is to go to www.uscis.gov, in the FORMS section you'll find the I 129F with the instructions. You'd better read it carefully and you should be fine.
Good luck with everything.

In our case I'm betting on first quarter of 2012.
plus I need to graduate over here, so a lot of things on the plate.

Indeed!! The USCIS has worn out my patience, so I guess I'm just throwing myself into waiting for when they set us free from this madness
