Hi,
Is it possible to take the knowledge test of the license test before receiving my SSN? I'm going to move to Minnesota.
Thanks

What I know is that the police record you get from the Korean Police is standard and it is supposed to be the same from place to place, you're not supposed to have to ask for anything special. I'm going to try to link to a photo of a standard Korean police report accompanied by a translation:
I agree I've got a police certificate two times since last year. It's standard. You may write how it is called in Korean and go to the police station. Get it translated.
Good luck

Assuming you are over 18 and under 65...
Tdap
MMR
Varicella (if available)
Some panel physicians might say you need others but in reality that is all that is required right now for your age category. This is all my husband brought proof of to his medical and they didn't make him get any others.
I confirm. I just had my medical examination. Those three were the ones I had to take since I didn't have any vaccination record. All the others form the NVC list were ruled out due to age or season (Influenza season is fall according to the doctor).
Good luck

If you do not have an imminization record you can start on working towards getting your immunizations done at your health clinic or at a medical doctor's office. With respect to the Hep A and Hep B shots, these are given to patients up to age 45. These shots are to be spaced out in 6 weeks to 2 month intervals. For the other shots you can have them all together on the same date. If for some reason you are going to get your vaccines today you must wait 6 weeks minimum before getting more vaccines. if for some reason you develop a cold or the flu you will not be able to get the vaccine done until the virus leave your body which can be anywhere between 2 weeks and 4 weeks. Hope this bit of info help. Be sure to have your immunization card updated and properly secure for the day of your medical appointment.
Hi.
This topic concerns me as well, so I'm jumping in.
What happens if I took the first shots of the Hep A and B already but the 6 weeks haven't passed before my medical appointment?
-
If you don't have a vaccination record, then you'll need to get all the vaccinations re-done that are age-appropriate. Here's the list for your age: http://www.panelphysicians.com/Pages/Age6.htm
I'd suggest getting them done ahead of time at a clinic as it'll most likely be cheaper. Then just bring those records to the medical.
Thanks so much, Saylin. Very helpful, indeed!!

Hi guys,
I need some insight about the vaccinations to do an estimate how much I should expect to pay.
I don't have my vaccinations record, for my age (31, will I be required to take all the shots from the NVC list or the physician will determine which ones? If so what have been your experience?
Thanks !!

I just received the appointment letter by email. My case has been forwarded to the US Embassy in Seoul. The journey is coming slowly to an end. Yes !!!!!!!

We got a notice from the NVC inquiry this morning that our DS3230 was accepted and that I am now the agent for my husband. I haven't received any info from them yet regarding the bill pay, but they did say they would be sending the information to the address we chose - will they also send the invoice to my email like the AOS fee? Or should I call to find out if they've generated the invoice and number?
In my case the email containing the invoice came the following day. You can also check the payment portal, sometimes the IV invoice is ready for payment before you receive the email or the other way round. Either case you need it to be ready in the payment portal before you can proceed with the payment
Good luck

Just got email from NVC ( P4 FOR NEOPOST DS-1200). Please i'm thinking of sending this letter to the embassy tomorrow to get my package for the medical. Please is this what I should do?
I don't know how it is with the US Embassy in Ghana, but I think the appointment letter is enough to book your appointment for the medical on your own.
Good luck.

Hi fellows,
I will soon require to do my medicals and vaccinations. I would like to estimate what are the likely vaccinations from the NVC list that I would be required to have. Let me know those who have had the experience already.
Thanks.

Case complete !!!! We are through !!!!

Hi folks.
A question for those who have their interviews scheduled or have done it already.
When the interview is scheduled do I receive an email from the NVC or the Consulate?
Have a nice day.
-
For this, you can count my advice and multiply it by any number you please. The signature is NOT needed for this purpose. You signed the affidavit of support under penalty of perjury.
Agreed. My wife sent copies of the 1040 + W2 without any signature. It has been accepted, reviewed and approved.
Good luck.
-
Yes, they will send a checklist for your DS-230 if your I-864 packet is sent in and approved before they have received and reviewed the DS-230. If you've already sent in the DS-230 you shouldn't have anything to worry about, they should process it soon and get you a case complete.
Good luck!
Thanks for the info.

Hi folks,
I received an email from the NVC titled Checklist Cover Letter, stating that our immigration application (DS 230) is missing, though we sent it last friday.
Is it because we sent the I 864 package before the DS 230's and that they haven't received (reviewed) the IV package yet?
Thanks for any input.
-
Yeah but we're almost there too. :-) Now waiting for my interview letter. Hope I don't get additional checklist for both of my packages as I have a little problem with my police clearance. Have you sent your IV package already?
Yeah, sent on friday. Crossing fingers for a june interview. We are hoping to celebrate our first anniversary together. Let's wait and see what happens. Even a july interview is just fine. At this point I will be satisfied with whatever.
Good luck to you

I'm at NVC stage, AOS sent, IV bill paid. I guess most of August filers must be happily with their second halves by now. A couple of months and we'll reach there as well.
Cheers^^
-
Thanks.
I guess once the IV Invoice is generated means they've accepted it (If you haven't received an email before)
-
Hi,
I just sent the choice of agent by e-mail. How will I know that It has been accepted and considered for IV processing?
Will the NVC send an e-mail and how long did it take from your experience?
Thanks.
-
I got my case number at the NVC today.
Finally !! Moving slowly, but moving anyway.
-
Same here.
Approved on April 5th and still no case number after more than a month. I think after having filed in August, this process of ours is going to take two years. It's becoming exhausting.

This looks tricky. You might consider requesting the service of a lawyer, because like you point it out a son is either natural or adopted.
Another way is to have the birth certificate revoked, with a new one mentioning "father: Unknown". And then proceed with the adoption.
Either way you might need a lawyer and it's definitely gonna take some time.
-
I'm not sure but, first an adopted son must have all the rights of a biological son. Second, you should not take the risk to lie about it and third, If there is a doubt they might require a DNA test.
So I would advise to just do it right even if it's gonna take a bit longer.
Good luck.
