Hi Avi30, I got a text message AND an e-mail with a tracking number AFTER it was already delivered.

Received my 10 year Green Card in the mail today. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

We got our approval today! HUGE relief and best Christmas present we could've asked for! We really thought we wouldn't hear anything until the New Year. Good luck to the rest of our fellow May filers waiting for a decision or who have submitted an RFE.

Approval Date/Date of Decision was 12/17/2014. Have updated our entry on the list.

Congrats to BIT, Knowledgeispower and Lagavulin on your approvals! Great news and makes me hopeful that the rest of us will be approved soon too. Still a bit envious though, I admit. No rhyme or reason to this process!

Biometrics letter received today! Appointment is June 11! Updated our information on the list.

We received our NOA today! Receipt date is 5/08/2014. Our entry in the VSC has been updated.

Our check cleared/was cashed today (showed as pending yesterday). We were hoping the letter would be delivered today, but not yet. Still hoping to get it before the end of the week.

We sent our I-751 to the Vermont Service Center today and the waiting game begins again. Can't say I've missed this part of the process at all! Good luck to everyone and hope we all move through this phase quickly

My Visa packet was ready to be picked up at the courier this morning!! Made the 4 hour, round trip drive to London, Ontario with a friend of mine and had it in my hand at 11:20 this morning! EXCITED!!! Heading to the border tomorrow to activate it and take the furkids to Pittsburgh. Friday, my Hubby and I are heading back here to load the moving truck and we'll finally both be heading HOME together! :luv:

The RANDOMNESS of how Montreal sends out these things makes no sense. I know for a fact that another couple that interviewed and was approved in Montreal the same day as me received their Visa yesterday. No rhyme or reason for it at all. Being so close to the end of this insane process, I really think "they" get some enjoyment out of frustrating the hell out of people every step of the way. This system needs a MAJOR overhaul.

Hi Liza,

Now you wait for USCIS to approve your I-130 and send it to NVC. This usually takes between 5-7 months, depending on the service center your case was sent to and how busy they are. You won't receive anything from USCIS regarding your NOA1, your husband has already received it.

You may want to take some time to look at the other guides, wikis, etc. while you wait for your NOA2. They will help you know what to expect and to prepare as much of your AOS and IV documentation ahead of time.

:dance: Just got the e-mail from NVC with my interview date!! July 16th!!! WOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! :dance:

Happy does not even begin to describe how I'm feeling! Doing that jig I said I'd be doing when I no longer HAVE to communicate with NVC!

Wooooo! Finally got our NVC case #!

On a side note, I have to agree with others....what is the deal with the nasty NVC operators?! Tonight I waited 32 minutes on hold to speak with this angry woman, she declined to provide her name. She read the case number to me, and when I asked if I could repeat it to verify, she lets out this long sigh....and says "Fine." I ask if I may have the Invoice ID number, and she says, "MA'AM, that case was JUST put in the system, you need to call back in a week at least". I asked for the Beneficiary ID number (longshot), and I get the "MA'AM...I don't even have access to that." Ok then.

You know, when I was younger, I worked for a call center for a major cell phone service provider. Treating my customers that way would have resulted in a reprimand at the minimum.

I would call back again tonight, but I'm afraid I'd want to find a way to shove a frying pan through the phone....

The NVC agents DO seem to be particularly cranky, rude and huffy the last week or so. I know they aren't ALL like that, but recently it seems to be the norm. Wondering if you got Brady tonight. Sounds EXACTLY like how she spoke to me, including the "MA'AM" thing. I got "MA'AM! Your case was only completed a week and a half ago. We will send out an e-mail to you and the petitioner when you have an interview date assigned!" I wanted to reply to the first part with, "SO F'ING WHAT?!! Do you have to be so rude?!". Instead, I informed her that I'm aware an e-mail is sent out, but I also know I can find out SOONER by calling. I didn't say this to Ms. Snarky, but based on some recent posts on here, those interview e-mails aren't being sent out in a timely manner at all! Over a week later?? REALLY?! I've been keeping a list of each person I speak to every time I call. Next time I get Brady and a certain few others, I'm hanging up and calling back. I'm stressed enough without their crappy attitude.

As my Hubby said earlier when I was telling him about MY "conversation": I don't know why they can't just politely look it up and say "according to our records, you do not have an interview scheduled at this time, thank you for calling". Substitute interview for case number/case received/etc.

You do not have to wait a week to get your IIN or BIN. Call again tomorrow and I hope you get someone who is more polite and less annoyed that you would actually like them to do THEIR JOB! Not like they do this out of the kindness of their hearts (obviously!). I also realize that they take hundreds, maybe even thousands, of calls per day. HOWEVER, if it's such a hassle for them, then don't provide a phone number for those going through the immigration process to call and inquire about their cases.

I've just about had it with misinformation, rude agents, being blatantly LIED to, etc. SO READY TO BE DONE WITH THIS AND BE WITH MY HUBBY!!!

Sorry for the rant. I'll be doing a jig when I don't have to have any contact with NVC anymore.

I seem to keep getting agents at the DoS who don't know what they heck they're talking about. "I'm sorry Ma'am, there is no interview date for your case yet because it's still at NVC." Ummm...yeah, it's still at NVC. They have it UNTIL an interview date is scheduled and THEN they send it to the consulate/embassy. Good Grief! Do they train these people in the procedures AT ALL?

Amen! That was the worst wait EVER, even waiting for NOA2 wasn't as bad. I know everyone says it, but it will go by fast. Before you know it you'll be in Montreal and having your 10 minute conversation with a CO.

I'm having one of those days where I just want to scream...and cry. Not maintaining a very positive outlook, which is rare for me. At least once we DO have the interview date, I can go into the final countdown. Not having it means I can't give my notice on my apartment yet and we are required to give 60 days notice. I just know I'm going to end up paying for a month of rent that I won't even be living here. Then there's the cost of travel to Toronto for the medical, the cost of the medical, the cost of the flight and hotel in Montreal...it's just overwhelming me today.

I KNOW we're so close to being done and should be happy about that, and part of me really is. Some days this thing feels never ending though.

The waiting for my interview date to be scheduled is making me a little bit nuts... I'm still hoping for a July date, but am beginning to think that August is more likely and it's annoying. I am so OVER this process, talking to rude agents and their attempts to make me feel like I'm bugging them by calling to inquire about my case. Just do your JOB, at least try to be somewhat polite as you do it and remember that I am ALLOWED to call and ask about my case. Insert major stream of curse words here.

I would give it a few days. NVC receives thousands of e-mails and it might take them a few days to get to yours. Some patience will be required right now.

Run through all my papers, now laying down and ready for tomorrow for the interview. I am not nervous and I'm so surprised that im not... I'm so calm and not excited. Just knowing that I will be approved makes me more calm

I just called NVC again and female operator was very nice and polite. She immediately gave me IIN number and also waited for a minute for me to login to their website and see case status (typically I have seen operators are in always hurry to finish the call as soon as attended).

My case status in their portal:

AOS Fees: Not Paid (Pay button active, but when I clicked it says "NOT INVOICED")

IV Fees: Not Available (Pay button disabled)

From their portal it seems I have to wait for few days to get AOS fees invoice generated to make a payment. Is that correct?

My case number just got generated today and I provided mine and my wife's email address to NVC. My wife has not yet received an email from NVC to send Choice of Agent form.

Should I go ahead and send choice of agent email to NVC from my wife's email address now? Or should I wait until she receives an email from NVC?

It usually takes a few days for the e-mails to be sent out. One with the case information and one with the AOS billing information. Once you get the AOS invoice e-mail, your AOS bill should be ready to be paid so check the payment portal then.

I would send the DS-3032 e-mail now. Just make sure to check with NVC that it was received and accepted in the next day or so. I had problems with my Choice of Agent being accepted (had to submit it again) and it slowed me down by 2 weeks in completing my case, since it delayed the release of our IV bill.
