  1. Where exactly did you get the clearance? Is ti the same office/branch you applied? All I thought was I have a unique name but I was wrong. I've been getting it many times and this is the only time I got "hit"! The last time I had my NBI WAS THIS February 2011 & it is actually valid til next year but since NBI has a new system, I was advised to get the new one...

i got mine in Quezon City hall, i thought it would be a lot easier coz i have a hit, since the very first time i apply for clearance.but since NBI has new system, that's why all of the people who has previously pending case or HIT, they need to under go quality control, don't be scare, the guy interviewed me is so nice, and for as long as you know you don't have any previous crime committed everything will go smooth.. it's just protocol of NBI just to make sure your not that person.

Oh, and to answer your question, "NO RECORD ON FILE" means you're good to go. That means you have neither a criminal case nor a civil case on record. "NO CRIMINAL RECORD" would result in the C.O. from the embassy asking you for a letter of explanation from the NBI.

    thanks..

  2. im confused with that also...my NBI states NO RECORD ON FILE but in my husband it states NO CRIMINAL RECORD and he gets a HIT but for my son he is HIT also but it states in his NBI that NO RECORD ON FILE same as mine...

I think "NO CRIMINAL RECORD" requires letter from NBI, just to show USEM that the case was dismissed or he is not that person..

I have hit as well, I have to go to Quality Control interview, just to make sure that I'm not that person,my hit has pending case of drug related case. I just signed a waiver that I'm not that person. After that my NBI was released, with NO RECORD ON FILE. when did you get your NBI? did they not told you to go to Quality Control interview?

  3. NBI CLEARANCE: Applicants aged 16 years and older must have a valid Record Clearance for Travel Abroad Purposes from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). Clearances should be in the applicant’s current name, birth certificate name, maiden name, married name, and any aliases or nicknames ever used, including different spellings of all names ever used. An official letter of explanation from the NBI is required for any notation of “No criminal record”, "No pending criminal case” or “With derogatory record.” For immigration purposes, an NBI clearance is considered valid only for one year from the date it is issued. You may contact NBI at (632) 523-82-31 to 38. The NBI website is http://www.nbi.gov.ph.

How about "NO RECORD ON FILE"..i have hit, i already interviewed by Quality Control in NBI taft, and sworn and signed a waiver stating that im not that person, Do you think that's good to go?

  4. I believe, since you got "hit" like me, for as long as you got your NBI clearance with you, you'll be fine.

I also got a "hit" and waiting for the result until next week. Did you get your NBI on same day upon going to Quality Control interview?

yes i have hit...I just sworn to the atty in their office and sign a waiver that I'm not that person.. and the guy that interviewed me was nice, after that he told me to go to releasing to get my clearance.

  5. What is the difference between.. "NO RECORDS ON FILE" & "NO CRIMINAL RECORDS"..

Got my NBI clearance today, and it says "NO RECORD ON FILE".. However, I got a Hit, that's why I have to go to Quality Control interview and signed a waiver stating that I'm not that person...

    Any same experience as mine?

  6. What is the difference between NO RECORD ON FILE AND NO CRIMINAL RECORD?

I just got my NBI clearance saying "NO RECORD ON FILE", however i got HIT, she has a drug related case on file. I got interview with the quality control and sign a waiver that I'm not the same person. After that they released my Clearance stating NO RECORD ON FILE..

Am I good to go or what? :help:

  7. this is so personal concern darren, i suggest to seek for professional help, and/or seek for friend advice with your concern and not brought up your personal concern in life in this site, cause we don't know you personally, others may have sympathy on you others won't.. i hope you do earlier research that it takes a lot of adjustments and understanding in marrying a girl with different culture.

it seems you have a culture shock.

right know you have to focus on starting your new life with gretchen.

  8. Ok just got off the phone with my fiancee. She was part of the group that applied back in July 2011 for an NBI clearance and they said here NBI clearance will not be able till first week of October 2011 due to some computer glitch/upgrade. Someone on the site and various other sources have stated that they got their NBI clearances in one day. She first applied thru Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga and I told her to go the San Fernando branch and inquire if they can process her NBI clearance in one day. They said it will take 35 days! So she didn't reapply for a new NBI clearance and she plans to wait till October till the NBI Clearance comes in... where in the hell can you get a NBI clearance in one day... i swear its a myth!

I'm sorry but she's been trying to get her NBI clearance since July 2011 and its already September 15, 2011 and she still does not have one! I am so pissed off with all the bureaucry that you have to deal with during the visa process.

your fiancee can try to reapply for NBI clearance, instead of waiting for nothing..and getting disapointed
