Hi
I had the same doubt and asked the embassy, they told me I would need the taxes transcription (last year), letter of employer, W2, and pay stubs, and the form filed, I dont really know in the case of being in the army, so maybe you could send an email to the embassy and ask them about your case in particular so they will exactely tell you what they are expecting from you to present
SUERTE!

Do you plan on going to the interview? Your fiance/e will need the AOS at the interview. Congratulations I have to say, I am a little jealous. I also filed in August but had the misfortune of having our file sent to CSC. I would suggest sending the AOS as soon as possible ( with income verification and 3 years of tax returns) asap. The USPS is not very reliable and the other services are rather expensive. I will go to the interview with my fiancee. Good luck to you both and please keep us informed as to how the process is prceeding.
AOS?? I-134 instead

Yeeee!!!
)) Dont worry! this 2nd part is much faster and with alot of things to do!

She can ask for that in her country, there will show up all the times she has been out of the country and what country has been she left the US for. Ask where you can get that in your country, in mine you can get it in the "Ministerio de Relaciones exteriores". There you could have an option
Hope you can get that in your country too, Good luck!

Can you get a migratory record?

In my case what I did was to put all the pics in normal photo print and to put a tag at the side of each one relating date, place, people on the pic, etc. Then I printed in normal paper other pics in the last night before my interview jejeje... did not have any problem, but to be honest I dont know if each embassy has a specific requeriment,it has been just my experience. Good luck!

I understand that you have had that experience, I have also travelled to Argentina in November with my passport, peruvian passport, and there were other peruvians too, some of them were asked many question, some of them had to check their bags, in my case they even didnt ask me why i was going there, the lady told me, tourist right? I answered "yes", she stamped my passport and said enjoy! and that was all, didnt ask me anything else, didnt open my bags or anything, the same with a trip to Chile years ago. I think that it also depends on the criteria of the official.

What Airport in US?

I´m glad you could understand some of the names of the countries I wrote in Spanish, but those were the countries that we can travel without a visa, and as you can see there are southamerican countries.
I already know what will I do about the layovers, prices, etc. Again, thank you to all for the info.

Sheepp, what is unique about Peru that complicates the visa situation? I could understand if it was a state with high terrorism, drug smuggling, human trafficking, etc..... But Peru???
I always had the impression that Peru was a rather mild mannered country that participated and respected international treaties. Did I miss something, or is this visa requirement common with other South American countries as well?
I think you did not read my post completely...

The consulate will tell you in the package they will send you once your case has arrived there. But you will need to send the W2, paystubs taxes transcript ( how many years, the consulate will tell you) and it wont hurt to also send the bank statement ah! and letter of employer

Incorrect, it all depends on what passport you are traveling with and what country is the layover; and in some cases even what country is your final destination.
I travel extensively around the world and believe me when I say that a Peruvian passport in will raise eyebrows in almost every country. And as it has been mentioned in this thread, Peruvian passport holders have the rare privilege of collecting visas for about any country in the world.
Peruvians do need visa for many countries, like US, Canada, Australia, most Europe countries, etc.
For a tourist visa Peruvians do not need any visa for Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay, Venezuela, Bahamas, Barbados, Dominican Republic, Panamá, Nicaragua, Trinidad y Tobago, Brunei, South Corea, Emiratos Arabes Unidos, Filipinas, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Israel, Líbano, Malasia, Singapur, Tailandia, Russia, Panamá and more.
Peruvian passport wont raise any eye brown if the Peruvian passport holder has the right visa in their passport or if the country is one of the mentioned above or any other that doesnt require a visa, visas are requered to avoid illegal inmigration of people from other countries, and while there are illegal Peruvians in US and other countries Peru is not one of the countries with high number of illegal inmigrants, and its economy is very stable, what is happening is instead of that, we are receiving many inmigrants and some of them still illegal in our country. Just to clarify the "raise eyebrowns" expression. Merry Christmas

I do know that I would find much cheaper rates for flight after New Years Eve, but the thing is that as I stated we want to spend NYE together, so we have came to the conclusion that we will get the ticket for wed, thursday or friday with a layover where I wont need visa like in any of the countries I said in my prior post
Thank you again guys, found a flight for about $1100 hopefully its still available by tuesday!
-
Yes guys, thank you very much for all your reponses, I will try to fly with a layover in Colombia, Panamá, El Salvador, Dominican Republic or somewhere in the US, because I havent find a direct flight for less than $1500 and those are the countries that I dont need turist visa either so that I wont have to go and do all the paperwork for other visa as it would take more time and we want to spend New Year´s Eve together
Thank you guys!! Hope you all are having a GREAT day today!
-
Yes, I have checked, and just in case someone wants to travel tomorrow its less than $400! AWESOME!But I dont have my passport yet, my fiance called the embassy yesterday and they told him that I would have it between wed and friday because DHL is picking it up on tuesday, so we are looking for flights for those days, we want to spend new years eve together, and Spirit has not flights till Jan 15th, so we are looking maybe in Avianca with 1 stop in bogota, that one is $1100... we will see, we have to get the flight once we have the passport with the visa in hand
-
I am flying to NY and before New Years eve, the cheapest flight is $980 and is in Air Canada with 1 stop in Ontario, then there is other in Aeromexico, a direct flight before New Year is about $1600 in LAN
-
Hi guys!! Merry christmas to all of you!
I have a concern, I will be picking up the visa in this week and going to US before New Year´s eve, the thing is that I dont know if I would need a visa for transit in Canada if the flight has a layover there, or in Mexico.
Thank you!

Ohhh thats great!!! congratulations!!!

Nop, they didnt ask for the DS156k, just for the DS156, when i gave them the 3 records, they gave me back one, the police records ( antecedentes policiales) and they didnt ask me for the letter of intent.

In my interview they did not ask me for that, so I guess who said that in a prior post is right
but Im not sure if this is depending on the consulate or the case. Good luck!
Fiance problems adjusting to food
in Moving to the US and Your New Life In America
Posted
Hi,
Well in my experience, I arrived here last friday and I am having a really hard time adjusting to food, I am from Peru so I guess there is not so much difference like with the moroccan and american difference, but same, it is not that you dont want to eat because you are not mature and dont want to make some changes it is also how your body reacts, in my case every thing I eat makes me feel sick and dont feel like eating, not because I want to be annoying with my fiance, but bcause I really cant, I try food, I cook, the ingredients are different than in Peru and the results are not the same and that is really frustrating, went to international supermarkets to look for peruvian food and found some things so hope it helps, but the thing is not to judge him thinking he is selfish saying he cant eat new things here, he has to adjust, and it takes time, every person is different so just be patient and supportive bcause its not easy to change all the things that u have been used to and he is doing this for you, so try to be supportive and patient im sure he will start liking food and adjusting very soon
