Her Godmother, Dr. Mila (who introduced us originally), just confirmed all the Parents did. Dr. Mila was never contacted, or she would have fixed it quickly. We were wrong. she cried for the 1st 2 days. I gave gifts, i cooked and cleaned, i slept alone.

in fairness, i don't blame Olya. Her Parents talked to her for hours each day on Skype, encouraged her to return to Russia, and sent her the $400 to change the return ticket date immediately. Olya has ALWAYS lived with them, never independently. The "umbilical cord" was never cut. So she was simply too immature and not ready for this. (I had realized part of her immaturity, but i thought she would trust me, to take care of her forever. ) I still truly love her, and p...

I'm very grateful, for this VJ site, and all the great advice here, and all the support from wonderful friends. ...first Email from Olya after interview: " I still do not believe that I got approval! I was very nervous and worried about .... but then everything went so fast ... I was the first who called for an interview .... and immediately got approval!! "

I actually told Olya, to not distract you from your packing etc., and your first few days in USA.
Then, last week, her computer died!
(a disaster. since she still getting the hotel in Moscow, and printing off our emails and photos for interview. ...now, i'm trying to get everything to her in Moscow, before the interview.)

I thought so too. but new procedure, is you must pay fee in advance. Olya did the bank all herself, with some help from Robert and Liliya.
as for wait time, it's less than i thought! today, the new online interview listing still offered her dates in mid-September!
(which sadly is TOO soon for us to be ready.)

Bill: Olya is a devoted mother, and a pharmacist (works 50+ / wk). And, she's shy, and doesn't speak english yet. But she'd welcome any friends, especially speaking Russian.
