Hello every one, happy Holidays, I entered US last OCT 28th on CR1 Visa and now I'm enjoying my living here in PA with my wife, i was hoping to get my Green card in few

weeks but more than 30 days passed ! exactly 38 days so far and No Green Card or welcome note in mail yet ??

I wonder is this normal period of time to wait for Green card in mail for CR1, I just want to start working and driving...etc..

I went last Friday 30th OCT to the SS office to apply for SSC and I'm waiting to get it in mail in 2 weeks .

Please advice me what i can do about my Green card ?

Some good news for my wife and I after a nervous couple of weeks waiting.

Our case has been completed today. Now we wait for an interview date. Medical is scheduled for next week. Perfect timing.

Our case was completed today too, my wife just found that out after she called NVC, thanks to God and thank you VJ members! now we are looking forward to the inter view date .

I'm not sure if it's appropriate to inform us all of your wife's income. I know I'd be pretty upset if my husband posted my numbers on VJ. My advice would be to be careful about divulging too much information on an internet forum. Proper advice was given prior to your posting of this info. The exact numbers were not needed.

The math is not about what it will be for the current year. Do the math for what it will be for the next twelve months from the date the I-864 is submitted based on CURRENT level of income.

Yes sure.., My wife did not file the I-864 yet ! our case still on the way to NVC and i think we still have some time to make all proofs for that and get pay stubs and letter from the employer proving all that her income for the next 12 months will be 23,871.84 ?

We just made some math and found out that my wife gross income will be 23,871.84 for the current year ??

While the poverty guide lines for 3 is 23,862 ??

What do you think guys ?

we already got our NOA2 ON 16 April 2012 but after we thought we had joint sponsor !!And now they changed their minds after reading the scary i-864 instr ..so now we are trying our best to find some solution .

for more background about our case and my wife income!

Her income from her 2 jobs dose not meet the i-864P for 3

Has no assets to add either only one car! no significant savings either !

I own a house here in morocco.

She has a good working history and always was paying her taxes !

And she just call SSA and they told her that she Qualify for 40 Working credits!

We are 3 my wife me and 1 child !

and she dose not getting any child support.

Please we need more help and advice we already spend much time apart

my question here if she works for more hours at her second job then her income will be around 25,363,00

she is going to start that real soon! before sending i-864 ! i hope that can works out with sending employer letter with current pay stubs to NVC and showing that at my inter view too ! what do you think ??

She can make up the difference with assets, if she owns a home, has at least two cars, has significant savings, etcetera. Does she get child support income? She has to make up the difference somehow. Her tax refund will never be considered as income.

I got a text on april 16 that they mailed our NOA2 already, but it's already the 22nd and I haven't received the letter. . How long does it for me to receive in the mail?

We got the NOA2 approval in email on the same date 16 April! then my wife got the hard copy in mail on 20th April she lives in PA !!

Is it just you and your wife? So just 2 people?

Then it will be around 19,000. They just increased the limit from 18,400 for 2 people

If their are more people then it requires more income

Your home will be difficult because they prefer cash assets...but if you can prove it is worth almost 100,000 and ou can sell it quickly then you will have enough for 2 people

Congratulations on your NOA2!!! As far as I know only the US citizen's assets may be included. I am not 100% sure. Maybe some of the more experienced members may help you.

my question about the I-864 Affidant of Support. My wife is a U.S. citizen and I own my home in Morocco, could I add the value of my home in Morocco to our total asset value? to meet the poverty guidelines ?

I am wondering about question 17 in i-130 .I am a american citizen filing the petition for my husband I was looking at a example form, and it listed the petioner under where it is asking for more information about the alien relitive and any childern, i do not know if this was a typo mistake and want to double check with someone who has

filed out this form correctly and had it accepted, thanks

ok lets say iam am the petioner and i am married to the the beneficary, and i have a kid but its not the beneficary. for question 17 i would put only my name since i am the RELATIVES HUSBAND. if the RELATIVE (BENIFEICARY) doesnt have any kids of his/her Own all you write is the husband/wife of the BENIFICARY which would be in most cases the petioner. you dont wirte the beneficary's name or your kids name. got it?

Its about the benficary so so if the benficary has a kid or a husband the thats what you put. if its not the beneficarys kid dont write it. other thatn that nothing else. was i clear?

Information about your alien relative (continued)," shows information about the petitioner, not the alien relative... Is that a mistake? if yes , then what's the right to put on , the petitioner or the beneficiary ? and what about if the petitioner has kid ? should list him or not ? thank you

She has to write her legal name. In the USA, many women do not change their name on marriage so if her drivers license, passport etc are still in her maiden name then use that. if she changed her name to yours, then she should use yours.
