  1. I think you should respect other members emotions and refrain from calling them names like crazy and idiots!?

You should read ur comments again before u posts.. U know there is a option to preview before u post! Maybe u should use that more often.. Just a suggestion

thanks Saint William. Keep your suggestions to yourself. I wasnt talking about you. And look at your posts too, btw. "touche" -- really?? do you even know what it means?

I dont want to get in a knit-picking argument with anyone. I am just as anxious to hear about my case but I don't come here with meaningless and fear mongering posts as soon as its the 20th.

Respect will be good if you have and you can show who ever here and use to be here. If my turn comes exactly I will be happy and that's not a bad thing to lose your mind because of happiness.you don't have a right to say somebody idiot here.

sorry William I accidentally replayed under your tread.very nice suggest.

REALLY??? you're the one to speak? Can you go back a few pages and check your posts?

Where are these people? I don't think people with NOV PD are that active here?

most of the people are here but they are not the overly crazy people like last few months where they started jumping up and down and whining since the 20th of each month. We also had crazies like "oh im on the phone with NVC now", " they just answered" , " oh they just put me on old" it was like a freaking twitter feed. Thank God those idiots are done. We now have a more composed group.

  3. No, it should start with 2011... all our numbers should be 2011 since it takes a year to get the case numbers!

It seems they are processing cases for 2009 PD's!?

how can that be? There are no pending cases from 2009. And look at the dates here there is 2011,2010 and several in 2012.

Someone with more knowledge of this schedule can answer? Do they change/update the schedule once online?

  4. I did write to Ombudsman, Mr.Donahue and even USCIS chief counsel Mr.Legomsky and will continue to do it atleast once every month. To members feeling frustrated about not receiving a favorable response, I differ in my opinion. At least a letter to highlight the issue helped congresswoman Zoe Lofgren to accommodate V visas for F2A spouses, although it hasnt made it out of immigration subcommittee. The point is not that no one cares, hence stop all effort. Legislation take long times to craft and implement. If people think its as easy as button click, which is what some people have come to expect, its grossly misplaced.

What I have demanded and requested is write to authorities about making the process more transparent. Make the visa issuance data in each consulate accessible if not monthly, then quarterly, if not quarterly then bi annually at the least. That is not demanding to change the law at the least. But do understand that F2A spouses represent a very small minority in the immigration benefit backlog which doesnt get audience because not enough voices are heard, perhaps. I dont want to paint false hopes, but if there is something that can be done to help reduce the anxieties of ebb and flow of the PD each visa bulletin, it is through requesting to see the same demand data that visa office claims to move their calendar by. I suppose its fair to request that much. And finally of around 88K visas available where is it getting issued or why is there spillover to other categories is what we can aim to figure out through constant attempts to mail/email or call.

Its up to each to decide whether it helps their cause rather than to feel frustrated.

Agree with you 100%. This is exactly what I was trying to say, just because the law didnt change or even if we didnt get a response back DOESNT mean no one heard or cared. WE need to be consistent and unrelenting in OUR efforts to bring the issue to the forefront. Not writing and not caring will get us nowhere.

I am writing letters too and AGAIN APPEAL to EVERYONE in this category to write letters as well.

Kumbhara you seem pretty well versed and aware of the situation. I do have some channels that I know CAN and MAY get us the VOICE we need for the issue to be highlighted. PM me and lets get something rolling here soon. If we can get support through all the channels we can get the word out in public and mass media and also the whitehouse petition.

  5. Am I the only one who feels something's amiss at DOS/Visa Office in the way the conduct their operations with respect to being transparent. FY 2011 ended in Sept 2011 and yet after 8 long months, they still haven't posted the ONLY report that indicates their issuance of F2A visas? The defunct page without any real data came online on DOS site at http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/statistics/statistics_5641.html

Given the fact that DOS Visa Office themselves predicted movement of upto 2.5 month, past two month's movement has barely been 1.5 months. I know that anything suggested towards improving the situation for F2A is immediately shot down on the pretext of legislative logjams in congress, but if you people who so passionately debate on PD movement, then atleast it would be more helpful if concerns of intentional non release of visa statistics be conveyed to the visa office. I dug up the address of Mr. Donahue in DOS as

    Mr. David Donahue

Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Visa Services

    Bureau of Consular Affairs

    Department of State

    2201 C Street, NW, Room 6811

    Anyone care to write?

Kumbhara, did you write to ombudsman?

OTHERS on this THREAD TOO- did you guys write to this ombudsman yet? if not please do , if you dont write or dont take action you guys should not come here whining every hour/everyday abhout how you are depressed, how you cant wait , how someone should help you blah blah blah.. if you dont take action to help yourself dont expect it as a freebee from others. WRITE TO THE OMBUDSMAN about the visa number allocations.

  6. sorry to tell this but f2a ppl have compromised with their destiny and so all the movement started by me,kumbahara and friends failed.....due to this i am not too optimistic abt it....but still i will sign it....thx for u sincere try...

I agree people here are either very negative or lazy. they will come on the threads and whine every hour but wont participate in anything constructive like writing letters to senators/ presidents office or signing petitions. But ###### and moan, they will in every prediction thread. I have written sevral letters to the presidents office and senators. We all need to send the letters to ombudsman about the visa number allocations as you and someone else here had pointed out. NOBODY on this forum seems to give a damn about it.

  8. Charles Oppenheim is the most reliable source of information we have: he is, after all, the Chief of the Visa Control and Reporting Division at the U.S. Department of State and responsible for the monthly visa number allocations and for preparing the visa bulletin. If he predicts that the cut-off date for F2A will move up to 2.5 months for the next three months, I believe him. He has the most information available and can base his estimates on data, not "strong feelings" like some people here.

Now obviously his estimates are only as good as his data, and therefore he also cannot predict the cut-off movement in the long term. In September 2010 he had good grounds for stating that F2A might be current or close to current in February 2011 - for months, he had been looking at a very short list of documentarily qualified immigrants. However, shortly after his meeting with AILA the demand exploded as USCIS started approving cases at a much faster pace, and the retrogression happened. Luckily for us, the situation at the moment is very different from 2010. Most 2009 and early 2010 filers have completed their cases long ago, and therefore the Visa Office is able to have an accurate number of documentarily qualified applicants and compare it with the number of available visas.

I had also hoped that we would have seen interview appointments by now, but it is not unheard of to receive an interview letter after the visa bulletin has been published. I've been reading this forum since September 2009, and it's only been during the past year or so that I remember people actually getting interviews before the VB was out.

FINALLY!! A much sensible and thoughtful post. We need posters like you, in fact you should post alteast once a month.

  9. First of all the Openheimer guy has limited knowledge(remember when he said F2A will be current couple of years back)then there are some junk lawyers writing some random stuff based on interpretations of a guy who himself may be wrong :)

Relax guys I am sure there will be movement of 2-3 months in the next few months.. if there isn't one what are you going to do about it apart from scratching your head. I Come here to get(Mostly)/pass(rarely)information not to pass on unneeded stress over things we have no control over.. just saying.

exactly!! thank you!!.. hate it when people come and jump up and down in these threads.. boo hoo no letter yet, o migosh its goin to stall.. omigosh its going to retrogress.. omigosh its 28th of the month and no letter yet.. omigosh the world is ending.. omigosh i read on www.dumbass.com visa movement stopping.. omigosh... blah blah..

just chill.. they dont have to start sending letters when u want them. quit creating uneccessary hoopla posts.
