Arrive at the Embassy in Kingston at 8:20 for my 9 o'clock appointment,, my documents were checked by embassy personnel and was directed through security screening,,,then directed to the interview area where i got a number. I waited for about 45 minutes then my number was called. I was then asked to hand in my medical, police certificate, DHL conformation and my passport photos,, i was then finger printed and told to sit down and listen for my number or name to be called, about 30 minute later i was call to the interview window,,,i was then ask a few question

Do you have kids and how many?

What my profession?

What my husband profession?

That was it ,,,she smile and said i was approve,,thank be to God

She didnt ask for any tax return,,even thought i did carry 2011 and 2012

Congratulations!

You can certainly try contacting your consulate for an earlier interview appointment. There was someone in the Scandinavian forum last year who had managed to get an earlier appointment at the Stockholm embassy. I am not sure if your consulate would be willing to be equally flexible, but it's worth a try.

Thank you Athena. I appreciate your help. I will try to get in touch with the consulate, not sure thought what would be a compelling enough reason for them to move it.

how was your interview?

Finally!!!!, I called NVC and my family's interview is scheduled during the first week of April.

I guess due to Mumbai consulate being busy they could not schedule the interview in March even though we were current in March.

Called NVC. Interview scheduled for 3rd week of April. My PD is Nov 4. Im happy but was hoping for 1st week of April since my PD is Nov 4. Is there anyway to talk to Consulate and move it up a bit?

not everyone. only if your pd is current and you havent received Il yet.

Called and spoke to a supervisor today, SAD news for us. There is NO dates available in MARCH. EFFIN CONSULATE cant handle the load apparently. #######.. all these months of waiting and now even when the PD is current we have to wait another month..

I have been trying to call NVC but their number is not working, seems like it's still down due to the blizzard last week. Has anyone else had luck?

hey, sorry have been extremely busy so haven't been able to check on here, but still now IL. This is very frustrating and disheartening. Seems like only a couple of embassies are having scheduling issues. Out of all the months this could happen its happening just now. Last month there were a very few F2A interviews and even overall number of interviews was less. Just this month they can seem to handle it for whatever reason.

Feb is a shorter month and there is a fed holiday, could that be the reason? I know, it sucks to have your PD current and still have no word about interviews. Hang in there and good luck.

I thought you are very calm and composed. Don't get very anxious like other people...Hopefully, now you can understand what others are going through..Everyone takes out their frustrations in some or other ways.

You really don't listen or understand, do you? Go back and read my post and understand what I was talking about. Then look at the date today, understand HOW the situations are different than what I was talking about.

Can't believe, out of all the other times it could have happened, its happening now when my pd is current. They only had 17 pages worth interviews in February as opposed to 33 the previous month and 22 in March. Surely they can have atleast 30

pages worth interviews, right?

Well, there is some hope. VB usually gets released in the second week of the month, so we have another week, potentially.

2) They do send IL's even after VB is released( as read in other threads)

3) They do modify the Mumbai Consulate schedule atleast once.

So, HOPEFULLY we will get something. We all need some prayers.

Interviews are scheuled to the cases who had their cases completed FIRST... regardless of the priority date. So if the embassy/consulate has slots to fit they would if scheduled if not then they'll be set for the following month. Keep in mind that F2A cases are not the only cases the consulate sees and IR/CR1 , K1/K2 visas are given interview priority - this means they are scheduled 1st.

Thanks for your input Ricardo. I hear what you're saying but my case completed in 2011. It's pathetic if I have to wait another whole month even after waiting years for my PD to become current. Been literally counting hours. This sucks donkey _alls.

How can they release VB without some members with PD within time frame not getting their ILs? This doesn't make any sense.

Not everyone has received their ILs yet nor have they heard confirmation on the phone. What's going on?

Well, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for next week. I hope to hear my much awaited good news. on the other hand, I think its' mainly indians and philippines that have got the IL so far. Lucky them. I will definitely get this letter come rain or shine! I JUST MUST HAVE IT.

There are a couple of Indians that haven't received it either. Hope something happens today. I like you positive attitude. Good luck to us all.

Im not so sure lawyers would be able to do much in this case. They're just gonna defer it to the NVC or the consulate. And they both have scripted answers.

Surprised to hear that. I thought only Indian/Mumbai consulate client hadn't gotten their ILs as it was already published a few days ago. I have been calling and keep getting the same scripted response, no visa number available.

Can any of the experienced members tell us all is this a routine problem? Do some people actually NOT get their IL despite case being complete and PD about to be current?

Can we get all the people who haven't received their ILs for pds until Nov 22, please respond. Till now there seems to be only 2-3 people who havent heard anything. Are there others from a different country?

Well, that's your take and perception and not everyone has to follow what you think. You should be matured enough to not to get disturbed by other people's negative/positive comments. You may be more calm and composed but not everyone can be..Some or other way you have to take out your frustrations and everyone has their own ways to do that so no one is obliged to think in the same way that you think. This is a public forum and everyone has their rights to express their feelings. Keep aside your personal likes/dislikes.

I would suggest you all to accept the people as they are. You can't change someone's in-built nature so for you that person may sound like an idiot or stupid however that person might be feeling relieved/lighter after taking out their frustrations here. You don't know what's going on with them at their emotional level.

So let everyone have their freedom of speech as long as they are not abusing others or passing racial comments.

Coming on here and giving negative views and fear mongering doesn't help anyone but themselves. Dont tell me what they feel emotionally, we are ALL in the same boat, some longer than others. Our point is only this - WHY come on here every single day and sometimes hourly and talk pessimistically? Why spread the fear and grow other members anxiety by saying oh the process is stalling, oh retrogression oh no IL yet? This in spite of regular members telling them that ILs dont always go out on the 20th of each month- just wait. But do they listen? Thank you! Exactly my thoughts! That's why I actually avoid coming here. No matter how much you tell them, wait its not time yet to receive letters, they wont listen and continue their whining, as if that would make NVC send out letters immediately.

Coz in 14th March only 2 F2A cases r there....If its not then surely they will update at a later date....
