  1. police certificate is already in hand, we have tons of photos already in a binder for the interview and after talking to the drs, as a K1 visa applicant i do not need my vaccinations taken care of before i reach the usa. so my plan was to have them done by my GP on the nhs before i fly out.

any of the forms i should print out and fill out before they are sent by the consulate as we are still waiting to hear from London?

  2. Got our NVC case number letter today (we found out our number last week and that the case had been forwarded to London on July 18th)

i am currently in the USA visiting my fiancee and im heading back to England on August 2nd. I have contacted the medical centre and i can arrange an appointment for the day i land (aug 3rd). What documents should i have prepared before flying back to England i.e. any documents my fiancee/sponsor needs to sign etc.

trying to cut our wait time down as much as possible so i can get back here and be with my fiancee.

  3. also, i was wondering what the deal is with the vaccinations. on the us embassy site it says K1 visa applicants do not need the full list of vaccinations at the medical. i understand these will be needed in time for the AOS once the visa has been approved. I am currently in the USA and we received our NVC documents this week. I am going home on August 2nd and wanted to book my medical for August 3rd since i will be in London anyway. I have a feeling im going to need a top up on my tetanus and MMR injections. I was wondering if i could go to the interview without these top ups and get them done afterwards on the NHS if the vaccination guidelines arent required until the AOS phase. thanks

  4. ok, i just wanted to check what would be best. if we can shorten the waiting time then thatd be awesome. We're still waiting on our hard copy of the nvc paperwork and packet 3, but we called nvc and they have assigned us a case number and sent the documents to London. Im currently in the USA so we have downloaded the paperwork for packet 3 from various links. Just the medical to book and pay the filing fee. Trying to do this so that i can spend as little time as possible in the UK so i can get back here faster!

If we "pad" the wedding date, will they grill me about it at the interview?

  5. After contacting NVC today we have been told our application has been sent to London and i have our NVC case number. I am currently in the usa visiting my fiancee and can remain here until August 31st. Obviously i will be going back to England by then, i was curious as to how best to arrange things to speed things up. I have heard that in order for the interview to be arranged the medical must take place first. Should i pay to move my flight up and fly back earlier to take the medical so that the interview can be arranged sooner or continue as planned and fly back on August 28th and arrange the medical asap once i arrive in England and hope the interview date is arranged quickly thereafter?
