January filer here, received an uodate yesterday that my case has begun to be processed. Just waiting on a bio appointment now. Any idea how long that generally takes?

Im currently applying for aos and am having some trouble finding a surgeon in florida who will verify my vacciations. Do I need to make a physical appointment to visit a physician to have these verified?

I dont know if anyone lives in the west country but I was on tv tonight on the news. I was at bristol zoo and a baby gorilla had just been born. There were cameras interviewing people and I somehow made it on tv! Haha. Day before I leave and I make my tv debut.

As i sit here waiting to check in to my fly i just wanted to say thankyou to everyone who has helped me during this process (it seems like its taken years!).

visa cmae at 8.30 this morning, weekend slowed things down. got 2 txts from dx to notify me that it would be delivered today. 2 days to go!!!!!

Visa came today at 830. I paid for 12pm delivery so was pretty chuffed with that. Still gutted I couldnt fly out today (and directly to florida). Flying to jfk on thursday.

My fiancee is from south jersey, so we have been to philly a bunch. Her mom is picking me up and im staying there for the night. My first question to her was can we go to pats on south street to get a cheese steak haha!

Im flying to jfk on thursday for my poe (virgin changed their air miles prices and I could only afford to get to jfk!). Then on friday im flying from philadelphia to orlando. Will I need any documentation for the transfer flight from philly? Will I have to go through poe again once I arrive in orlando?

Ive gone through my documents so many times its ridiculous lol. Gotta catch a bus at 4.47am to london. Once I get the bus ill be less nervous haha. Thanks for all the wishes guys, was hoping id get to meet a fellow vj'er at the embassy.

POE is orlando. booking ym tickets via air miles the minute my passport gets back

Send a copy of the entire package once again, make sure its sent recorded delivery and its all dated as it was when you first sent it. Once it has come up on the royal maiol website as signed for, call the embassy and get an email ocde. Email the embassy and tell them you had planned to have him fly october 30th for a wedding on november 11th and that your packet being lost has held up your application.

they lost mine so after 3 weeks I resubmitted and got an interview date 2 weeks later.

Going to the embassy to morrow. Any other vjers have the same interview date? Any last minute advice would be greatly appreciated

my attorney advised me otherwise but if youve spoken to customs officers then ill take your word for it

were having a celtic handfasting, were not big fans of traditional ceremonies and arent particularly religious. we didnt feel making promises under the eyes of god was for us. the handfasting is going to be awesome, so different than a "normal" wedding.

my kilt is badass, now just to get my sgian dubh (ceremonial knife) through customs.....

call the embassy and tell them you have been told by DOS that your package has not arrived. they will give you a code to put in the header of the email (if i thought it would work id give you the code is used but im fairly certain they change it frequently). in the email include your case number, name and DOB. explain that you are worried that your package has not been received and you should get a response fairly quickly.

Without google talk and skype, this process would have been a million times harder and alot more expensive. Plus weve been busy preparing for the wedding. I was fitted for my kilt two weeks ago and have been making alterations etc.

Just be warned, us customs can deny you entry based on the fact you have a visa pending. I travelled during the time between my noa2 date and I was questioned thouroughly. Get a letter from your work stating that they expect you back at work when your trip ends. Also take any other proof to show the customs officer you intend to return to the uk. They may think you are planning on staying permanantly and deny you entry.
