I am planning a visit to meet my fiance's family. We are right around the 4 month mark awaiting our NOA2 for our K-1. We are thinking about getting married while I am there. We love each other and we would like for his family to be a part of that since he will be living in the States with me. Anyways, we are wanting to know if getting married will prolong the visa process? Will we have to start over and submit for a marraige visa? What are your recommendations? Also, I would like to know if the marriage will be valid in the U.S. and how will I go about that. I am completely clueless. All help is appreciated. Thank you guys.

My fiance' lives in Afghanistan. A few days ago he received a call that he did not recognize. It was a weird number +441223344. It was a women who spoke perfect English. She asked him did he speak English. He said yes. She said something else but he could not hear her. He told her that the connection is very bad there sometimes. She said it is fine, I just wanted to know if you speak english. Then the phone was cut. She didn't call back and he couldnt call her back because the number was not valid. He had no idea who it was, but then we talked about it and wondered would it be someone from the Visa Center? Do they usually makes calls like this? We are waiting for our NOA2 and we are around the 4 month mark. Ok, thanks for your time.

I just printed out all my bills for the past 6 months. What I failed to remember is that when I was deployed in Afghanistan I put my mothers name on the account just in case something happened she would be able to take care of it for me. My bill is in my name but when I printed them out online I noticed that on the top of every pages ( 100's of pages) it says summary for ( had my mothers name) I called the phone company and they took her name off and said there was no way to change past bills because they have already been "printed". Should I just leave it as is and just attach a paper explaining why my mothers name is on the top of every page or should I mark through her name with a sharpie. So, there is no confusion,or will they wonder what I sharpied through? Im going to go to the phone company today anyways to see if they can give me a "offical paper" stating my name and that im the account holder for this number. What do you guys think? Should this cause a problem? Thanks -Dani

Since my fiance lives in Afghanistan and is currently working as a interpreter. He gave me all his information and I filled out his G-325A and emailed it to him for him to print out and sign. Then he mailed it to me.We did the same thing for the intent to marry signature. Part of his G-325 is hand written and the other part is typed. Is this a problem? Also, His expiration date on his G-325 says 6/30/2011. He had already mailed this off before the new edition came out on August 8. I read that they will accept all previous additons. Is this true and should I have any problems with this? Lastly, the dates on all our paper work are different. Some of them even a month or more difference. Mainly because I sent his paperwork off early since it needed time to be mailed back and I just finished my paperwork. Im sure this wont cause a problem, but just wondering if anyone expierienced any problems with this? THANKS for the help. -Danielle

Im beginning to gather all the information I need to send in our K-1 Visa packet to USCIS. I have an idea about the process, now that I have read many of these forums. I just need help on filling out this paperwork correctly. So I have several questions.
My fiance' lives in Afghanistan and I was born and currently live in the United Stats. Thanks in advance for your help.
(1) When fillng out the I-129F Petition. How many details or how specific do I need to be when explaining how we met on part.B question 18? For example, should I just go ahead and list that I was deployed as a U.S. soldier and he worked with us as our interpreter. Give the month we met and the last day we were together? Should I go more into detail or should this be enough?
(2) G-325A: My Fiance' lives in Kabul, Afghanistan. Currenly he is in another province working as an interpreter for the United States Army.
-For Applicants redidence should we list where he is right now on base? By the time USCIS recieve this packet he may not be at that base anymore.
-Many Afghanis never receive birth certificates. So he does not know his parents date of birth. All he knows is the year in which they were born. Should I leave the D.O.B as January 1st and then the Year they were born? Then attach an additional sheet to my packet to explain this situation.
-For applicants address outside the united states for more than a year. Since he lives in Afghanistan would we put "none"?. Or go ahead and put his address in Afghanistan?
Also, in Afghanistan many addresses do not have house numbers. So all we have for his address is a street name/section and the city. We dont even have any type of zip code. Should I attach an additional sheet to our packet explaining this? Im concerened later on down the road how the Embassay in Kabul will send my Fiance' any paperwork.
Maybe all these additional sheets I will be attaching will cause a delay? We do have several pictures together and I have phone/chat records. Should I have friends that know the both of us write statements confirming our relationship?. Also, we have both spoken with each others parents, and they approve. Should we also have them write statements?
I know this is a lot of questions. Im sure I have more but can't think of them right now
Thank you, for taking the time to read through this. What are you suggestions or advice.? Or have any of you come across similar situatons in your Visa Journey?
THANKS!
