  1. Hi, dear all,

Finally my mom gets her visa package from US Consulate in Guangzhou today, since my mom's medical exam will be expired soon, she must enter USA before Mar.13,2012.

I was told there are two sealed packages, the passport is stapled on one package, they all are put in a big envelop.

She can only take her passport off the package, but cannot open the two sealed packages, right?

Thank you all very much for your help on the way of visa processing, good luck to all of you.

  2. Time passes, alas

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/354183-iv-medical-examination-expired-within-6-months-urgent/

Your Mom was EP case? if so, reprint the interview letter, the medicos will need that .

If she wasn't an EP case -

SHE HAS SOME DOCUMENT with her GUZ Casefile number on it, have her bring that into the medical exam,

then the medicos will do another medical exam for her.

If you'd like to study the medical forms, please review

    GUZ IV forms http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/forms_and_packets.htm

Regardless, she can show up for medical exam ming tian, get it done.

Thanks for your suggestion, Darnell. It's really a hard way for this IV processing.

  3. They will not issue the visa if the exam is expired. She will need a new exam.

    Thanks for your reply.

what materials needed for medical exam recheck? after get the medical report, should she mail the report and her passport back to US Consulate in Guangzhou for another visa?

  4. Hi, dear all,

My mom has sent her passport to US Consulate in Guangzhou for Visa, but until now she still didn't get her passport back. Her medical exam will be expired within week, I am afraid of that when she got her visa, her medical exam is already expired. If this happens, what should my mom do next? If you can give me more detail information, I am very appreciate, thanks!

  5. Hi, dear all,

My mom got a blue strip in her IV interview, after she send extra materials to US consulate in Guangzhou, she got a letter from consulate asking her mail her passport to them for visa.

The problem is that my mom got her IV medical exam at the end of October, 2011, but from the letter she got from US consulate last week, they told my mom must mail her passport before her medical exam expired date(03/18/2012), and must enter USA before that day (03/18/2012),otherwise, she need to do medical exam again.

I check the internet that the medical exam is valid for one year, but now it's less than half year, they told her it will be expired in 03/18/2012,I am really confused,is there anybody having any idea about this issue?

    Thanks!

  6. Hi, dear all,

My mom is scheduled to send materials at Feb 2, 2012, and see visa officer at Feb 3, 2012. I put all the notary certificates in on envelop and all other supporting materials in another envelop.

When she sent materials to US consulate in Guangzhou, the officer return some files to her, including my marriage certificate, birth certificate, also including my mom's expired passport, visa extend approval form (she extended her visa in 2001) and form I230. So when she went to interview next day, the visa officer told my mom that you miss expired passport, visa extend approval form, it make mom very nerves, she thought that all the files needed are still in the envelop I prepared for her and forgot that some of files were returned to her previous day, so she got a blue note to ask her apply missing documents, but in fact that all the files are in her hand.

I make me very disappointed. Does anybody has this kind of experience? Since all the materials are required for interview, why they return some of them back before interview? Also I remember that if interview is passed, the petitioner need to sign I230 on page 4 after interview, why they return I230 to my mom while document collection step??

    Thanks ahead!

  7. My mom never has the TB history, and also no any sign of it. The doctor also told my mom that it's not serious, they just make sure of it.

Now they schedule my mom's sputum test next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, overlap with her interview schedule (document intake at Monday, interview at Tuesday).

If goese to document intake, does she need to tell the officer her situation?

  8. Usually, for medical stuff, they not keep the passport at the IV Unit, the Beneficiary keeps it, and later, a call-in-letter (weird name, ya?) is sent to the Beneficiary, with a range of times, days of the week , to come in with the passport.

    Darnell, thank you very much.

After get the call-in letter, does my mom have to come back to Guangzhou again or just mail-in the passport to consulate?

  9. Thanks all of you for your reply.

My mom will stay in Guangzhou for one more week for further check. She is scheduled to send documents at Oct 31, 2011, next Monday.

I ALREADY send email to NVC to tell them my mom cannot make the appointment,is it matter? In this case, can my mom still send documents as scheduled and goese to interview next mooring (Tuesday)? OR as long as my mom has the appointment letter, she can go to the IV interview?

I have thought she need to reschedule her interview only after she get her medical results.

I will ask my mom to send docuemnts as schedule.

Please give me more idea, thanks!

  10. Hi, dear all,

I feel so disappointment that my mom is required to do extra check after x-ray exam and the result will be available after 40 days, so my mom cannot keep visa appointment.

    I have several questions:

1: After 40 days, will the hospital inform NVC or my mom for her check result?

2: If my mom's health exam is ok after 40 days, who will inform NVC to reschedule next visa interview, the hospital or my mom?

3: I already send NVC my mom's police certificate (issued last December), if the police certificate is expired in next visa interview, does she need to renew her police certificate?

    Thanks!

  11. I check my mom's visa appointment letter again, the document table is as the following:

    CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS C

    1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1 S

    1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 2 S

    2 - PASSPORT Y

    3 - BIRTH CERTIFICATE S

    4 - ADOPTION F

    5 - MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE F

    6 - MARRIAGE TERMINATION S

    7 - COURT RECORDS F

    F - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE S

    8 - CUSTODY PAPERS F

    9 - MILITARY RECORDS F

    10 - CHINA - MAINLAND POLICE CERTIFICATE Y

    FEE PAYMENT $

    PHOTOGRAPH Y

    F - PETITIONER MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE S

    F - PETITIONER BIRTH CERTIFICATE S

    GUZ P3 SUPPLEMENT Y

    I have 2 questions:

1: the first line "CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS C", what's this? do I need to bring this to interview? if yes, where can I get it?

    2: in line "F - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE S", "F - PETITIONER MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE S" and "F - PETITIONER BIRTH CERTIFICATE S", what's the meaning of prefix "F" character?

    Thanks!

  13. Dear all,

I use EP to apply IR5 for my mother, she will go to Guangzhou to interview two weeks later.

I want to get all original certificates (except Police) back after interview, so I prepare copies for all certificates.

Do I need to give all the copies while document intake, or bring the copies to interview, and give them to visa officer after interview approved?

    Thanks!

  14. I use electronic processing for my mom's IR5.

I already submit all the certificate files to NVC by email. I also prepare a copy of all the certificate to let my mom take to interview, together with original certificates, the purpose is taking my original certificate back after interview. Should my mom send all the copies while document intake or directly take them to interview, after interview, then give the copy to them, and request the original file back?

I want to get my birth certificate back since I mailed the only one to my mom for interview.

    Thanks!
