  1. My words of advise is to simply relax. I know that this might be asking a lot but if you can it will help immensly. Most IO's are human and understand the pressure that you have been under just to make it this far. Being from Australia my IO said that he believed that I would have only 'minor problems' with the language and that therefore the language test would not take place. He then went on to ask the ten questions - I remember the last one distinctly. He asked me to describe the geological structure of the pre-Cambrian period Californian coastline. When I replied, " I don't believe that question is on the list' his reply was, "No its not and you have passed......congratulations'

  2. Like you, I too received email conformation on Feb 21 and that my Green Card had been ordered.

Then in the mail on that day, I received my 'Welcome to the USA' letter followed by a further email on Feb 23 that my AOS had been approved and that a confirmation letter had been sent.

I can only imagine that our respective Green Cards will follow shortly.

  3. From my experience, I recieved my NOA advising that CSC had received my transferred AOS on December 21. Had no touches until about Feb 15 and then on Feb 21 I received email notification that it had been approved without interview.

Hope your wait will not be much longer.

Sorry - I think I might have added to confusion. I was referring to my AOS pplication and not to a K1 application.

    Regret Confusion.

  4. Although I have infrequently contributed to this forum, I have nevertheless monitored the information, almost daily, that it provided. This information not only was valuable but served to provide support and comfort, particularly when I read that there were many fellow 'VJ'ers' who were experiencing the same sense of isolation, depair and frustration that I was also experiencing. I submitted my I485 at the end of July 2005 and heard nothing, apart from Biometrics, until mid December when USCIS advised that my AOS application was transferred to CSC. This news brightened my day but this soon dimmed as nothing further was advised. That was until today (Feb 22) nearly seven months after my original application was submitted, when I received an email to advise that my I485 had been approved - and without an interview. Two hours later in the mail, I received my 'Welcome to the USA' Letter.

I wanted to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all those fellow 'VJ'ers' for providing, perhaps unknowlingly, the support, comfort and help to me. Furthermore, to all those who are waiting final AOS approval, let me say that amid all the frustration, isolation and sometimes despair, that there is hope. The wheels at USCIS seem to grind slowly but they DO GRIND.

My thanks again for all those who helped me by 'greasing the wheels'.
