hello!! you just have to keep checking the online portal thing where u scheduled ur interview etc. after a few days right at the top it will show u the tracking #...does take awhile tho...congrats by the way!!!

coworkers, even tho we are on different teams AND different countries, so alex quit and found another programming job. more of the fact that its a really stupid rule and doesn't make sense based on the distance etc, she wanted to make sure it was actually for real i think.

good, i hope u r able to go too! and that it goes smoothly for u! the officer was a early 30s american girl. very nice, & a gb packer fan, so we talked about the packers/football for like 5 minutes! thn just like that she says ur visa is approved, and explained how dhl works with delivering it now. our story is a little odd so she questioned it a lot, like we can't date cowo...

haha, yes he is very responsible...which is good but i want him to come with me! lol i don't knw if u have a ring or not, but they did ask if i had it and asked to see it. also if we have the wedding date, where it will b, and if i have a dress...i do and included the receipt as part of the evidence

things r good! i fly back to the states on monday, & alex doesn't knw whn he'll b coming yet. he is lead on a big project at work n doesn't wnt to leave thm high n dry. he will talk 2 his boss today or tomorrow; but sometime in november he'll b coming. he also has to sell his car. r u going to go 2 the interview too?

i wud wait 2 days prolly; once they received alex's case (in afternoon) it took 5 days till they allowed us to schedule an interview. so i think it takes awhile 4 thm to enter all info in2 the system. once u get an email reply u can look under immigrant visa's on their site and there is a hyperlink 4 k1 visa's ready for interview. whn u c ur case they'll let u schedule!

alex got his visa today!!! woohoo!

visa approved!!!! sooo happy!! we were at the consulate 4 just under 5 hours tho!

was approved on a friday, and the following friday they had it entered and sent out to the consulate. but that monday was a holiday...so technically only 4 working days

i can't believe they didn't even reply to the email!! they responded to mine same day i sent them. wonder what the heck is going on there. i hope u get thru soon!!!

i called them every day!! honestly i started calling a little early too, cause i'm so impatient! but yeah, i'd call every day!!!!

i say reinstall whatsapp, i have had to do that before too. and we aren't staying long, just monday night, thn we r leaving tuesday after the interview. we're flying and gonna go to cuenca after the interview, so depending whn the flight leaves we cud meet up tuesday maybe. alex can have a coffee with us prolly, i wanna c the iguana park! hahaha

once u c urs, use the online tool to schedule! Oh and whn calling the nvc, skip the automated system n go directly to an operator. it all moves very quick now!!!
