Green Card in hands! I received it in the mail last Friday.
Good luck to those still waiting, hope you guys have a short journey like I did
-
We have just sent off our I-129F to the Dallas Lockbox via U.S.P.S. and sent it using their Certified Mail service (Certified Mail, Return Receipt). Through tracking it via the U.S.P.S. site, it states that "Notice Left (No Authorized Recipient Available)". I'm just a little worried that it's been sent to a near-by Post Office as it couldn't be signed for. Is this the service that the majority of you wonderfully, informative people use or have we made a mistake by sending Certified Mail to a P.O. Box? I notice that on the guide, it advises to send that way so I guess it's worked for others, right?
You will be fine, it happened the same to me. When someone from uscis gets the package later and sign the receipt you will have your confirmation.

That's very fast!!!! My Wife's paperwork was submitted around the same time and we are still awaiting AOS approval.
good luck, hope you have the same luck
Congratulations!

*** Thread transferred from general AOS forum to AOS Case Filing & Progress subforum. ***
thank you
Alrighty - What could've been the case is that you got RFE'd and sent the response to that address, then it got transferred/routed to CSC without online status showing or updating. There are a few cases who get RFE'd only to be transferred to CSC shortly thereafter, yet before the they received the RFE response. Anyways, just a question out of curiousity.
yeah, could be. That makes sense
-
OP, out of curiousity, which address did you send your RFE to?
I sent it to the Po Box 648004, Lee's Summit, MO, that's the address that was on the RFE pink paper they sent to me.
Omggg! That's awesome! We submitted my AoS package on july 19! Still waiting for news about transfer or an interview! Hoping to have the same luck! Congrats
Thank you, hope yours goes as smooth as mine
Congrats! Have a happy and safe journey.
How did you manage to bypass the interview? What are the circumstances required for that to occur? My husband and I are still awaiting the interview date as he had his medical more than a week ago in London.
Thanks
Like moomin clarified, I adjusted from K1 Visa and I am in the US.
Congratulations! That is awesome! We just submitted my husbands AOS Sept 4. Keeping our fingers crossed it goes smooth.
Thank you, good luck

oh my...
I think they have started to approve them at NBC to take load of CSC.
This would be so nice, I know those who had their processes transferred to CSC have been waiting for a long time.
Congratulations!!!
Thanks

My husband also did not get an invitation for an interview. Greencard was just sent. We are waiting for the arrival. We are delighted about not needing an interview.
Congrats to you also.
Thanks, this is so great isn't it? Congrats!!!

Congratulations, awesome.

I am so happy, my AOS was approved on Sep 6th, in less than 4 months, and today I received the welcome letter at home. At this point I was waiting for a transference, what is more usual for those adjusting from k1 Visa, or an interview, but none of this happened and I love it
I wish the same luck to those still waiting.
-
They are still using Sedex or Sedex 10 to return K1 Visas Passports
-
It's about time!!! Congrats!!!
Thank you
Congratulations!!! Fantastic News
Thank you

OMG, I can't beleive it!!! USCIS just updated my I-485 status with Card/ Document Production
On September 6, 2012, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you.
At this point, I was waiting for a transference to CSC or an interview, what is more usual! But none of this happened, which is really good! Happy dance

August 16, 2012 - Received EAD Card via USPS Priority Mail
Congrats
-
Not every state accepts this. I don't think CA does.
Well, the information is on the CA DMV official website, linked on my previous post.
"Only the original or a certified copy of one of the following documents is acceptable:
- Employment Authorization Card
- Notice of Action (I–797 Approved Petition) – must indicate approved extension of stay or change in status that grants temporary or permanent residency, or indicates that an original, duplicate or renewal Resident Alien card is forthcoming."
-
Thanks! I didn't get it today. I will be watching my mailbox tomorrow for sure
Congrats!!
Thank you
-
Hi guys,
So I really need to start driving. Its actually becoming a huge hinderance! Does anyone know if its possible to apply from a license, specifically in California, whilst going through the adjustment process?
Thanks!
You can either take your I–797 (NOA) stating you have started your AOS process or wait for your EAD (Employment Authorization Card) and go to DMV, they will issue a temporay DL for you.

Congratzzzz!!!! I jus checked my case ol n i got my AP/EAD approved...... so happyyy!!!! but im still nervous 4 the interview comin up.....
Thank you... Congrats on your EAD/AP approval too, you should get it within 7 days or so. As for the interview, hang in there, you will be fine and soon you will be with your GC in hands ::

Finally got EAD/AP combo card in the mail today
-
I think you are talking about your signature? Click on Settings on the upper right corner, then click Profile and then Change Signature and Edit it yourself.
-
You should be receiving in a week or so, my husband received his EAD 8 days after the approval,
On the website went directly to "Card/Document production" message.
Thank you, very much

Hey guys,
It is the first time I post here, I have been following this thread for a while though. I got an email and text message from USCIS today saying my EAD/AP were approved yayyy
I have looked at some timelines here and saw they send the card pretty fast after approval. But I have a question to those out there who have already received their EAD Card... how long does it take for the status to change from "Post Decision Activity" to "Card/Document Production"? Not a big deal, just curious
Thanks

You don't need to send any of the worksheets or summary. You are required to send the 1040, the W2s, every 1099 if used, any schedule if used. A tax transcript ordered from the IRS would replace all the documents I already mentioned.
Thanks a lot for your reply, Old_Dog_Barking! This is what I needed to know

Hello, everyone!
I see some of you guys are having interviews, I hope everything goes quick and you all receive your papers soon.
My process is still on hold because I also got a RFE, they asked for the tax return 2011(someone wrote by hand: form 1040, 2011), I have everything I need to send them, however I have a question regarding to the Form 1040: My husband used turbotax to file his taxes, and besides the form 1040, it was also printed lots of other forms, like: Federal Information worksheet, Personal Information worksheet for Taxpayer, Dependent and Nondependent Information worksheet, Tax Summary, and so on... My question is: Should I send just the copy of the form 1040 (2 pages) plus a copy of the W2? Or should I send the whole thing, including all portion of papers printed?
I am sorry it sounds like a dumb question, but I am not so acquainted with those kind of papers, I thought you guys could clarify it to me. Thanks in advance.

They usually send a letter on the mail to the beneficiary's address in Brazil, but this letter sometimes is not received or comes late. So you should send them an email about a week after the packet is sent by NVC and ask when your interview is scheduled for. To make it easy for them to find your case, put the RDJ case number on the subject and petitioner and beneficiary's names, DOB, USCIS case number and date of approval on your message.
The consulate email address is ImmigrationRio@state.gov.
