Brett and I met in Vancouver at the end of June 2004 - he was in town on business. I ended up going out for dinner with a friend of mine last minute and was not that excited about it - I did it as a favour. Well, I am sure glad I did because Brett was there!!! :) We hit it off throughout the night and he ended up cancelling his flight the next day and we hung out until I took him to the airport the day after. We had an amazing time together and talked about seeing each other again...but he was in Texas and I am in Vancouver so who knows...right? Well I walked him into the airport and when we got to the counter the fellow told him that his flight was cancelled! We just looked at each other and smiled....it was meant to be. We had another amazing day together and went to White Rock beach...it was so romantic and we had so much to talk about. By the time I drove Brett to the airport the next afternoon we both knew at this point that somehow we HAD to see each other again... and we did...he came here, I went there, back and forth. And then on a vacation in the Dominican Republic together 8 months later he proposed...and here we are. This Canadian soooooooooo loves her Texan and can't wait to marry him! xo
