  1. Kezzie,

Im glad there are people here that know the process as this women obviously didnt and i wasnt sure either way so im glad ive checked this out. Ill go get this sorted before i file everything.

    Thanks, Tom

I still dont understand how they got your I-94 out of your passport????

    Kezzie

The Women said she needed to take a copy of my passport as i didnt have any other photo id with me so she could put it on record. She also told me that the I-94 gets sealed in the envelope which i asked her to clarify this and she said she new what she was doing so i took her word for it but i guess i was wrong to.

  2. Im not going to file for AP as i dont see a need to leave the country any time soon. But this kinda has me wondering on wither this person new what she was doing by putting the I-94 in the envelope because i dont just want to break the seal and take the I-94 out then send it. Did you get ur vaccination records transfered to the I-693A ?? and if so did they put it in a sealed envelope ??

    Tom

Your I-94 should be in your passport..... How did the medical people get it????

I would go back and tell them to remove it from the envelope and reseal it so you can mail the medical papers with your AOS...

Put your I-94 back in your passport... you need it for the AOS interview..

    Kezzie

    Kezzie,

I thought you had to sent the I-94 with the application or do you just send a copy of it ??

    Tom

  3. I went the other day to get my vaccination records transfered onto the I-693A which is required to file for AOS. Now when i did the women put the form into and envelope and sealed it and put all over it confidental and only to be opened by the USCIS BUT she also put my I-94 in this envelope and said thats how its done.

Can anyone confirm this for me as im about to send everything off and i dont want to run the risk of an RFE because of this. Can anyone tell me if there I-94 was sealed in the envelope with the I-693A when they went to get this done ??

    Any help is appreciated,

    Tom

  4. hey sweet wedding announcement website. Where did you guys get that & mind if i ask how much? soooo sweet! :D

Thanks for the compliments. I actually designed the site for us. Its something i do in my free time so it cost me a few hours of my time. I create random things to learn new tricks and doing this site for our wedding was one of them :) but i know some people charge a fortune for that kind of thing.

  5. If your still looking then you can fly Manchester to Chicago and then onto San Francisco. I always used a company called Trailfinders thats on Deansgate in the Manchester City Center.

I flew Manchester to Chicago for £360 with BMI but i think its either American Airlines or US Airways that will fly you into either Chicago or Philadephia then onto San Francisco all from Manchester Airport.

U can find trailfinders at: www.trailfinders.com and the Manchester office:

    MANCHESTER

    58 Deansgate

    Manchester

    M3 2FF

    Opening Hours:

    Monday - Friday: 9am-7pm

    Saturday: 9am-6pm

    Sunday: 10am-6pm

    Telephone:

    Worldwide Travel: 0161 839 6969

First and Business Class Travel: 0161 839 3434

    Visa & Passport Service: 0845 05 05 905 (Telesales only)

They have never failed me on price and ive flown quite a bit in the last 5 years to and from the USA. Some other advice i was given on here is to check prices from where ever you land to San Francisco on the USA side with expedia or something. I saved myself a few hundred bucks this way as i needed to get to Columbus.

  6. Hey yall. been chilling for the last few weeks and we are now prepairing everything for AOS. What im wanting to ask is has anyone here found a Civil Surgeon in the Columbus, Ohio area that will just do the I-693A rather than the complete I-693 ??

Ive just made a list of 16 USCIS Approved Civil Surgeons to call in the morning to ask this very question but if anyone could say if they found one or not it would be appreciated. Btw im in Pataskala.

    Thanks, Tom

  7. Hey yall,

Update on whats new for us.

I flew into the US on 16th Feb from manchester which was pretty cool. I got upgraded to business class with BMI so the flight was a good one. I got into Chicago and was the first in line for the POE who was a real nice guy. We laughed and joked while he processed everything which was annoying others cuing but he held them all up as he told me how he ended up doing the job hes doing. Once he had finished all the paperwork he shook my hand and wished me all the best and welcomed me to my new home in the USA which was pretty cool.

Then the fun begins lol. In Chicago that day United airlines cancelled almost all there flights so i got stranded in Chicago so Mandy had to drive and pick me up which sucked but there wasnt anything else we could do but i was just happy to be home.

We got married on the 25th Feb and had a pretty good day and have been pretty busy since. Since then we have signed a lease in Ohio and should be fully moved this weekend. On the 6th March we went and applied for my SS# which was easy and painless which took no longer than 5 mins. The day after we went back and they printed out my SS# for me and the card turned up in the mail 11th March. We now have a joint bank account which was also painless and only took 30 mins because the bank teller sorting it all out for us was just learning the job so was being trained how to change Mandys account over.

So basicly all thats left to do is start AOS and file for EAD so i can start working as ive been offered a job for when i get my employment authorization. I hope to be around more in the next week or two and again just want to say thanks to all that helped us in the past with the K1 process.

    Tom

Kiki where abouts in WV are u ??

  8. Hey all,

I just wanna say thanks for all the help ive got from this forum. Im all packed and going out for dinner with my family tonight before i catch my flight at 10:45 from Manchester tomorrow. Ill be gone for the next few weeks with getting married in 10 days having the honeymoon and then moving to Ohio so again i just wanna say thanks to everyone and we will see yall when we start to file for AOS, EAD, AP and SS#.

I wish everyone the best of luck that has an interview and those still waiting all the best and i hope your interview dates come through sometime soon.

    Tom

  9. Morning_75 no probs. Im flying out of Manchester at 10:30 with BMI and landing in Chicago just after 1pm but i wont have my X-Ray with me as im going to put it in with my luggage.

Patricia i will appreciate any information you can give us. Could you ask Andy not only what line he went to but how long it took them to process and let him through ?? I have an 8 hour wait between connection but those POE officials at Chicago arent my fav people so want to spend as little time with them as possible.

Rich_J thanks for the link its much appreciated.

    Thanks, Tom

  10. Hey yall,

Im flying into Chicago this coming Thursday and im wondering if anyone else has used Chicago as there POE ?? Ive not flown into Chicago for some years now but just wondering what to expect from the POE officer or with how Chicago deals with K1 visa holders.

Im flying into Chicago Ohare (ORD)

I know i will need to have both my passport and the brown envelope from the embassy but is there anything else ill need to have in my possesion ??

    Thanks, Tom

  11. Just to let yall know my visa turned up yesterday. I got a nock on the door at 7:05am and it was SMS with the packet that contained my passport with visa and the brown envelope. I wasnt all that impressed with the visa though as it looks the same as my B2 but it is kinda cool to have two visa's and 3 pictures of myself in my passport at different times over the last few years.

Ive only got another week before i fly home next Thursday and cant wait to leave. Thanks all for your help when ive been stressed about the little things i do appreciate it.

All the best to those who are just starting this process and to those of you either with interviews or awaiting a date.

    Tom

  12. Now we just have to wait for the passport to arrive, hopefully before Wednesday so we can actually come home together. Has it taken anyone longer than 3 days to receive it back???

I had my interview the day before you and im still yet to recieve mine so im hoping to get it in the next day or so :D. Im flying out on the 16th so i hope its here b4 then

  13. Hey Paul,

Wont be long now before you will be flying home. It does get easier as time goes on but the best way to think is this will be the last time your apart which is easier said than done but it does get easier. Me and Mandy will be at the embassy on Thursday morning and we have our interview scheduled for 11am and i see yours is 10.30am so maybe we will see you there.

Chin up and all the best for the interview.

    Tom

  14. Ive got a postal tube to transport the X-Ray and i cant get it to fit because the envelope the X-ray is contained within just wont roll without kinking. Is it ok for me to open the envelope and ditch it and then just roll the X-Ray and stick it inside the tube ??

Curious as to what yall did with your X-Ray's ??

    Thanks, Tom
