Howdy folks!

Just a quick question surrounding an Anglo - American application. As far as we know my details are being sent to London and they already have my medical results so everything is looking good on that front and we are trying to be positive for a December interview date. However I was wondering if I will receive electronic notification of my interview and a paper notification or one or the other. The reason I’m wondering is that I have moved out this month and feel that telling the powers that be will be extra hassle and slow things down. I do have mail redirection in place but I am wondering which mail box to be looking at my electronic one or my real one?

Any help or wisdom would be great!

I have been told by the NVC we have to provide a "bank letter" for the 864 and thats not the same as a statement does anyone know what that is?

This is what it said in a nut shell

I 864 checklist returned:

You have not attached the proof of ownership and value of each of the following assets:

[x] Savings/checking accounts [ ] Real Estate [ ] Stocks, bonds, certificates of deposit and other

assets.

Does this mean my wife who filled in the 864 has to show her savings account or I have to send her my bank statements which shows I have $X as she stated on the i 864. This could delay us by a couple of weeks as i'm waiting to get paid atm the moment.

Any thoughts or help on this would be great.

My second question was the checklist also send the DS230 my wife is waiting for that it the post from me because she was going to sign it and add our wedding certificate. Can she send the checklist items with the DS 230 package as a supreme mega package or should she make a copy of my ds for and send the two seperately.

This is the third time I have written these questions something funny keeps happening with my posts so I am going to copy this one so I'm not typing it a fouth time haha! The first ones were more detailed and charming I assure you haha!

Has your spouse sent DS-3032? And has NVC accepted it?

If yes, check your payment website (where you paid AOS fee) and check for the IV fee bill and pay.

We e-mailed the ds-3032 (is that so she is my secret agent?) We did pay a fee online around $400 we have a barcode to send in with 1-864 which she has done but now i'm staring at the 230 thinking what was I meant to do with that? Should they have posted me something or e-mailed her something different. The guide/flow chart says generate 230 im not sure what that means ?

So I'm just checking stuff and the posting of the i-864 seems fine over the pond but I am unsure with what I should be doing with DS-230. Will they have already have sent it to me to fill out or do I proactivley seek out the form and collect the bits it asks for and post it the to the NVC in the US?..... What does generated mean anyway hah.... Do I generate it or do they? I ordered an extra birth certificate this morning because I read you should have an extra copy ha oooo dear. Anyone who can clarify this for me. My wife is dealing with the task well at her end. I don't want to be letting my side down....

Having finally got a co sponsor my lady has just put the I-864’s in the post. Another stage out of my hands and into to the ether of post and chance! Ha wooop

Thanks very much for your help guys that is great information! I was reading the poverty level indicator and for a household of 2 it quotes $ 18, 387. My wife does not have any one in her household besides her. What would the figure be for no people in the house hold? It does no appear on the guidelines. I am just wondering that she could even though she does not earn loads she could sponsor me solely.

Can people who are not in my wife's family act as a co sponsor. Her parents are unemployed atm so her good friend was going to help us by being co sponsor to me. Will that ok ?

Any help or advice would be swell!

Living happily ever after is the only part that matters !! The rest are just details--you have it pretty much right except your wife isn't interviewed, nor does she have to get a medical. And your medical is not with your GP--you will be given a list of approved docs.

To clarify this in my head following my studies this is the process I have understood......

We have recieved receipt - My good lady in the states had this posted to her

I wait for up to 5/6 months to have the people at at the NVC post me and my wife some forms

These forms will show that my Wife and her mum will sponser me if need - I or her pay some fees when I post these back.

Time passess - weeks

They post me an interview date if everything looks swell

Time passes - weeks

I have a medical with my GP and collect bits our proof of bonafide marriage/ My wife also has an interview and a medical and does the same thing.

I and her are interviewed

I'm posted my passport with a VISA in.

I arrive in the USA ahve my passport stamped. Then greeted by my wife!

I get sent a SS number

I get a job

and we live happily ever after!?

Have I missed anything here?

Is this the basic process?

Hi !

Im going through the process of trying to move to the states to be with my wife who is an American and I am British. I was wondering if anyone could answer some basic questions. I have read alot but feel like being able to have someone answer my specific questions would be a real help.

We sent the I-130 Package off and my wife recieved a receipt in the USA.

Do I now wait for them to send me something? I have not given her an i-765 form or a i-485? Were they meant to be in the I-130 package. Do I even need them.Even with the guides I find this all baffling! I'm not sure what I am meant to be doing or what she is meant to be doing at this stage!

Any help would be great. I won't feel patronised if you spell out something that is obvious that I have not understood or missed, I promise :-)
