So I called USCIS agian today adn now they tell me my case is in AP. They have been telling me it was being reviewed at USCIS. Or is this just a play on words... I guess we will see..

I'm sad to report that we did not get the visa. My fiance had applied for a worker visa many years ago, and this apparently made him ineligible. I have been crying all night, I don't know what to do. I don't know if 'ineligible' means 'permanently.' Please pray for us.

I'm praying for your family as well. My husband is from Lebanon and I hate this waiting game. I will be visiting him in November and plan on being there the day he is interviewed. Keep your spirits up, think positive and remember all of the wonderful moments that lead you two to the point where you are now. God is great!! Please keep me posted on your fiance's interview. I just received a call from Denator John Kerry's Office.. THey are going to send a letter to USCIS in favor of my case adn asked them to reconsider the consulate's decision. I just faxed them my 3 page grievance letter with all the attachments.. I am hopeful....

I just read your interview and was horrified at the questions that were asked about you and your husband. Especially questions relating to your sex life. Unbelievable. I hope that Senator Kerry is able to bring you and your spouse some justice. The CO judged you and your husband without even looking at your evidence???

I saw your question about how the embassy contacts you for the interview. From what I understand, NVC schedules the interviews. My husband got a PO Box so that he can send and receive mail. I sent him a card and it only took 1 week. Sooo much easier. I know that the US Embassy in Lebanon is pretty quick with interviews so if you find yourself at the point in which your interview date has been set too far in advance, email the embassy and ask if they could change your interview date. ok so according to vj, my petition should be adjucated between the 12th and 21st of aug. However, it is the 19th of aug and friday night, and i have yet to receive anything in the mail. Also, when i put in my receipt number to check my status, it still says initial review. I am sooooooo ready to get past this first phase. It seems that the second phase is much shorter (after noa 2& actual interview). Any advice or insight on when i should receive the noa2?

I feel your sadness and I also feel the same way. I'm very fortunate to be able to speak with my husband almost every day. There is a 9 hour time difference, and we both work and sacrafice a lot of time and sleep just to be able to talk to eachother. I usually talk to him while i'm at work on yahoo and late at night on the phone. The weekends are the best time because we are able to see eachother using msn or yahoo. Every time I go and visit him, it becomes harder to say good bye. Thi...

I know how you feel. It's hard to have a long-distance relationship and even harder when your loved one is in another country. Evermore, we have to fight hard during all stages of the visa process just to be with our spouse...which is not the norm. Keep being positive...it will be all worth it in the end.
