EDIT: Lol! Blame the emotion, but I think posted on a different site. :bonk: Feel free to move it!!

Best of luck to you guys!

don't get too frustrated with the NVC if they are taking REALLY long!

I am a March filer myself...i just got approved

    been waiting a month!

next up! following up with the NVC if they dont get your case within 15 working days!

  2. yea seems like were in same page too, its been more than a month since we were approved of our petition and until now we are still waiting on our letter from NVC, hope it will come very soon.

Keep following up with them! you don't want your NOA2 to expire!

I have been also waiting for the petition to be at the NVC since June 18. We are on the same side of the page. I think it is too early to judge the day, we got the whole day until midnight to get good news. Don’t give up, since it was a weekend for the last couple of days, NVC was not working and I hope very soon they will get it in their system.

    Good luck

Which service center are you under?

I do hope we get some positive news soon!

since your husband is in deployment now why you didnt guys expedite your case?my husband is in military too and we will try to expedite our case..

We didn't know about that till AFTER the NOA2 was approved!

plus he won't be back till September.

  3. Can anybody relate?

I just got off the phone with the NVC and there is no sign yet of my case! This is really hard for me cause I the beneficiary... am doing pretty much all the work and "running around" for this because my partner is currently on deployment.

Trying to stay positive. Trying even harder to keep my cool.

Filed in March. Noa2 Approved in June. No sign of my case yet.

    Argh! Fustration!

  4. hi!

I was just trying to figure out all the facts. Here is our situation. I am an american citizen but im engaged to my girlfriend who is from sweden. We were wondering if its possible to fly over to america sometime in the fall, get married, go back to sweden, but then move back to america within 1 year(2012).

I'm a British Citizen living in the Philippines, I was told that it would be easier for my partner and I if we applied for the fiance visa. They say they deny some couples who haven't been married long silly reason, but i guess it's just another way of trying to single out the people who are in it just for the Green card.... So far it's been about 3 months and I'm almost done..

Just do a fair amount of reading on which visa you'd like to apply for.

Best of luck to you both!

  5. This is not accurate. When contacting the NVC, they will inform you that the petition can take up to 15 working days from the date of the NOA2. In addition, going through this process myself at the moment and having filed in February at the CSC, it took from the 27th May to the 13th June for NVC to receive my petition before then sending it onto the embassy. Therefore, the documents are not always with the embassy within 2 weeks from the date of NOA2. From various postings on this topic, there does appear to be a hold up of documents going from the CSC to the NVC.

Also (and I can only talk about the UK here), the NVC case number is necessary for booking medicals, etc., and the USCIS number is not accepted.

OP - you may want to check with your country's embassy as to which number they will be expecting you to use when contacting them re: medical and interview - the NVC number (which I think is the more normal one) or the USCIS number. I know it can be a trying time, but it does sound like your case is on its way.

    Thanks for this!

  6. We are in the same boat. I emailed NVC a scanned copy of NOA2 last Monday and today the NVC email me back telling me that they don't have any record of my petition sent from USCIS so that they are going to contact USCIS in behalf of me. I also called USCIS and they said I have to wait 90 days to contact them. It is very confusing. The NOA2 said I can contact in two weeks time but the USCIS don't want to talk to me about the issue. I hope things will settle very soon. The NVC service agent told me there is a back up due to the July 4th holiday so that it may take another 5 business days to finalize uploading the files in to their system.

God luck for all of us waiting on NVC

Thanks for that! you got waaaaay more info on all of this!

  7. Per our conversation yesterday I had No MNL#. So I called this morning the NVC. I did'nt have to wait long on the phone. As I stated yesterday, the operator asked if I was the Petitioner. (I'm still wary of them giving information to the beneficiary) She asked for the NOA2 Reciept #, my date of birth, her date of birth, addresses, her e-mail address and gave the information. The MNL # was issued July 6th. I never knew this... As a post indicated yesterday from a member, they will not even let you know. That is true I see.

The operator payed close attention to every answer I provided to be sure I was who I claimed to be. It appears CSC is taking 3 weeks or less for a MNL#. You may already have one issued. As the Petitioner in your case I don't know a trick to get the # without being sneaky about it.. There were posts yesterday that added. Have you tried those options?

I gave them a call, nothing yet. they asked for my NOA2 and that they would follow up.

NVC email address is : NVCINQUIRY@state.gov

Thanks in advance for your prompt response!

    thank you for this!

  8. According to your timeline, you got your NOA2 almost a month ago. I would say Manila has had it for some time. The NVC had our package 5 days after we got the approval e-mail and the consulate got it about 5 days after that.

We got our NVC letter approximately 1 month after the approval e-mail.

You can call the NVC and ask them what your case number is...you will need your NOA1 receipt number.

    (603) 334-0700

I called them, nothing yet. they asked me to e-mail them my NOA2. lets hope I get something soon!
