  1. Well, if you do not have the originals, then there is no need to keep worrying. The CO might not even look at or need the originals. As for the I-134 form, the signiture I heard needs to be original (right people?). If there is still time, try to get the original I-134 if you can. If you cannot, then please do not get worked up or get stressted. If the CO wants the original, he/she can tell you to go and get it and return with it.

Relax, think happy thoughts, and good luck.

  2. Thank you all for your support!!! I whent there to be with my love. They told us to go and pick up our visa/passport the day after next...but when we went that keep saying "sorry our printer is not working...we ran-out of ink! Come back tommorow." We have been going back there everyday since, and still the same story "Visa not printed yet, ran out of printer ink, printer not working, come back tomorrow". Did anyone else experience this? Really!?, ran-out of printer ink? Anyhow...thank you all again!

  3. Really? Ran-out of priter ink? So we were told after the interview to come back the day after next to pick-up the visa/passport. When we went there, we where told that the visa is there, but that they "ran-out of the ink that is needed to print the visa on the passport...come back tommorow". We have been going to the consulate everyday, 2 times since, and they keep saying "ran out of ink, the printer is not working, come back tomorrow". We talked to the local CO who conducted the interview, and he said, "well we issued the visa...there is nothing else to do..just go and pick it up".

Come on, really...no ink?, the printer is not working? Did anyone else experience this before? how long did you wait?

Thank you...and good luck to you all.

  4. Looks like you are in great shape! Just some final points...

-Just make sure your phone calls/chat logs/texts/pictures are samples that span the entire period of your relationship

-If you have pictures of both of you with famility members that would be great...but not necessary. Write the date, location, and the people on the back of each photo.

-If you have ORIGINALS of the boarding passes, receipts....take it with you. For the I-134 and supporting docs, all MUST be ORIGINALS.

Again, you look like you have good evidence. Good Luck!!!!

  5. Please do not confuse requirements for the I-129F PETITION with requirements of the K-1 VISA. They are 2 seperate things.

Being free to marry and having met in the past 2 years are MINIMUM requirements for approval of the I-129F PETITION...NOT the K-1 visa. There is a difference between approval of the I-129F petition (which you already have) and approval of the K-1 visa (which you are still applying to). Also the K-1 visa requires a seperate new application (the 4 DS forms 156, 156k, 157, 230 part1) and has seperate new requirements....all the local forms (BC, police certificate.....), financial requirements, medical exam, AND evidence of CONTINUED (again CONTINUED) relationship.

Having just met once in the past 2 years is not evidence of continued relationship. You will need to show that you two are continually talking/communicating with one another...phone calls, emails, chats, pictures, letters... This eveidence has to samples that span the entire period of your relationship until today. Yes, it is VERY "important". Now if the CO thinks that your relationship is strong, he/she might not even look at evidence of continued relationship...this happens often...but you should never rely on that. You should always be prepared to give him the evidence if CO asks for it.

Anxiety is normal...but relax. Just be yourself and answer all questions honestly and you will be fine.

    Good Luck.

  6. He was approved the other day, I left Morocco the next day, and he picked up the visa today! :)

Again congratulations! Did he actually pick up the visa today, as you stated. They say come after 3pm the day after next to pick up the visa/passport, but I heard they have been experiencing delays in printing approved visas.

    Good Luck.

  7. I need help with I -134,- we haven't received the NOA2 yet, but I want to be prepared. On the instruction form for the I-134, it states to include as supporting evidence: A statement from my bank showing when my account opened, amount deposited in the the last year, and present balance. Then a statement from my workplace showing I am employed full time, since such & such a date, etc. It then states ONLY IF I am self employed to include last years tax returns. Yet I have read many 'Journeys' on this web site where petitioners will send anywhere from 1 to 3 years tax returns and W-2 forms. Anyone shed any light on this? I do have my last five returns on my PC, to print if necessary. I guess it wouldn't hurt to send them, but is it required?

If you income is high enough, 125% above the poverty line, then all you need is the employer letter, recent pay stubs, and the Tax transcripts from the IRS for the past three years. It does not hurt to also include your account balance summary from your bank. Good Luck.

  8. 2. Q16 of I-129F form about native alphabet - does it mean that it needs my name and address in Chinese characters? If so, for Chinese name, we normally have the surname come first, followed by given name. This is opposite to westerner's which has given name come first, followed by surname. so, should i write my name in Chinese characters as usual, i.e with surname come first and then given name?

Write the chinese name in the native language as it is writen in the passport/ID card.

  9. Thank you for your responses  , at least you wasn't judging me  I have one last question for you if you don't mind. Can we get a DNA test from any laboratory, or it has to be where the USEM send us or is it mandatory in any CRBA since he(USC) is not here and can't be here? Another issue is my hubby-to-be can't be here to file these papers since he just started a new job (with USCIS I may say) so I don't know how we're gonna do this

I doubt that they would accept "any" lab. Most likely they deal or "trust" only certain labs...but I am not sure. Call the embassy and ask them directly.

  10. So so excited! I am in the airport and we are boarding but it feels awesome. Will post full review in a few days no I 184, no evidence looked at... Just wanted to say thanks for all the info and support!

Congratulations! You are right, they do not need the I-186, but they do look at the I-134. I hope you fiance/finacee gets his/her visa printed soon. They say come back in 2 days at 3pm to pick-up your visa, but lately I think they have been experiencing some mild delays in printing the approved visas.

Good luck, and have fun. Are you coming back to the U.S. from Morocco? I have been to Morocco many times, but the return trip to the US alone has always difficult and sad since I was leaving my loved one behind.

  11. I was outside in the cafe across the street - though this was about 6 years ago. He even went in with my passport - they asked how many times we'd been together and he handed them my passport and said 4 times and she's outside right now. We had a very unusual turn around and were given the visa the very next day. I don't know if it helped. I suppose if you're financially able to be there, I would go - won't hurt!

Thank you for your reply,...I will be going there. You guys convinced me. It will cost me well over a $1500 more than the usual airfare price that I pay to get to morocco, but she is worth it. Plus, I will be staying in a hotel (rather than her family's home were I usually stay, were I eat and sleep for free)...so that is another $1000 more! Not to mention the difficulty that my fellow co-workers have to go through trying to cover my shifts at work while I am away.....

Oh...the things we do for love! (L)

  12. now its approved and we got out case number from NVC and now its in Casablanca, so should i just wait till they sand me the package or email them :(

    please help

It takes about 1 to 2 weeks for them to send the packet 3/4 in the mail. If you do not hear from them in 2 weeks from the date they received the packet from the NVC, then I would call the embassy. As what does Casa wants in terms of forms, Squeeky here did a great job in summerizing what you need.

    http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Morocco&cty=Casablanca

As for the i-134 or i-186..i would just fill and send both. Give them the i-134 first, if they say no...then give them the more detailed i-186.

    Good Luck.

  13. I have a lot of respect to all of you new Muslims who will be experiencing their first Ramadan. Ramadan in the summer month will not be easy. The day will be long. I suggest trying to fast in "baby steps" during July. Off course, it will not be a "true fast", since you might not be fasting the whole day (in July), but as we all know God is the MOST gracious and most merciful...and your intention is pure. This way, when Ramadan comes in August, you will be ready for the long fast.

Welcome sisters! (P.S. I am a dude).

  14. Well it COULD be if you're from a high-fraud country where a lot of visa fraud including people lying about who they REALLY are. But personally mine is "Vanessa -" that's it. Seriously there is no last name written. My sister has me in her contacts as my maiden name so emails to her list under my maiden name. I would wonder why you don't have a "legit" email and were email your significant other from the "fake" one... I doubt it would normally be an issue but high fraud countries are assessed harder than the other countries.

    Thanks Venessa,

When I first opened my email, ages ago, It asked for my full name. Being a public email, I used abreviations of my name. When I started taking to my fiancee, I tried removing the abreviations, and listing my complete name, but the email system did not let me. So now I am stuck with abreviations of my name. This sucks...Oh well, what can we do.

    Thank again for your input.

  15. Are you referring to the email address, i.e. msLovable@yahoo.com or Ms Lovable - msLovable@yahoo.com? I don't think they look at the addresses that seriously. My husband email had nothing to do with his name and it couldn't be used to identify him. I think it's the content of the email that matters and that the emails are consistently from the same email addresses.

    Good luck on your journey!

Thanks for all your replys. My email lists the name then the email address in the "To" "From" section. So for example if the name is Mark Spencer...the email lists it as "From: Marc Spinser - Ms201@msn.com" something along these lines. So notice how the spelling of the name in the email is slightly different from the actual name? Will this be a problem?

    Thanks

  16. i went and waited outside on the day of the his interview and when they asked if she had ever been to morocco and how many times...he said "yes,15 times....16 if you count this trip, she waiting for me outside" and the interviewer said "ohhhh!". we were approved but i dont know if it made a difference but to be there together on this SUPER IMPORTANT DAY MEANT ALOT TO THE BOTH OF US!!

Thanks Robi! I will also try to be there. I wish you all the best, your deatailed interview review have been very helpful to all of us here waiting our interview turn. Great advice.

All the best to you and basstof....

  17. Dear VJers,

So some people do not like to give their real names when opening an annonymous Email account, so they use nick names or a slightly different spelling of their names. My question is, if the spelling of the name on the email (that is next to the "From" and "To" above the email massege) is slightly different from the spelling of the actual name...will this be an issue? Is the spelling of the name on the Email considered a "different name" and is it really an "another name" of an "alias"? Do you write that name on the application under "other names/alias"? I mean is this even really considered an official another name or alias?

Anyone here had the same issue? Was it a problem?

    Thanks.

  18. Dear MENA members,

So now I am getting a little anxious. We do not have much in the form of letters or e-mail...just many phone call logs, massenger call logs, photos from 2 visits in the past year, and few WU money tranfer reciepts (all related to our application expences).

Given that we do not have much letters/e-mails, will it help if I travel to be with her on the day of our interview? I know Casa does not allow us to be with our fiance/fiancee during the interview, but will it even help to be waiting outside in the street during the interview to provide emotional support? Will it make any difference?

It will not be easy to ask for a few days off from my work on such a short notice, but if this will help, then I am willing to give it a try.

    What do you think?

    Thanks.

  19. Dear fellow VJers,

I tried to fill the DS-156 form on-line, but it is not very "user friendly". It would not allow me to write annotation or comments like I could do filling the form on the PDF the old fashon way.

    1) Is filling the DS-156 form the old fashon way still an option?

    2) If so, what are the disadvantages to filling the form by hand, as opposed to filling it on line with the printed barcode?

    3) Anyone here tried to submit the DS-156 after filling it by hand and was given a hard time by the CO?

    Thank You.

  20. Dear fellow VJers,

At the embassy interview, do you give the CO copies or originals of the Boarding Passes, Reciepts, ect...

I worry if I were to give them the original Boarding Passes and Receipts, and for some reason the visa is not approved, then they might keep the originals with them and I am left with no original Boarding Passes and Receipts that I might need for a second round at the finace visa process.

    Thanks
