  1. I just finished talking to my husband and he said that they asked him basic questions about what do I do and my family and so on. He also said that the person who interview him just took his passport and gave him the slip for the missing items and did not tell him whether or not he was approved or denied. Also, our case was originally CR1 but since we've been married for 3 years, he was given the slip that read IR1 at the top of the paper. So, am I to consider this to be an approval as long as I send further proof of an ongoing relationship and a joint sponsor? I'm gathering all of this to send to him by the end of this week.

  2. Well, my husband had his interview an hour ago. They kept his passport and told him that he needed to send more phone logs, pictures and chats. He also needed from me a co-sponsor which I am going to send all of that today. So, inshallah, I hope it's a good sign that they kept his passport. At first, I didn't make enough money just coming out of college when I sent the co-sponsor. Then I asked if I could send the I-864ez without a co-sponsor. The NVC operator replied that I could, but apparently, I guess I still need a co-sponsor even though I make more than the required income. So, I'll be printing everything out and sending it today. Thank God that the interview is over with. Thank you all for your blessings.

  3. I find it very difficult to believe that the wait time for Cairo is now 7 months! Our interview should have been this month. I wonder did they not get interviews for those who stopped at a certain point in April. I also find it difficult to believe that since the NVC was off Monday that they were finished scheduling interviews for November on Wednesday. I still have hope that we will get an interview for November. I really doubt that the wait time is 7 months now, but I may be wrong.

  4. I am really hoping that they are lying to me also. I am hoping they are telling me this to make me stop calling. You're right, I have not seen anyone scheduled for November yet. I called this morning and they told me to call back Friday. So, maybe I am calling too much. They didn't really give me a long script as they usually do. It was just a, "We stopped scheduling and your case is in line for scheduling, but unfortunately, it was not scheduled for November". There was no calling back the second week of next month.

  5. I called a few minutes ago and they said that they finished scheduling for November and unfortunately, my husband's case was not scheduled for November. Has anyone called to confirmed that? Our case completed on May 24th of this year. It's been six months. Could it be possible that perhaps our case could be scheduled for November but has not shown up on the computers yet?

  6. You're absolutely correct, Lena. It is quite frustrating. Well, my case completed May 24th and I was thinking perhaps they would have an interview date by this time. I called the NVC last week and an operator said it may be possible that I may receive an interview in September but no guarantee. I'm not too much depending on that answer. For the past week, it's been the same thing. I guess it would be less frustrating if someone would receive an interview date and everyone could know where we stand.

  7. Hi, I am very new to this forum. My husband's case currently completed at the NVC May 24, 2011. We are currently waiting for an interview. When I first called, the operator informed me that they only schedule interviews every second week in the month and told me to call back June 15th. I called them back and they said unfortunately they could not schedule an interview for July due to the limited slots and asked me to call back July 15th. Currently, it's been four weeks since the case completed. When I call the AVR, it says to wait until 8 weeks. I was wondering, is there a possibility that our case could be scheduled for August? I know there was a backlog since the situation that happened in Egypt. What happens if we're not contacted before 8 weeks?
