  1. I believe you are a petitioner?

The package only requests police clearance certificate of your Thai Spouse. You don't have to submit yours. My USC husband lived in Thailand for 2 years and he hasn't been requested to show any criminal record.

Your Spouse can request the certificate at the Royal Thai Police in Bangkok and it is free of charge. In normal case it takes 2 weeks, can be longer if there are something in her record.

Is your case a DCF one?

  2. ExpatDave, the petitioner and the beneficiary do not need police reports from the US. The beneficiary only needs it from foreign countries they lived in for more then 6 months. The US government does their own background checks in the US if the person ever lived here. Hope that helps. Good luck.

Only one thing I would like to add. The beneficiary only needs it from foreign countries they lived in for 12 months or more.

  3. They usually update the interview appointment in the website once a month at the end of the month.

But you'll know it by e-mail before they put information in the web. Example my case, interview will be on 12 Sep but i've been informed since 15 July. I won't see my interview in the web until end of August.

  4. I tried to email the royal thai police, but the email was invalid. I tried to search it, but does anyone know the new email? It's not pcscenter@royalthaipolice.go.th

That's the only e-mail they gave in the website. Maybe you have to call instead 02-205-2168.

  5. Nonchalante, in your letter you received on July 15th it might say what window you need to go to. Wow looking at your timeline they are about 8 weeks out for scheduling interviews.

I'm in shock right now. Look what I see in the letter..

Upon arrival at the Embassy, the applicant MUST present this e-mail to the receptionist and proceed to Window number 5

Still wish I won't get the same lady  I have heard they are not the same people in the same window all the time (or maybe there are ?!?)

By the way, thanks Andy and Pui , I didn't notice it show in the letter.

  6. I received an e-mail today, the interview date is 12 September! It took 11 weeks since they got my package, so long.

But one strange thing the name of the applicant in the e-mail is mine but the case number is not, just sent e-mail to IV unit to verify the information, wish I could get the sooner interview appointment.

Wish you don't have to wait for too long Wiscoman.

IV unit has confirmed the interview date on 12 September, other case number was just a mistake.

Wish everyone luck (also myself :))

  7. Oh, okay ka. I will definitely do what you suggested if not hear from them by Wednesday. Finger crossed for nothing serious (but also deeply hope they will let us pick the date like yours ka :content:).

Thanks again for coming back to give more advice na ka, they are really helpful :thumbs:

  8. The wait you are all experiancing is common especially for this time of year. BKK deals with about 700 cases per month. In the summer they have many student visas for example. I have seen 200 students lined up out side the embassy at times. Immigration based visas are only done on Monday & Wednesday which causes the delay through out the year.

Thanks for more information ka Pii Ning :) Now I just hope they didn't mix up my appointment with someone else ka, still a little bit worried about the wrong case number.

  9. 8-10 weeks huh? We sent in Packet 3 one week ago. I was hoping it we would get something fairly soon about an interview but I guess not.
