My wife and I met while studying in graduate school here in the US. We were in the same program, as well as, neighbors, and after becoming really good friends, we felt that there was something more. We dated for a year before we graduated in May 2010 and before she had to move back to Taipei, Taiwan due to employment, visa requirements, and a family emergency. While dating long distance for 1.5 years, she was able to visit me once in the US and I was able to visit her twice in Tawian, with the last visit (December 2012) being when I proposed. Six months after I proposed, she was finally able to come to the US in June 2012 on a K-1 Visa and now I am happily married to the love of my life.
