So, USCIS administratively closed our petition on Mar 11, 2013. No misrepresentation or ban disclosed by the Embassy CO. We're free to file again "without prejudice". Hooray for small favors! Will most likely marry and file a CR1. The story continues...

It took 8 months for Mumbai to send our petition back to USCIS (ridic!) and now it's been @ USCIS for 4 months! How long must this torture be endured? Praying for reaffirmation

Congrats! My fiance's name is Sumit also I just wanted to say that I agree with you 100% about VFS. They're TERRIBLE and so misinformed about the whole process! Did you not frontload all of that documentation in your original petition? These are all things that we submitted first. I'm surprised you didn't receive an RFE prior to the interview if all of this stuff is missing ?? 221g processing can take weeks, months or years. There is no specific time frame. Submit your proof and all should be ok

Denied. They grilled him for 8 hours and over 100 questions asked! It was awful!

I'm going to be with him too. He submitted to VFS & that's been a nightmare! They called him to come back 2 times with wrong info and he still has to make a 3rd trip tomorrow! I swear they don't know what they're doing! And as you may or may not know - it's not easy getting around Mumbai to keep making all those trips! Thank God he's staying there a...
