      Well, that's a little difficult to see him often as he's a Merchant Marine and is out to sea for 9 months at a time. I've been to India to see him 7 times in the past 4 1/2 years however, so let's hope that counts for something! I will DEFINITELY be attending the interview in Delhi when the time comes! Thanks for the reassurance!!

      Yes finally!! Thanks Sherry, we're so excited that we were able to get it done and registered - all in New Delhi. We'll be filing the CR1 very soon. How are things with you and Yashpal? Is he adjusting to life in the US?

    So, USCIS administratively closed our petition on Mar 11, 2013. No misrepresentation or ban disclosed by the Embassy CO. We're free to file again "without prejudice". Hooray for small favors! Will most likely marry and file a CR1. The story continues...

    It took 8 months for Mumbai to send our petition back to USCIS (ridic!) and now it's been @ USCIS for 4 months! How long must this torture be endured? Praying for reaffirmation

      Amanda... service request placed. Told me absolutely nothing. "your case is pending and we'll let you know" basically was the answer. 5 months now and still waiting :(

      Sorry to hear. We had our K1 interview at Mumbai exactly 1 year ago tomorrow (Jan 5, 2012) and we were denied citing the same - they think we are already married - we're not! We're awaiting USCIS decision now. Best of luck to you both!

    Aargh! Visa received, but the medical records packet looked like it was about to fall apart... taken back to VFS for re-sealing, more hassles!!!

      Thanks for the Consular update! We're going through Mumbai very soon so it was extremely helpful! Although I wish I hadn't had mehendi applied for my engagement ceremony now! But it was my first experience and I was excited to have such beautiful artwork applied! LOL Best wishes for a beautiful life together and congrats! It can only get better from here :o)
