  1. If you haven't gotten it, you won't be getting it. Again, do not worry about this. As long as you got confirmation from an operator that your case is complete, then you're fine. The case complete email isn't needed. It's just a nice email telling you your case is complete, but if you already got confirmation then you're fine.

I guess my concern is getting some sort of letter or email for my wife to get the medical exam needed for the interview...Thanks, Long.

  2. And yes, you'll get the interview letter by email if you gave the email addresses to an operator at the beginning of your NVC journey. But it'd be better if you called a NVC operator every single day. The emails are usually received a few hours after the interview has been scheduled. For example, in my case, I called on a Friday afternoon and discovered my interview date. But I only got the email around 6am Saturday morning.

Is that email letter acceptable to go get the medical exam?? Or do you have to get the real hard copy in the mail?? Not sure if this is country specific or not...

    Thanks, Long.

  3. Grats on the case complete! You should start calling immediately for an interview date. That's what I did! Got a case complete one day, started calling about the interview the next day. You can also start calling DOS now and asking the same question as NVC. Good luck!

Awesome, so is calling DOS the only way I can find out if the consulate recieves the case?? Or is there another way to check?? Thanks, Long.

  4. they scheduled the a few days after i got there since all the paperwork was in before i arrived...but then you have to come sign papers after the interview which they set a date a month later, when I was suppose to be there for 3 weeks!!

  5. I know you have to submit some forms when your there and they will schedule for an interview...becareful, they will try to hassle you...when I went to turn in some paperwork, they told me to go back and put on some pants (I had shorts on) to turn in the papers, lol

  6. My wife have 4 words in her full name. A = first, B C = middle, and D = last.

NOA 2 name is correct, but NVC first name is B not A

And, now her Driver Licence name is A, but SS# is B.

We decided not to do anything, till she becoming an USC.

If you decide to correct her name. Make sure you combine both her middle name with a -. Thi-Hoai

    Good luck.

Thanks for the input...I have the same problem but was told by a friend not to worrk about it since the paperwork from USCIS is fine...

  7. Packet 3 is for Fiance visa, you dont need to send anything to the consulate, NVC will forward all your documents to the consulate.

ohhh, I guess I missed that, so as soon as we are done with NVC we should be expecting an interview date then??

I thought I kept reading others having to send in Packet 3 to the consulate or whatever, and then they can get Packet 4

    Thanks, Long.

  8. After all this researching and such, I'm still confused on the process. Can someone please clarify this for me...

Does the DS-230 go to the Consulate or the NVC?? It is listed in the Packet 3 from the Consulate, but also listed on the NVC flow chart...

    Thanks, Long.
