    OMG! Just called the Consulate in Nigeria to follow up on my fiance's interview date as my case was transferred over a week ago. Goodness gracious, looks like they need customer service training. It will be on point to let you know that the CSR was non-American. I simply asked if I could check on the status of my case or get transferred to the IV section. Her response?"NO NO NO NO NO, send an email, and wait 5 days."Bleep! the phone was off. Oh Lord, I need a date

    Got my case number from NVC, LGS ***************, got information that it has been transferred to the US Consulate in Nigeria, waiting for a response for packet 3, or Interview date. Learning to take an HOUR at a time!!

    FINALLY!!!! Thank God! Phew!! Finally got news that NVC has my approved petition now. Yipeee.......that was some long wait!! Thanks everyone.

    Arrrgh!!! Been calling the NVC for the past one week and all I hear is "I don't have that receipt number coming up on my system". Aaargh!!! I was hoping that I would have at least received information that my case has been logged into their system. It's been 2wks now since NOA2. I need some info, encouragement, or just someone to scream along with me!!! Aaargggghhhhhhhh!!!!

    I am trying to be proactive. While I am waiting for the NVC to get back to me, I will keep my mind occupied. So I have decided to start working on the documents I need to send to my fiance in preparation for the interview. I would appreciate if I can get a list of documents to start putting together. Also, has anyone sent packages by DHL or Express mail to Nigeria before? How effective was this and what was the cost. Ideas anyone?

      wow, that's a lot. But, was there any extra drama involved when the parcel arrived in Nigeria? were you able to track it? Also, if you don't mind, what were some of the things you had to send?

      I sent mine DHL, no hassle, and it's expensive and he received it I think less than a week (I can't really remember). I asked about FedEx and the guy told me it was like $10 more and it would have taken an extra day. I sent a lot of documents; everything he needs for his interview and any additional evidence (phone records, pics, IM, emails).

      That's encouraging Joyjoy, thank you much. I might check for quotes/rates online. I'm guessing i will go with DHL but I'll do some comparisons first. How about documents to send. Any ideas?

    Waiting to hear from the NVC. We received our NOA2 in the mail on May 21. It was approved on the 17th. How long do i have to wait?

      Thanks people. I appreciate your comments. I guess from all these what it means is that I have to be patient. However, I intend to follow up with phone calls at least once a week. (I might as well try).
