  1. My NOA1 date is 3/11/11 and I still haven't heard about my NOA2 yet either.

I hope each week that the good news will arrive

I even called a tier 2 rep and was told that it was still under review :( Oh well I tried.

The average from NOA1 to NOA2 is still 5 months I believe, so if your at just over 3 months there's nothing to worry about yet :)

Ours took just over 4 months i think, so yours could be anyday!

  2. please chime in and tell us are you still wating for NOA2 from csc office and how long we have to wait i have mine done on march 2 and i am getting nervous becuase it is taking to long to be approved and lot people are getting approved in just 70 to 80 day in csc office and with their I -130 so what is going on with us what wrong we did when applying give us some tips to speed up the process

It is all different, depending on USCIS/NVC/embassy caseload. Often the summer months are busier, so things take longer

  3. Congrats :)

Did you call or email them?

Email... I first e-mailed about 2 weeks ago. Didn't get a reply, when they said I would. Spent money calling 3 times, then got an email reply saying they couldnt assign date because they didnt have my case. I replied saying that it shows my case is AT embassy lol, and then 4 days later from last email they sent me this one informing me of new date.

So it took about 2 to get the new date lol

  4. Susan&Daniel Maybe your interview date is so early because you applied with a I-130 not a K1?

Congrats Dizzylox! What did you ask them for them to move the date forward? Were they nice about it?

Also the embassy have my packet 3 and medical, how long is it supposed to be before they give me an interview date?

I believe susan & daniel also had an expedited case, hence the early interview date :)

I had my medical in london june 6th, case complete june 10th, and interview scheduled for july 29th, with no expedition. So my interview was basically 6 weeks from CC :(

  5. OMG that's so cheap! I paid almost £900 for my ticket (flying out July 23rd) and the extra taxes for a "lap child". INSANE!

Yeah its a single. Couldn't find a return for less than 660 so made more sense to get a single :) I did treat myself thought and spent an extra £49 quid on premium economy, which is more room... FREE spirits/wines etc, slightly better food and personal tv's :D Also its closer to front of plane, im in row 12 i think, so i can DASH off the plane and get first in line at immigration hopefully lol !!

I always book with STA travel. I was hoping to travel august 15th but singles then were 425, so figured whats an extra 10 days wait to save me some extra money :)

  6. Just been reading through this form and Im confused.

We are doing a CR1 VISA but i was told that form DS-2001 is no longer used? I asked the lady at NVC about it and she said no we dont use it anymore? But it seems some of you who sent it, and were on close to exact timescale as me, who used it got earlier interviews? Could this just be coincidence or because I didnt send it?

    lol

  7. Awesome info britishspouse! It also lead me to this nifty PDF: http://travel.state.gov/pdf/pk3_supplements/MTL-PK3-ENGL-0002-1009.pdf which is specifically for Montreal - I'll do some more reading and see if I can figure it all out =P

    hehe cool :)

Yeah there are so many PDF's and links lol. Plus its different for every country so I didnt want to give you bad info, but i try to be helpful :)

This part can get very time consuming and hectic even if you do research (our house was paperwork crazy lol) :P

hope it all makes sense :) Have you had your choice of agent form yet?

  8. Hello Experts:

i Just wanted to ask, how long i have to wait after my case completed at NVC. i call them today and the operater told me that my case has been compeleted on June 17th of this year and waiting for interview call due to high volume interviews in Islamabad. Can Someone please Help me. Thank You

It truly varies from embassy to embassy.

For example in london I had case complete june 10th and interview booked of july 29th. Some countries can have wait times of upto one year, so it all varies. You should hear something soon though.

  9. thats pretty much what i already know... my question is where are all these extra documents required? when do i give them the police records, how? you say ds-230 "packet"... all i see online for the ds-230 is about 3 or 4 pages of stuff to fill out and sign... is it like the I-130 where you send additional stuff in with it, for example? if so why dont any of these "nvc fast track" guides tell you what's needed to send in with these packets? lol

Not sure what you mean by 'where' ... You will be sent an email to pay a fee. After you have paid it it will give you instructions of what to send, and tell you what to send. Then you get another bill, requesting the rest of the documents :)

Are you going through the montreal embassy? If so here is the link telling you about your medical http://travel.state.gov/pdf/medical/MTL-MED-ENGL-0005-1103.pdf

Here is a basic flowchart which explains what and when http://www.visajourney.com/examples/NVC_Process_Flowchart_v1-2.pdf

and yep montreal is one of the countries using teh DS-260 http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_5164.html Here is the basic NVC site where you can find out more. http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/nvc/nvc_1335.html Click the steps required and enter your embassy and it should give you the info you need :)

  10. I believe you only fill in the ds-260 IF instructed to do so, its for those who did electronic processing i think?

first you pay the AOS fee .... and then shall be instructed to submit your I-864 documents (I-864 form/forms, and pay stubs, tax documents)

Then you pay the IV fee .... and submit the DS-230 packet...this contains the police report (be sure to photocopy it, you'll need to take a copy to the medical) passport bio page, birth cert, marriage cert and passport photos

You can book your medical anytime from now, check to see where the approved facility is.

After that providing you have no RFE's you will have case complete

  11. I've never understood why so many people suggest the DCF route to petitioners who don't already live abroad. It's as silly as an unmarried petitioner asking whether it will be faster to bring their fiance, they've already met within two years as a fiance or spouse. It's as if these folks are incapable of factoring in the time to move and stay or plan another trip for marriage. Think it through, folks.

Looks like they are also stopping the DCF route in some countries link here makes sense I think. Just have it all done one way :)

  12. Hi everyone,

I am trying to get organized for the next stage of paperwork.

I know I need DS-230 for myself and my son, police certificate for myself. The OH needs to send the I-864 and 3 years tax returns or W2 and a few recent pay check stubs.

Is there anything else that needs to be sent?

What fees need to be paid?

My OH is the petitioner, myself and my son are the beneficiary's. It is the CR1 and CR2.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just an FYI. You dont NEED 3 years tax info, one is sufficient, there is a little box you tick if you are submitting 3 years, its optional :)

We opted to only submit the most recent years, because I thought.... less documents, less possible questions they could ask so perhaps less chnace for an RFE if something didn't add up :)In the end we had no issues and it was accepted quickly :) We did send in last 6 months pay stubs too :)

  13. From http://travel.state..../info_3201.html :

"Verify that you are claiming only your own employment to meet the affidavit of support requirements."

So, because you need a sponsor, you don't qualify for the I-864EZ. You're going to have to file an I-864 instead.

Yep just to add another reply, you cant file teh I-864EZ :( We were able to, as needed no joint sponsor, if you have a joint you will need I-864 and additional of I-864a if its household member :)

  14. if Indonesia participates in the '2nd week of the month appointment scheduling' then I'm afraid you've missed it.

See, it's 'case complete' then 'final review' then the casefile is put into the scheduling queue.

IF it made it into the queue prior to the 2nd week in June, you'd be IN the queue for scheduling.

Suggest yer USCitizen husband call NVC back, ask when the final review was completed, ask about the appointment scheduling queue.

I had case complete the same day, and my interview was booked for july 29th at UK embassy.

Have you tried tracking your package from US to your local embassy? Mine reached london on the 13th.

  15. Okay so here is the general idea of my frustrations;

We are getting a CR1 visa, And I wanted to see if there was any way my interview date could be moved a week earlier, cant hurt to try right? So I called the expensive number, the guy gave me a code, and told me to e-mail LondonIV@state.gov which I did within the allotted time. Waited 4 days... no reply, no automated reply. After hearing other people who have e-mailed they always get n automated reply.

So I called the number again and told the guy this, and he told me Not to expect an automated reply, and to wait 2 more days then call back if I heard nothing. Well no reply... so I recently called back again. The guy I spoke with this time said that he didn't know what had happened, there was no way he could check the status of my email.

Its just really annoying. Im OK with keeping the date if i have to, but i just wanted to check for an earlier one as FIL Is due for surgery. Yet all this money spent on calls is stupid, if nobody is even going to answer my emails or give me an idea of why I haven't got a reply.

I had heard about another email address with consulate in? So asked the guy if I should try that one, to which he told me no, yet ive heard other people e-mailing it. So thats confusing.

Anyway. I dont normally complain but its just annoying. I want to talk to someone just to hear a yes/no but have already probably spent close to 15 pounds on calls, and have achieved nothing :(
