As for the proof of the citizenship the passport will work.
On I-485 i have chosen (H) and put the note " I-130 attached".
I had a similar case as yours - overstayed, so far no problem, as you can see from my signature my I-485 got approved.

A friend of mine had a similar situation ( asylum case pending, marriage, termination of the asylum case). I am not aware of if they had an I-130 interview, but I-485 interview was a stroke interview even though they have been married for over 2 years. I don't think you should be worried anyways - it is called a stroke interview and seem like a scary thing, but after a read the questions being asked ( posted by some lawyer, i believe) i found them pretty simple to answer( only the in laws' birthdays were confusing ).

I got great news today!. We passed the interview and got approved!
So, here is my story. I won't be describing how we passed the security and so on. The interview was scheduled on 2 pm. We checked in at 2.05pm and was called by the officer immediately. By "we" i mean me, my husband and our 2 kids ( 5 and 7 years old). Fist we gave our ID's, then he verified names, dates of birth, address. Asked to provide the marriage certificate, birth certificates for the kids, naturalization paper for my husband ( this is my big screw up - instead of it i got the paper with the beautiful seal from our marriage ceremony). He also verified when we were married, if we live together and if we own our house together ( of course we do). Asked for some wedding pictures ( even though we had a very formal, very small wedding with only 4 guests and i gave him only one picture from it, he looked satisfied), also, i gave him probably a dozen pictures from the hospital when the kids were born , from our vocation and other events. He didn't ask any questions about them . The he asked for a few minutes to process my card! He didn't even say a word "APPROVED". He only mentioned that we could have filed for a visa for me earlier even though my husband wasn't a citizen by that time and our case was very easy.
But here is the other side of the story. Even though we've been together for over 8 years, married for 7 years, have 2 kids together, own a house, cars and so on together i overstayed by almost 9 years ( J1 visa), i lost my I-94 and didn't file for a replacement and we didn't use any legal help ( this forum was really great) i still got approved. So good luck everyone, i will update when i receive an actual card ( promised within 10 days).

Just got another notification that my i-485 "was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office." So I guess an interview might be back on?
I heave a good feeling you won't have an interview at all!

Got a great update today – EAD card finally arrived. I am extremely happy! Hang on there dear May filers, we are getting to the destination point.

Got notice for interview for Monday Aug 15th
no other info given. Where do they usually have these, at the same place as the biometrics?
Mine is for the copmpletely different location. The adress is on the left lower corner of the hardcopy of the notice.

Congrats to everyone who got approved!
I have a question about the interview environment. Is there any way we can bring our kids to the building( 6 and 7 years old)?

wisensmart75, sorry to hear that your case has been traveling back and forth, hang on there.
Batya, i don't think you need a lawyer, you have enough evidence. Me and my husband don't have our utilities on both names but i am not worried since we are married for almost 8 years and have 2 kids.
Dtudtu, it happened to my case as well, first notification stated card production on July 5, then on July 8, then the blue dot went back to approval notice on the 12th. Checked my mail today, still no AED card.

SORRY everyone! My computer is acting up and I was getting all of my msgs mixed up. i get it now Dulcinea..makes sense. Good luck everyone
Oops, it looks like i got everyone confused. Today i've received an interview letter ( appointment for the interview). I've looked at so many timelines, it looks like the interview letter arrives 1,5-2,5 months after the filing date. If there is an interview, the GC is received in about 3,5-4 month after the filing date. Just the statistics.
Can't wait to get my EAD. No so worried about GC.

How did you do a walk-in without your biometric appt letter? And I agree, I dont think early walk-in expedites your process. I did a walk-in May 24th and still have not heard a peep back.
I mean an early walk in with the appointment letter of course.

35 days since the Biometrics was done and no EAD and no interview letter......
Did you do the walk in? I think even if get your BIO done earlier than scheduled USCIS still processes everything according to their own schedule.
I had my BIO done on June 29 and received my appointment letter today, on July12.

It took them 3 weeks to cash my checks. But guess what, all the rest is going on nicely in a timely manner.
-
I finally got an update – checked the status online, it says "On July 5, 2011, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you." Well, i hope to get the card by Monday.
The I-485 case still cannot be traced online. I can't even register it for email/text message updates since they tell me it's a none existent case number. Oh, well. I think i'll just wait.

I called them today and DID talk to CS rep.

Most likely nobody is moving in to you apartment for at least 2 weeks. Talk to your rental office, they might let you keep the mail box key for that period. If you don't get anything till other tenants move in you may talk to them, they will notify you when the mail arrives. Any time we moved to a new apartment we kept the mail for at least 2 months just in case previous tenants would show up for it. I think we are not alone.

Call USCIS 1 800 375 5283. They have an option for address change on the phone. Or just do it online https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=coa.Terms . These are the fastest ways. If you don't have a case number the A number should work. Otherwise talk to the CS rep.

I don't see anything unnatural in the process you are going through. As long as he entered the country legally he should be fine. As many others bring as much proof of your married life as possible. Most likely they wont't even look at most of it but be on a safe side. This time you were not denied, no additional docs were requested. Everything looks pretty good.

It never hurts to get the transcript of your vaccines. Shop around. You should get it done for about $20. I do believe i've seen a post with the doctors that don't charge arm and leg for that.

I just got the letter from USCIS today saying my case was transfered to CSC!
Good thing to hear! Hopefully you'll be approved without an interview.
I am still having a problem with checking the status online. Tried to call USCIS hoping that they will finally put the info, but i was told that i have my NOAs, BIO appointment letter, that means that the case is processed and that's all i need. Suckers! I would love to find out what going on before i receive anything in a mail box. Too bad i forgot to include the form for text messages with the package.

I am scheduled to take my biometrics on the 15th of june, pls i want to know what is next after that. i filed for AOS I-485 and EAD
Oh, and there is another thing i've noticed. Even if you do the early walk in, you should get your EAD in 60-70 days. So is the letter for the interview.

AS other people put in their timelines you should get your EAD in 1-2 weeks and shortly after that or at the same time letter for the interview (I485).

I head a positive TB reaction because i had a TB vaccine when i was a child. The CS sent me for chest X-ray and the problem was solved. The other story is when X-ray shows the illness.

I have been married for 8 years and my US spouse has not claimed me at all
due to NO SS#. I wanted to know if this would be a problem when applying
for AOS. We have 2 kids and he has been filing as Head of Household.
Thank you for your help.
If you have other things to prove that you've been living together all this time it might be not such a big issue. You have 2 kids together and this is a very strong proof that you are a real couple. Just explain on the interview why weren't you a dependent on the tax return. Send them as much evidence that you have joint accounts ect and you should be fine. What about the couples that get married and send the AOS package the very next day? Immigrant spouses don't even have SSN at that time. I am not a lawyer but i think you will be fine.
Interview Outcome
in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas

I lost my I-94 as well, but since i had my passport stamped by US customs i had a proof of legal entrance to the US. Since you don't have a passport, i'd suggest filling out form I-102
