Congrats to all of you who got VISA APPROVAL ...If any of you who had their interview already can tell me if you had to take your affidativ of support with you,even though you filled it with NVC? OR was anyone asked for it at the interview ?

no my husband had it but they didn't ask for it. Its one of those things you bring with you just case it gets lost from your case file. Better to be safe than sorry.

Submitted my request to expedite today, and hoping for the best... for those that have requested expedite through Jamaica any idea when I can expect to hear something back?

So I emailed my request with my evidence on the 16th of December. On the 18 a Friday nvc said they sent my request to the embassy and then on the 21st a Monday the embassy emailed me saying they accepted the request. So give them a couple of days and don't forget this is a long weekend as Monday is a holiday so a little longer wait. Good luck.

My husband is approved!! Thank God!!

Interview was schedule for 9:00 am Husband arrived at 7:30. He waited about 2 hours but interview took like 5 mins.

Questions ask:

How did you meet?

How many people attend wedding?

Where reception was kept?

How many time did your wife visit you?

Who is the person in the picture? My sister

Wife ever been married before?

Do you know how the relationship ended?
What does your wife do for work?

Where do you work?
You grew up in the Bahamas?

Are you registered for DHL?
Awesome, pick up passport 1-2 weeks

My husband said interview was very easy and straightforward.

Good morning vjers, As we know Jamaica moving very slow with interviews her case was completed on december 18th, last Wednesday I requested a expedite interview for my stepdaughter it was approved Friday.... now it says in transit. ... I called nvc and they said I of the contact the embassy to get the interview date... do they have a number to call Kingston embassy or can someone give me the email and or number. .. thanks

KingstonIVAppointmen@state.gov embassy will tell you to wait till case file has arrived at least wait until the status says "ready"

Congrads!! Good job doing the expedited request. I did the same. When the status is updated to ready it means it has arrived at the embassy mine took one day to get there and within 5 days the embassy should contact you about interview date. Well since I'm filing for my husband They called my husband and sent an email. They also emailed me being that I'm the agent. So you should get a date soon.

My interview is in a week. Feeling a little nervous. Just had to get that out. From all the reviews I've read it sounds like a fairly painless process, but I can't help but get caught up in how this feels like such a huge thing because it means I will finally get to be with my husband forever. After months of stress and waiting, I'm so happy to be so close to the finish line, but it doesn't stop the nerves.

It's been six days since my CC, I confirmed it through the phone with NVC.

But I didnt get an e-mail regarding my CC or my interview schedule.Is it ok if I dont get a CC email confirmation ?

And if is not how long does it take to actually recieve that e-mail?

I received mine in 7 days and some say they never recieved one

Hello guys! I finally made it to my interview today in LAGOS.

Well, I just want to go straight to my interview with this male VO.

So, my number flashed on window 1 after standing for about 2hrs. Excluding 3hrs waiting initially.

VO…. Good afternoon and how are you today?

Me…I’m fine, thank you (smiled back)

VO…Took my finger print and asked to swear oath to say nothing but the truth.

Me …I made a magazine like photo album just for this purpose so I quickly brought it out of my well organized transparent folder and ready for VO

Me…No but we did the traditional rite, so I paid but no official ceremony because we wanted to host a big church wedding.

VO… Gave me my original Marriage, birth cert and brought out two sheet. Here’s where you pick your passport in 10 day and you will need to pay additional fee for your greencard. Congrats!

At this stage you need to look at the timelines of people whose interview will be in the same country as you. that way you can have an idea of how long your wait may be for an interview. After 30 days of Administrative Processing, today our status changed to ISSUED on CEAC!!! I'm so relieved and cannot wait to hold my wife again when she gets here. Goodluck everyone!

Hello everyone. My interview is schedule for feb. I have a question. I send all the original documents at nvc before. Now they said that original documents should be bring at interview. I have nothing now. What should i do. Please help

You guys are gonna have to get more original documents because you don't want to take a chance to go without them. It would cause more delay if they ask you at interview for a document and you don't have it.

Yes dear. I have not personally experience this but everyone that has says the interview officer always says wait one to two weeks. In truth if you are in kingston it maybe just a week you can pick it up from dhl if it has to be delivered elsewhere it maybe a little more than a week. That's why they say one to two weeks.

Those friends who got intrview schedule,is there any change in your ceac sammary pages ?

My cc date is 17Nov. I have not get intervew date yet and checking my case shows "At NVC"

It will say "at nvc" until nvc sends your case to your country's embassy which they will not do until you are scheduled for an interview. When it is on the way to the embassy it will say "In Transit". And then change to "Ready" when it is at the embassy. So hang tight it will not change because it is indeed still at nvc.

Wow. Good new!!!!! Just got off the phone with NVC. Interview scheduled for February 4th @7am. USEM Lagos

I hope you enjoyed the break and was able to enjoy some time with the family.

My wife made it safely this past Friday and I am very happy. She didn't have much of a delay when entering. It seem the CBP officer was in a good mood and even made a joke saying that the reason for her coming to live with her husband was the wrong answer lol.
