Congrats on interview coocoo. We are on same timeline you and I, so hopefully i'll hear soon.
Its a real long ladder but you've just gained another step.
Good luck
-
Minneapolis two days early was asked to come back. As I handed them the letter I also mentioned my actual appointment wasn't for a couple of days but I was in the area. They said no as one of the computers was down.
Returned for actual appointment which was routine.
Good luck

I just learnt the above point the hard way.
My London interview was on the 17th February. It's now Sunday the 26th Feb and still no sign of it on the DX Secure courier site.
Fingers crossed I'll receive word of it's release by the embassy tomorrow.
Good luck.

I paid by phone on the DOS line. I called every few days until I was told the embassy had updated my case with an interview date.
It has been about one month between them receiving packet 3 and interview. Neither of us received an email about the interview date.
I appreciate the speedy answers, thanks

Hi
Can someone tell me exactly what was contained within their current packet 4. As I browse through VJ to research items, I often find the example of forms or contents are from 2006.
I am unable to collect my packet 4 letter until the day before my interview as I'm in the US. I have prepared all the necessary paperwork as I believe is required.
Thanks in advance

Hi Alyssa
Good luck to you guys on the interview.
I have my interview just a few days behind you. Did you receive just the standard packet 4? did it ask for anything special/different than you expected?
I am in the US at the moment, returning to UK for my interview so will only collect the packet 4 letter last minute. I have assembled all that is required as far as im concerned. I just dont want to collect my packet 4 letter on the way to the interview, only to discover that they need my certificate of having swam one width of the pool when I was 4.
Thanks!

They've had our packet 3 for two weeks now and still nothing. I check every couple of days to hear of interview date.
Good luck

Hopefully, the light at the end of the is getting brighter each day now.
We too are expecting to hear about interview soon, also at London. It's difficult to get an idea of just when the interview might be though. Fingers crossed for you both.
Good luck

Congratulations!
We were approved today too. only 173 days of hell.
Speedy progress from here.

Great post Rostov.
Looks like you have thought a lot about things. Sounds like your partner is going to be well catered for on her arrival.
You mention she is giving up a lot, but she is also gaining a lot and is most definately not alone.
Have a great time!

113 days..... still nothing! hopefully the biggest part of the wait is behind. and not ahead, of us.
The graph on Igor's list shows a cliff dive between the May and the June filers. They must have told their staff to ignore June filers and concentrate their attention elsewhere for the moment. Am sure they will brush off the dust from our petitions any day now.
Keep those timelines updated!

You'll clear immigration at JFK. JFK is your POE.
The flight down to Orlando is not relevant as it is an internal flight.
Congratulations that you are at this end of the procedure.
Good luck!

Congrats! things are now moving for you.

I agree that CSC has slowed down. Historically they seem to run ahead of the national average. What a time to slow down!
We're all strugglin here!
-
You may be down at the moment but you are not out.
If they want further evidence above that which already seems overwelming, then just give it to them. It's their ball so let them dictate the game we play, however frustrating.
One thing you wrote which must resonate with us all, "Its like someone has our lives in their hands" This is something which sits uncomfortable with me about the whole procedure. I just tell myself that their task is to root out sham applicants, those who petition for financial gain only. Them being nasty and rude to your partner achieves nothing however.
You have not been denied! the speed with which you collected and responded to their querie convinces me that you will succeed.

Hi Jedgrl and welcome.
Yep it's good to know we are all in the same boat here. This epic produre is trying to sink us but we staying afloat so far!
Its frustrating to see our forecast NOA2 date having been and gone.
Keep paddling everyone
-
Thanks Phil, yours is a more logical answer.
Joonphon, I'm also trying to stop checking so regularly. I've got packet 3 just about ready to go so just twitching for nod.
-
Perhaps im misunderstanding this but CSC shows it is upto July now for i-129f for K1?!
Mine hasn't been touched since 14th June. I suppose it's possible that USCIS has not updated my account.
Any June 2011 filers had a recent "touch"?

Yep, the NOA2 column is finally beginning to fill with June filers in Igor's list.
We too have no forecast NOA2 in our timeline, not enough people updating their status apparently.
NOA1 received on 6th June so hoping we hear soon. My baby daughter in the US thinks her dad is a two dimentional creature which lives on a computer screen!
NOA2 for June filers has started at least!
Good luck
-
Thats great news, congratulations.
Its a major landmark in this difficult process, take time out to celebrate your achievement.

Awesome!

Congratulations

Best of luck to you guys and thanks to VJ.com

Thanks TracyTN and chrisandliz,
aorobert, I'm sure you are aware that a small percentage of individuals in any culture are a little less educated, closed minded and generally ignorant than the rest. So you heard "pikey's" say negative things against the Scots or A Scot? you say you heard it from them "many" times? so you obviously decided to remain in their company it seems. Why?
You then go on to say "English Gentlemen" find the Scottish accent "unkind to their ears"?! I simply don't believe that. Those descriptions sound like words used by someone from a culture other than the UK trying to make statements they believe people from the UK would make. It is fiction.
If you believe you can get an idea about a people labelled "pikey's" from a movie then i promise you'll waste your time.
The reason your Scottish partner is gets on so well in the US is unsurprising, it is simply that, like in England, she is accepted.
I genuinely wish you both the very best

Utter nonsense!
Your partner is despised as she was a Scot in England?! I think you have been given a slanted version of the truth.
The only offence that a Scot might take in England is that they feel they are accepted simply as being "regional" the worst they will hear is that they might be called "jock" when in a group of people. Now, let us reverse the situation, an English person in Scotland might experience real abuse as they are perceived as the bad people who did bad things to the Scots (the English policy in Scotland was primative and brutal) Popular culture likes to enforce a "them and us" philosophy between the Scots and the English (the movie Braveheart being an example) Today, the English born person walking through Glasgow is about as responsible for primative English brutality as they are for killing the dinosaurs.
History shows that the Scots were good at fighting themselves, the various clans fought brutal wars for generations (just like other early civilisations) the one thing that the clans mostly agreed on was their despising of the English. A Scot telling of being despised in England is an example of someone reaffirming modern stereotypical popular culture rather than studying history.
I dont personally feel a need to defend the English, only a desire to bash them with facts a little closer to the truth.
Good luck with the visa journey.
