Why ?
in Philippines
lol, ur probably stranger for marrying her if u state that her after dinner snack is strange
y dont u talk 2 her about how it grosses/stranges u out that she's eating leftover breakfast food as a after dinner snack
& y's french toast+maple syrup strange???
if it was like french toast + salad & potatoes on it then some maple syrup and/or ranch, french, thousand island, italian dressing on top
now that'd just mean she's 1 hell of a eater
either way...she's either still hungry or she's the kinda person that don't like to waste food...a lot of unfortunate ppl in this world that'd kill for a cold piece of bread & some maple syrup on top

i called arnd my area & dang the civil surgeons charging $100+ just to do the i-693, tried to tell them all my fiance don't need a physical, since I have her ds-3025 & it's not a year yet, but those dang money grubbing doctors all said, they won't sign the darn i-693 w/o doing the physical, wat a place i live in
-
seeing how uncle sam is putting more control on the net, OP shouldn't be going arnd stating some stuff, =D
but yeah, plz do it legally
-
the marriage license doesn't mean you're married, just means you both are legal to be married, and for AOS, you have to already be married and a marriage certificate is the proof that you're already married legally
most likely you'll get a RFE, & ur AOS process might just be prolonged a bit, but w/e ur SO is in the USA already
but to be on the safe side, my advice is that you should just go to the court clerk & pay the $40 or w/e for them to marry you legally
then do your big ceremonial wedding in front of your family & friends
-
ty for answers,
i guess she'll just needa pop out her passport a lil longer until she gets her green card then, inconvenient, but w/e
-
I haven't started AOS packet yet for my SO, but already have the SSN & married, etc...
Went to go get a CA ID card from dmv (so my wife doesn't needa take her foreign passport everywhere), but I got a letter saying that
the department of homeland security - bureau of immigrations and customs enforcement is unable to validate the documentation presented with your application.
When she applied at dmv, dmv made copies of her passport and the arrival stub in her passport.
I dont know what else to submit
or is it that she can't get a CA ID card until she does her AOS and get a green card???

Your telling me!!!! We got a RFE because they wanted photos that had date stamps on them. We had no real primary evidence because we live only 8 hours apart and my fiance drives here every month. They told us nothing about photo's needing dates on them, nor did they explain primary evidence or secondary evidence. We only found this site this month and thank god we did. This site has been awesome. What I don't get is why on earth did my attorney not recognize that we had no real primary evidence and tell us right away before they sent it out that we needed to provide photo's with dates on them.Wwe had lots of photo's from each month and gas receipts from his travels and toll booth receipts. They also cost us 6 weeks of waiting till they finally submitted our I-129F to the USCIS because they would only speak to us via email only. I have been thinking about firing him and taking over from this point on. So upset that they are not acting very professional. Not to mention that they won't talk to us about the next steps in the visa process until we get a approval. So basically they are leaving us in the dark, but the laugh is on them. Cause my fiance and I have been learning so much from this site and all the research we have been doing.
My fiance is a hard worker and works 2 full time jobs now in canada and he is a quality engineer and hopefully won't have a problem finding work when he gets here and is allowed to work.
Thanks
that sux, the lawyer shoulda known better when u submitted photos to him w/o dates on them (i annotated on the back & used stickies on my photos to tell who, what, where & when the photos were taken)
ur a may csc filer & alrdy got ur rfe, so ur noa2 could be anyday now (the rfe shoulda been ur noa2)
so hope & pray & also make a lotta phone calls to ppl u know & c if they will be willing to co-sponsor u, b/c ur noa2 might be around the corner & after that the whole process just goes by way 2 fast
gl

wow, I hope u didn't pay for that attorney to do ur k-1 (& if u did, bad lawyer alrdy cuz ur timeline shows u had a rfe)? & if he/she is telling you that kinda bs...I would ask for my money back
reality as it is, if u can't find a cosponsor that makes enough to cover 5+ household ($32k/year), chances of the visa getting approved at the interview is very low & no way n a million years would some random person at the consulate come outta the blue & co-sponsor ur fiance
since u haven't gotten ur noa2 yet, u may have sometime on ur hands to finding someone that is willing to cosponsor you when the time comes
& hopefully ur fiance has some skills/degrees/assets & is rdy to start work, cuz ur unemployed & will b adding another mouth to feed
-
1st of all, I'd think twice (maybe more) about signing as cosponsor to some1 else's forms, but if it is to my 1 & only that'll be with me for the rest of my life, WHY THEY HECK wouldn't I sign it...
so what if OP's stated "look at the divorce rate" is high, who gives a dam, OP just became another statistic, I'll try my best & know that my 1 & only will try her best through thick & thin to compromise & make things work, cuz that's wat marriage is, it's a contract for life, unless u become another statistic added to the divorce rate
it is a trap i'm willing to walk right into
-
don't know about the consulate in england, but some/most consulates will make you give birth to the kid in your country b4 they issue u a visa
& if u try to enter the usa pregnant under the VWP, u mite also be denied at poe if your belly shows 2 much or they know ur pregnant

i'm debating if i should send it 2 her or not, >.<
don't want it to get lost or her to lose it (she's kinda of airhead at times), maybe i'll just keep it & bring it w/ me when i go 2 b w/ her at interview if they ask to c original
i made like 10 copies to send her in case she needs to hand copies to medical/interview/etc
-
do i have to send the original noa2 to the beneficiary for the interview stage?
or interview stage only requires back/front copy of noa2?
-
i did my whole packet & made 2 extra copies everything put together by myself in like a weekend
very simple, no rfe's & got my noa2 n less then 3months or so
only problem was i put in a $350 check 1st go & got my whole packet sent back then i had to resend it back in w/ the right amount $340, they could've just kept the change & saved me 2 weeks of torture
u dont need a lawyer unless u got some legal complications in ur closet
-
finally the w8 is over, good luck to ever1 else =D
-
i-94 is the arrival/departure form...if i remember correctly, u just put in ur name, flight, date, & some other simple customs information, etc...not 2 hard
nowadays, the airline (flight attendants) usually hand it out to every1 30min or so b4 ur gonna land (international flights) at poe or if not they should have it availible as soon as u get off
-
so he "might" deploy, you should ask him if they have gotten their orders (in black and white) or if it's just a rumor floating around their wing
if it's not in black and white yet, you should just go over and quickly marry and start aos, etc...& wait for him to return should he get orders/deploy after u marry/aos
yea it mite suck being n a new place w/o ur love 1, but either that or u wait out ur visa's lifetime of 6months, & he says a 4 month deployment, but usually even n the airforce, most deployments take 6months + some other bs pre-deployment training & post deployment reintegration, etc...
& it's not like u'll b homeless while he's deployed, u'll probably get on post housing or he should already have a place offpost set up...
& i'm sure the he can always reason w/ his superiors to frontload his paperwork, etc...since i always hear that the airforce takes care of their folks
-
nice samples =D
i guess i'll jot them down to drill the SO on sometimes
-
tests dont lie, humans do though
u needa stop being defensive of ur fiance and come outta the sugarcoated fairytale u put urself n
str8 out ask him like many have said, 4 the most part he's str8 out lying to u already
-
May filer & feeling left behind as csc seems to be moving on to june filers & still no noa2 yet for me, dang almost a month since my touch, hopefully anyday now or I won't be able to tell finace "maybe this week" or "maybe tomorrow", feels like i'm lying to her everytime i say it, QQ
called uscis, and the only bs they can give me is that i needa w8 for the 5month mark b4 I can do anything, sigh
-
if you're gonna commit a crime (no matter the goodness of the intent), WHY'RE YOU TELLING EVERYONE ABOUT IT!!!
it's never okay to forge signatures, especially in the usa, but w/e it's your bzness, you shoulda just gone and done it w/o letting the whole world know (not saying you should do it, but w/e)
-
even if a miracle was to happen and uscis approves your application, i highly doubt it'll go through at the interview stage with the CO
& as much as we all like to deny it, after an event almost 10 years ago the powers in the USA has greatly shifted to DHS, and having not met your fiance (especially from a nation that is 99% muslim) would just raise a very very big red flag to DHS no matter how much you look at it...I'm not saying anything, but just from observation of the past decade and the creation of DHS and how much power it has, just go meet your fiance instead of putting any hurdles into your process
-
uscis touched me for almost a month now and still nothing, QQ...hopefully the touch meant some1 picked up my packet and started the background checks, etc...
-
1) no, ur age wont be used against u; however, u really really really sure this is mister right for u...(ur only 18 there mite be bigger/better fishes in the sea ya know, but w/e) =D
2) denmark is a 1st world country, so i dont think they would really look too much into if there is fraud going on or not (just the mere proof of having met would probably be enough evidence for them); however, you sure it's not just raging teenage hormones???
3) uscis probably doesn't look too much into how long/when you were engaged (as above stated since ur both from 1st world countries), and they really don't really ask anything about proof of a engagement other than u each both signing a letter that you're legal and willing to marry each other when he/she comes over to the usa on his/her k-1 visa
you already said "you" make above the poverty line (you must've worked ur butt off in senior yr instead of studying applyin to colleges), so i doubt the co would really care to look too much into denying your case (since as above ur fiance is from a well off country)...but again, plz think about what you're about to do...even i'm a lil jittery at my mid 20s bout to be getting married soon...
-
i think so, because i used to know this one indian chick that came on a fiance visa then afterward divorced her spouse because he had some mental stuff going about that the family (those rich indian doctor family) kinda hid (was like a arrange marriage sorta thing) from her
i'd assume her spouse's parents co-sponsored so that their son can be/get married to someone
What's better? Joint title or full transfer???

I am the US Citizen and my SO's ROC is coming up in half a year or so (still a good while, but just wondering), and before that time, we'll have a car paid off (it was solely financed in my name). And so when I get the title It'll have only me on it...We have another car (also only me on it), so I was thinking that once I pay off this car, I'll just do a full transfer to her name (yes I trust her that much). Would the title being joint or fully in her name, effect her ROC much?
We do have a child together, I'm military (so she's in all my military family stuff), she's under my car insurance, joint bank, etc...So I'm not really worried that much, was just curious if a joint title or full transfer (I do wanna shower her with all my love...although it's very materialistic)
thank you
