Congrats!!! Awesome news!

You have to find the way to get your birth certificate, and you also will need police certificate from the UK and India...

Awesome! Congratulations!

A simple letter saying that you were a student, that you had no income, and therefore were not required to file...very simple sentence is all that is required. You do not need to send any proof.
I actually got the same problem. Should I leave the 25th question empty or just put 0?

I'm sure it will be fine and you'll look back on writing this and smile at how it's all over
Is your process complete or you still waiting?
best regards

Hi All,
Im brand new here and am not sure what I am doing but I do know I need help and advice. My boyfriend/fiance of two years was deported out of Port Canavral, Fla after we got off a cruise ship. Im a U.S. citizen he is an Italian Citizen...he was here on a B1/B2 visa. He would return home every 6 months and come back here and was living with me and my children. We were a family. He was deported and now is in Italy. I am filling out the paperwork for the K-1 visa and also we have the I-212 filled out for his deportation. The latter is supposed to go to Port Canavral and the other to the Vt processing place. Which one do I send first? Can I send them at the same time? Do I tell the Vt St. Albans, processing place about his deportation and do I tell the deportation people of the pending K-1 visa app???
PULEEEZ someone guide me. I spoke to an immigration attorney and he didn't even know which you file first or even if they should go to the same place instead of the I212 going to Port Canavral. We lived here in Ct. This process is overwhelming and we just finally got the $$ together since Sept 30 to go forward and now I feel stuck and afraid to send something at the wrong time or place. Is there any kind of help line someone can call when filling out this paperwork..where they can speak to someone from USCIS? I went to an office and they didn't know ANYTHING about anything!
Any and All help would be so appreciated.
Monique
Dear Monique,
I am exactly in the same position right now...the same thing happened to me I really dont know what to do now?? Did you apply for K1 and the waiver?? My lawyer said we should get married so I can apply for I-130 and the waiver?? They saying it would be better if we would do that but I am really lost and dont know what to do .
Please advice!! I am so lost:(

Hello,
This is my first time in this forum, and for that matter first time in any forum. I hope not to make any mistakes.
Now, boy do i need some help.
I was coming back with my fiancee from the trip in Mexico. She is USC, and I (Polish Citizen) was on M-1(vocational school international student) status. On the border they proved that i broke the rules of my stay and worked illegally while in the US. I was deported, and they send me off to England where I am now. At this point i talked to two lawyers, and they made little sense, except when talking about fees <img src="http://www.visajourney.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> that i understood.
the first one said:
file the application for the K-1 (I-129F) and then sent the receipt with the I-212 Waiver (since i am banned from entering to the US for the next 5 years, sorry forgot to mention this little detail:)
the second one said:
file the K-1(I-129F) or marry and then it will be K-3 then wait until you get requested to the embassy, where they will deny your visa, then file I-212 and when that's approved, your visa will be waiting for you in the embassy. if not then you gotta wait for five years for the ban to be lifted and then apply for I-130 or something like that.
Please if anyone can drop some clues as to how this process usually takes place, where to file those forms USCIS or embassy, and when(or rather what is the order of filling them?), also what are the fees for immigration lawyers in US.
I feel i made couple mistakes, and I rather not continue with the same trend.
Thanks to all, I think this is a great site, especially since those immigration laws are just crazy complicated.
Cheers.
Paul
ps. sorry i might be repetitive with the previous forums, but was hoping for a fresh look from someone who knows a bit about all this.
The same thing happened to me! Just that I had B1/B2 visa. And I was traveling back and forth... The rest was exactly the same as yours??
What did you do?? Did you get married?? Did you apply for K-1?? What waivers did you have to write?? 212 or 601 or both!!?? Please kindly advice

<!--quoteo(post=3416960:date=Oct 19 2009, 09:54 PM:name=emt103c)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (emt103c @ Oct 19 2009, 09:54 PM) <a href="index.php?act=findpost&pid=3416960"><{POST_SNAPBACK}></a></div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Actually, the 212 is completely different than the 601 and is not really that hard to get. The standard is MUCH lower than an I-601.
Go to immigrate2us.net. There is a section dedicated to the I-212, check out the adjudication process. Your two attorneys each had *part* of the story right. All of the following information depends on there not being a Misrepresentation charge. Please contact one of the recommended attorneys to get good legal information and see if the think you will have a problem with Misrep.
If you get married and then file, you will file the I-130 and then use the receipt to file the I-212 at the local office over the area of deportation.
If you decide to file as fiances, you will file the I-129f, be denied at the interview and then submit the waiver at the consulate.
When filed alone (ie without the 601) a 212 is handled VERY differently than filed with the 601.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
What do you mean by very differently, my lawyer mentioned that i do need 212 but might later find out that 601 i will need too.
I am actually on the same boat...So lost.My lawyer says I should get married and apply for I-130 and then waiver?? What did u do? did ou get married?or K-1 visa was enough?? Please advise??
And the wait begins!
