  1. I'm preparing to send my fiance all the I-134 information, ongoing proof of relationship, fiance letter, the kitchen sink and NOA2. I have read on the guide stating for the K1 a copy of NOA2 should be sent to the fiance. My fiance is insisting he needs to submit orginals of everything. This question goes out to anyone who has gone through the Jamaican embassy, Do they require the original or a copy will suffice? My concern is the fee for a duplicate NOA2 if this one is lost. I know we will need it for the AOS.

    Thank you.

    Copy is good.

  2. It will say "hold" until DHL receives the visa. Once they receive the visa, they will update the website with tracking info. Mine went into AP for a few days; it seems like that is part of the normal process.

Ok thanks hun. I just hope it doesn't take forever.

  3. If I were you I would be calling the dos. The ceac website is NOT accurate at all. It has my fiancé visa update issued twice...once on feb 27th and again yesterday, but when I call they are still saying its in AP. So I wouldnt go by the website at all. I hope they are faster with yours then they have been with ours. They have had his papers for 3 weeks now and nothing. Good Luck

The ceac definitely isnt accurate. I was checking it earlier in January to see if they received my package 3 and it wasnt accurate. And funny thing DOS wasnt accuarate either. DOS was giving the same info as CEAC.

  4. Not to start worrying just yet. i just want to know how do I track my fiance's visa? When i check the DHL website it says on hold and has been since March 1st which was the day after his interview. Now, I'm hoping he he doesn't fall into the AP which seems to be a new trend I see. How do i track it? He called DHS and they told him call back on Friday, when they told him to call back Wednesday before.

  5. Omg, I'm so happy and proud to say that my fiance was approved literally 10 minutes ago for his K1 Visa. After two years fighting for our relationship, getting denied our k1 visa in december 2011, and trying to get through with this immigration process we are finally approved!!! His original interview date was on Feb 21st, but we winded up having to reschedule and we were lucky enough to get a new interview day for 1week later which was today.. I will give more info when we speak later, but he briefly told me that he was only asked four questions. They didn't even look at any of our paperworks. How we met, where we went when we met,how often I visited, and how often we speak to each other? He said the IO even interupted him while telling him detail for detail how often we speak to each other. The IO interupted by syaing alright alright your approved! LOL. I know the journey isn't over, but at least my fiance will be here by the time our daughter is born in March (hopefully)!! Thanks VJ members who were supportive.

  6. So my interview is in the next few days. Just doing a checklist. I provided a letter with our story of how we met and our first K1 being denied. Proof of first petition, proof of pregnancy, proof of visits, pictures, copies of digicel top ups, and phonecards that I brought within the past two years. Of course my fiance will have the police record, certificate of non impendiment, medical, and call records. I'm sooo nervous. We were super confident the first time around so it's so hard to be confident the second time around. Hopefully, this time we'll have enough to prove that our relationship is bonafide. Is this sufficient?

  7. I had gotten an interview for.tomorrow from last week which was too sudden. Then I rescheduled n got one for three weeks later. Email Kingstonivappointment@state.gov.

  8. So glad that you are getting some where finally. It is almost your time

Stay positive and STRONG My Gal, you can do it...

Thanks sweetie :). I called DOS and was told that as of today packet 3 was mailed to him. When I already.emailed it to them n it was confirmed to.have been received. Also, when I look at the NIV case status it says its ready for interview since the 15th. Really confused.

  9. Hello all,

I emailed my DS230 and got a respond stating that an interview letter will be sent to my fiance when a date is available. When we did our last petition we were given an interview date immediately after emailing the DS230. Ive requested an expedite interview and been emailing the embassy and of course no response and its been over 5 business days. When I check our.case.status online it says ready.for interview. Whats the new procedure for interviews? My next step is to contact DHS.

  10. So my K1 was approved for expedite on October 29th. Since then NVC still haven't received my petition. After calling basically every single person I can think of, I finds out that USCIS lost my petition and being that I made them aware that NVC has no record of my case, USCIS had to get my case from the NVR and now they claim to have sent my petition electronically to the NVC. So they "claim" that the NVC will receive my case by tomorrow. Really dont see the purpose of getting approved for an expedite in the first place. My fiance more than likely would have been here by now. First the USCIS claim to have sent my case on November 16th, then they say said it was still at the USCIS on December 12th because an officer didn't complete my case or screwed up. And then they say the case was lost. I have no faith in the USCIS whatsoever so now I just don't know what to think and how to feel. All I know is I can go to a retail store and spend $10 and get way better customer service than I can for the hundreds of dollars wasted with the USCIS. Every single time you call the customer service line u hear a different story. This includes the Tier2 operators. Some of them are complete morons and give you wrong information as well. I understand that they are swamped with petitions, but that doesn't mean that we should accept the poor quality of service.
