  3. Even i felt the same initially...but the Consulate / Embassy has its own pattern in scheduling...Even Peru takes a lot of time after Case Complete to Interview Stage... :reading:

    Good Luck

Yes You are absolutely right. It depends on consulate. In my case, when when I was planning for interview and took my leave from office at the year end and in that time US embassy called me and rescheduled it for next month with my sister . Then you know what is my condition. So I am just sharing the experience those who have similar issues.
  4. Really, I still can't believe you because I can't find logic behind this. Now I have one more aunt with july endind PD, According to you our (my mom, two aunt & uncle's family) interview will be reschedule to june-2015, when my second aunt's PD become current. I don't think so.

If you don't find any logic then I have nothing to say. This the logic set by the US embassy. However I just share my experience which I actually faced. :)

  5. Sorry ikabirul, but that's not true, at least here in India.

6th June-2002 is PD of my uncle, my aunt & my mom. My mom's interview is scheduled on 2nd april, my uncle's interview is scheduled on 15th april & my aunt's interview is scheduled on 28th of april.

    Dear Jigar

Plz wait for that. US embassy will call you one week before your interview date and either reschedule it or advice to join the interview on later date along with your other aunt's interview date. I think In your case all interview will be scheduled on 02 April as all of you are within the same priority cut off dates. Plz complete the for all applicants before 02 April.

  6. Your and your sister's PD had only 12 days gap .. what If my uncle had PD dates 2-3 months apart ?

Lets say one uncle has 2nd July and another has 4th September?

Do you think they would still take interview together based on 4th Sep priority date? <_<

Yes still they have to wait till their PD become current. My PD got current in nov where as my sister pd got current in dec 14 so I had to give interview on her scheduled date.

If it is two months then you have to wait.

  7. I have a question if one of the family wants to delay their process for two three months and so they don't fill up as fast as other families. So due to that other family will also suffer. As petiotner is same. As my petiotner has filed my family's file as well as other three families. So if one family wants to delay will that affect other families? And yes all 4 families have 3 Aug 2002 as priority date and same petiotner

Yes it will delay your visa issuing process as petitioner is same for all of your principle applicant.

  8. My question is why should the "Uncles" wait for other...Why can't they complete their own interviews?...

They can celebrate "together" after their Visa is Approved.. :)

    Good Luck

    :)

    Good Luck

Because it is their procedure to check the family bondings and as well as to check the relationship. You can check the US embassy web pages for more information. They don't take interview on different dates if petitioner is same for all applicatant. My PD was 02 Feb and my sister PD was 15 Feb 02. My interview date was 25 Nov 14 and later US embassy rescheduled it with my sister which was 23 Dec 14.

  9. Opppsss... There is one more uncle .. they r 3 .. and 3rd uncle's priority date is Aug 12.

So looks like other 2 uncles have to wait for the third uncle(whose PD is 12th Aug)... haha

So practically the priority date is 12th August and I should expect interviews depending on that date and keep an eye on VB..

    Right?

Yes you are absolutely right :)

  10. Thanks for reply.

So, u mean my uncle with PD date 10th July 2002 has to Wait 1 more month because of my other uncle whose PD is August 6th ?

Will embassy give them same interview date? or different date and my uncles have to schedule the interview date on same day on their own?

    Thanks

Yes your uncle have to wait one month more. Initially your uncle's interview date will be different but embassy will reschedule your interview date before your scheduled interview date.

  11. Hi All,

One of my Uncle's PD is 10th July 2002 and another uncle's PD is 6th August 2002 ...

Which month they can expect to have the interview on?

    Thanks

Plz note that 6 Aug 2002 will be the ultimate PD for your uncles as US Consulate prefer to take interview all family applicants on a single day for same petitioner.

I had also faced similar situation and deferred my interview date on later date with my sister. So think the later PD for your uncle. :)

  12. The Problem in your profile is you brought two way ticket... :P

    ........Just Joking.. :)

After your POE, the status keeps changing...nothing to worry..

    Good Luck

:) ha ha I know that is the reason ;)

I paid my GC fee using my credit card that's why it is shown accepted.

Moreover I also paid my sister GC fee from US checking account that is show optimized.

May be payments method differentiate the processing status.

Thanks a lot for your help.

  13. My interview was on March 2, 2015. In the end of interview Counselor Officer said..... "Your visa is Approved u will get ur passport within 2 weeks"...

But when i came back to hotel i checked my Status.. it was showing Administrative Processing on March 2... and on March 3.. status showing... ISSUED and it says... Your visa has been Printed.. But today date changed on March 6.. and status still showing ISSUED..

Does anyone knows that once if it says ISSUED and your visa is Printed... than what are the chances of getting VISA in REAL ? or it will go back to Administrative Processing ? Any Idea.

I faced similar problem with US Bangladesh embassy. Nothing to worry sometimes they make delay due to their internal processing or delivery to courier. In my case my sister got after 15 working days. Don't worry your visa is already issued amd attached with your passport and you will be notified soon. If you have not received anything after 15 working days then email to your local consulate and raise the issue.

  14. Immigrant Visas in general:

In general the Immigrant Visa is valid for 180 days. Only in exceptional cases we will be able to issue another visa if you do not enter the United States before the expiration date. Please contact us thru e-mail immigrationrio@state.gov to know how to proceed. This does not apply to Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery Winners. DV winners must enter the U.S. before the expiration date. Failure to do so will result in the Visa being forfeited and there will be no possibility of having another DV Visa.

At your first Port-of-Entry in the U.S., the USCIS Officer will retain your visa package and will place an ADIT (admission) stamp into your passport. The USCIS officer can answer questions about when and how you will receive your green card. Until you receive your green card your ADIT stamp is your proof of legal residency in the United States and you can immediately live, work and study in the USCIS office will mail your physical green card to the address that you provided in the Sworn Statement (form DS 230-I).

Note that this "stamp" is valid for one year. It is very important that you remember this expiration date. If you travel outside the U.S. before receiving your physical green card, make sure that you return before the expiration date of the stamp. If you must leave the U.S. and know that you will not be able to return before that date - and you have not yet received your green card - you must request an extension from USCIS before leaving the U.S. You must request this in person from USCIS in the United States. You must not leave the U.S. until you have received it. If, for some reason, the stamp does expire while you are abroad you will have to arrange for someone in the United States to mail you your green card so that you can reenter the U.S.

Thanks Sirin for your experience sharing...

  15. Do NOT worry. It will not be a problem at all.

Having green card doesn't mean, they want to cage and force you to live in US. This is true that GC is given for you to live in US, but they dont return you on your first flight. I have relatives, who came here on return ticket and went back and then came back again.

I'd only advise you to wait for the plastic GC card, if you can. Even if not, still it will not cause you any trouble as the I-551 stamp on your passport would be valid for one year.

Do not cancel your tickets or anything. You're good

Thanks for your reply. Actually I will stay for 2 months in US to get the GC. Someone is telling that if immigration officer find return ticket then they delay the Green Card plastic process which will creat problem in future and hang the GC issuing process. And if I leave the US without having the GC plastic then I551 will only allow me 180 days out side of US. Is it true ?

If you have any experience plz share. Thanks again for your advice.

  16. Go to this website : www.avvo.com

it would be better if u get a concrete answer from US lawyers......

I have heard reports of individuals being denied entry as immigrants if the officer at the port of entry believes that they are not moving to the U.S. permanently. The officer will consider a number of factors and you should be prepared to explain why you qualify as an immigrant.

  17. YES...it will create a big problem for you...immediately cancel all of your return tickets and buy new one-way tickets only...buddy, u r going to get GREEN-CARD, and US assumes that u r going to stay in their country forever...... if they come to know at the point of entry that u r entering US with return tickets and also intend to get a greencard, then they might ask you to leave from the point of entry.......this is not to scare u, but this is a fact........many have faced this kind of situation....US is not going to write this kind of point in their "points to be taken care of" or "laws" but each and every lawyer would advise u to enter US with one-way ticket if u r entering with an immigrant visa......

    Hi Batman

Thanks for your valuable info. I just talk to my immigration lawyer. he told me that I will not barred to enter into US but immigration officer will delayed the process of getting your GC which may take more that 11 months.

I appreciate your valuable guidance in this regard.
