My wife have SLE (LUPUS) she will do her medical this friday 25th of May and the interview at the US Embassy is 8th of June.

This is my question, do you guys think she will have problems on the medical exam? Lupus is not contagious disease.

The anniversary date is on the GC it is the date you entered the United States. Example...If you enter the USA on July 1, 2012 then you have to file to remove conditions 90 days before July 1,2014. Hope this helps.

Im confused on the 2nd anniversary, we should file for adjustment of status on the 2nd anniv. based on the green card's issue date right? so if my wife enters the us on july 2012 and issued a green card on the same month, we should apply for the adjustment july 2014?

I would say expect an interview in the next month or two at the embassy. Be diligent and call. pay attention to any mail or posting on the site. Make sure to register at travel.gov to track your case to know when it is scheduled. You may still have to pay the embassy interview fee before the interview is set. i will check with a couple here who just went through the ir/cr visa process to give you more information.

How do I register online to track the status of our case? Can you please provide me the link, I cant find it at the travel.state.gov website.

When did NVC completed your case?

Once the case is complete at NVC how long did you wait before your interview at US Embassy Manila? I just want to know the average wait time for interview, we just send our DS 230.

I finally get the NVC number...log in to pay and find this error message:

"This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately."

This process is unreal. Has anyone else seen this error message?

I called and they said a supervisor would look at it, and it "may be resolved" in a week.

It happened to me, it means NVC have not loaded the receipt number in the system yet, give it 2-3 working days.

That is a checklist barcode sheet, not the actual invoice sheet. I hope it works out ok!

well it contains the same information, it contains your case number so i dont think i will have problems with that, and just called nvc and they said they saw it in the system that i already paid the IV. The only difference between the barcode sheet is the checklist says ATTN: DR the one after you pay is ATTN: CMR, same address, different person/department.

You are not supposed to send the DS-230 before paying the invoice, because you do not have the barcoded cover sheet for your package. You will get a checklist, and have to now mail them the barcoded sheet. You have probably delayed your case by a week at the least.

I already received a checklist with the barcoded cover sheet asking for the payment, i attached it with the ds 230

Oh I see... And no, no IV invoice showing up for me well, I also know my AOS packet has been received cuz of the USPS tracking I put, but 2 operators told me it hasn't been scanne into system yet, so its in their mail room...

Yes i called them now, my DS 230 is not yet showing in the system, they told me its not going to show up until they reviewed it which takes atleast 7-14 days. Effective today Apr 13 the visa fee went down to $230. I was told by the operator I was lucky coz Ive waited until it went down, atleast i saved $184 lol

WHAT?! HOW?! Mine still hasn't posted. The DS3032 has been accepted days ago... And you sent the IV package before clearing payment??? Risky, but ur sure they received it how? My AOs package arrived there yesterday early morning and I still can't get someone to tell me that they've scanned it in...

I sent the IV package a week before my payment because I sent it from APO address (overseas) I found out that they received it because it shows on the USPS website. it was delivered today 11 AM.

You can send documents even if its not paid yet, NVC will review everything. But case will not be completed if you missed a payment. You can send a DS 230 even if its not yet paid, but NVC will not schedule interview/complete the case until you submit all paperworks and payment.

Just paid the IV, the price went down from $404 I only paid $230.

I'm just wondering at which point my wife's interview date at US Embassy in Tokyo will be assigned. Is it when our case is completed at NVC and sent to Japan?

Also is there enough time between 'case complete' to interview? She wants to travel for 3 weeks.

Once the case is complete in NVC then they will schedule the appointment date, usually its 1-3 months waiting time.

Ok, don't feel bad think like that happens a lot. Have you sent out the originals to USCIS? they requested copies only with i130, NVC requests originals.

1. You can request that you'll provide the original documents at interview date (not sure how's that will work tho).

2. I would've suggest that you send the missing papers with the bar coded sheet on the top. HOWEVER, these are original doc so I would suggest to wait for a checklist and send the missing documents. You're looking for Wed or Thur to get the checklist.

Yeah I remember when I migrated to the US I showed them the Police clearance etc. at the interview. Everything that I sent to USCIS are the original copy except for the passport but the marriage cert. and birth cert. of my wife I sent them the original.

Im gonna call NVC once the packet is received to find out if I need to provide them more documents. And I will try to request if my wife can bring it during the interview instead of sending it to NVC.

Hello friends,

I am the petitioner for my wife, but the I-130 has not yet been approved. I'm considering moving to a new apartment before my wifey gets here. I obviously know there is a protocol in place to inform USCIS of an address change.

My questions are:

1. Will this further delay our processing?

2. Is it acceptable to just forward all mail to the new address and then make the change later?

3. What if the I-130 gets approved before I potentially move out, do I still need to inform them of the change?

It wont delay the processing, I also moved to a new address while the petition is still at USCIS stage. Just make sure you go to USCIS website and update the address.

Just sent the DS-230 Pt. 1 and 2 today. I forgot to attach the Police Clearance, 2x2 photos, birth cert. and marriage cert. Do I have to wait for the checklist or can send it right away like tomorrow? But I dont think I have to provide them with the marriage and birth certificate again, I already sent it with my I-130 package to USCIS so im pretty sure NVC has it already when they received the documents from USCIS.

I got my CC end of march.. Do u find hard time waiting for ur interview date?

I just sent the DS-230, hopefully our case will be complete by this month. So it takes 2 months for the interview.

No. But Ive heard that if its your first time to travel to the US they will give you discount.

When did NVC complete your case?

If my wife is already given the visa, do I have to be with her at the point of entry? Do I need to get her in Philippines? Ive heard that I need to sign documents at the POE and there will be a briefing with the immigration officer since she is holding a CR1 visa. My plan is I would like to wait for her here in the states.

Once NVC receives the DS-230 and other documents, if everything is good, how long does it take before the case is complete? And what is the next step after that?

I just sent my military id, military leave and earnings statement for the past 3 months, and W2 for 2011 and 1040 for 2011.
