tin, sa married certificate namin bakit hindi ganyan..nkalagay lang doon full maiden name ko at full name ng hubby ko..wish i can see ur marriage cert/license photo if pareho ba ang content sa akin..i'm just confused and now worried with my name

hi tin, thanks for the info..lam mo di talaga ako pinayagan dito sa SSN na last name ko sa pagka single ang gawin kong middle name. ksi di daw pwd sa DMV..I can change my name I want daw kung ag apply na ko for citizenship. It's weird nga na ung maiden middle name ang dala ko pa rin as middle name instead of my last name gaya ng nkasanayan na natin sa pinas...hindi talaga ako comfortable sa name ko ngaun.

I just got my name changed in SSN this morning and was surprised about this new law accdg to the SS officer about using middle name. They let me have my maiden name middle name as my middle name instead my maiden name last name, which we usually do in the Phils. hey tin, sensya na dami ko questions...nag change of name knba ng ss card mo? I had mine changed today and I thought i can use my maiden last name as my middle name just like what it used to be in the Phil. but its not the case. Here they let us use the maiden name middle name instead which is kinda odd.. because of the new law..so, basically it goes like this --My Name + My maiden name Middle name + My married last name. Do you have the same experience?

tina, did u use ur married name already in all ur paperworks? did u change ur SSN to ur married name already? how about ur signature in every paperwork nag change knba?

tin, where did u get ur reference in filing AOS? ung lahat ng list of requirements to file..may guide kba?

hi tin, did u report ur marriage to Phil embassy? we went to uSCIS here in our place and the officer told us that it is not necessary to report the marriage to the Phil and not necessary to have the medical too..I'm confused..

hi tina, tnx for posting this thing about SSN..I'm planning to get an SSN next week before getting married. So, why did u use ur maiden name during application kahit married kna that time? I was thinking of getting my SSN with my married surname para di na sana pabalik balik sa SS office. What do you think is the best thing to do? do it before marriage or after marriage na? thanks..
