  1. So i had my interview in London, met up with a cool guy who was doing K1, he was on here too so was good to get chatting, relaxed me alot, the whole thing could not have been easier, i wasnt even asked any questions apart from one, your wifes name is? the santa looking man stamped a few things, asked me to sign somethings, said my wife was a beautiful young lady, we joked about the mountain dew they sold, and how busy embassy was, and without even saying bye he took my case, closed it, an walked off, then the next number was called to the window, they walked behind me and stood lookn rather mad i was there. santa returned with a case in hand, and said oh you still here, i said i am done, he said ye, i said, so, im approved, as in like i have the visa, he seemed to be rattled by now and said yes sir you have your visa now you can leave have a good day, i went back wished my new buddy all the joy and luck i was feeling and paid courier, spent 3pound on a call to tell my wife(an wake her) i was approved, now im home and have work in 4hours, they said ill get visa friday, i may just decided to fly sunday(wifes birthday 16th, anniversary 14th,) all in all, amazing experince and such an honor to share it with u guys, all the best and god bless u all

  2. So its upon me, in 12hours ill be walking to the embassy and it will all soon(hopefully) be over. been along time since i kissed my son goodbye as we droppd him of at daycare, along time since i held my wife at austin airport and told her id be back, but we are here, we have got here by sheer hard work, determination and a never say never attitude, its been tough, alot of fights, tears, struggles and what ifs along the way, but tomorrow it all comes down to either of these to words, declined or approved. there wil be grilling, this i no, i overstayed the visa waiver. doubt creeps in about other things. but theres nothing we can do now, its all in my hands now, uscis and nvc seen no reason to halt or delay our case, so its the last step in a giagantic walk. to everyone who has helped us, answered some of the most stupid questions we had to ask, thank you all so much, please say a prayer for me and my family, theres a 16month old who needs his daddy, and a daddy who needs him more, a special thanks to magical who has had some very wise and helpful input. i shall report back tomorrow, this is it

  5. London will not look at any photos or evidence of your relationship. Save time and skip it. There are reviews of interviews at London on VJ--hundreds of them. Try reading them. Review the London website. There's a lot of information there if you'll click the links and read.

what do they look at then, ive been told its the most relaxed place to have an interview, ive read the reviews an there all saying its like 2/3 questions and your done,

  6. so the embassy emailed me and i have my interview in london on the 12th argh now the total fear sinks in, what are they gonna ask, will the past overstay affect me, will they ask for a new co, whats the chances of gettin put into AP, forgetting something an being asked for second interview, more importanlty what to wear! ha. man for real i am shaking like a leaf, but glad its come quick, deep breath.....

  7. Ok so our case was approved and we were waiting for a interview date, they told us at NVC youll have to wait till mid october before we schedule u an interview in November so we requested an expediate and it was accepted, the case is now in the london embassy, what happens next? do they send my hubby the email appoitment through a letter or email, he has just moved down to london when we got our CC so his address isnt what it is on the computer at NVC but the embassy said there system takes 2-4weeks to update, and NVC said they arent dealing with it now its been handed over to the embassy, so what do we do? if we get an interview withing the next 2 weeks, we wont no, unless they email us the interview date, so what can we do :(

  8. Maybe not yet--mine worked first try. I actually knew the date before the NVC rep. I called as soon as I had the date--it arrived on a Saturday, so NVC wasn't open until Monday, and the woman said there was nothing in her system yet, and as we were talking it showed up in her computer--very exciting--and she told me I would have an appointment date later the same day, which I did...an email showed up in the late afternoon.

well once we had a CC chris went ahead an emailed a request for an immediate interview, i called yesterday and they said they had accepted it, sent the case to London an to keep calling daily as his interview will be very soon, or so London embassy had told them anyway

  9. Ok so we had a CC on the 22nd, and then requested an expedite on the interview, and it was granted, NVC told us to call everyday cause as soon embassy recieves it ill get an immediate interview that they wont email me about, theyl tell NVC so we gotta keep callin now, but how can we track it on DHL website the lingche guide to it...didnt work lol can anyone else maybe assist me thanks

  10. ok so we called and defiantly have a case complete, they told us they will schedule an interview date for November, in the second week of November, so we asked if we could expedite it, they said yes and gave us the nvc supervisors email at nvc to request this, so we emailed,d how long should it be before we hear back, we sent it 9am nvc time, cant believe we have been at NVC longer than USCIS, crazy

  11. Ok so i called nvc 3 times today, 1st lady said the rfe hadnt been done, second guy had no clue as to what planet he was on telling me i needed all kinds of stuff sent back in an he had put a review of all our files again, and then i called 10mins before they closed. to be told no, your case is now complete, we are just waiting to schedule a novemeber interview for you, im rather confused, i can still sign into the payment portal, also how can i track it on the DHL website, i tried the LingChe guide to it but failed miserable. NVC are such a head game sometimes, i really hope the last call was true and that the case is done :S

now they are telln me, oh octobers booked for interviews in london....ok so why the hell arent you booking me in for novemeber, they give people such a run around sometimes man it aint right

  13. OP's wife does not need to apply for a B2 visa if she is eligible to use the VWP.

OP, are you and your wife familiar with the ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization), an ESTA must be granted before travel on the VWP (Visa Waiver Program). Your wife should bring ties to the UK in the event CBP asks to see them.

true sorry forgot about the VWP as we cant use it but yes your right the VWP is free an can be granted withing seconds :)

  14. This guessing game with USCIS and when am i gettin approved will drive you nuts, we know, we been there, as have all/most, we applied late may got done late july, and now still at nvc, 2 more weeks an we woulda been at nvc longer than USCIS!!! its like a lucky bag, sometimes u dip your hand in and get a crayon, sometimes ull get some candy, you just never no im afraid, the best thing to honestly do, is relax, be patient, and dont stress, it will come, god is good :)

  15. i asked the same post a few back, turns out that yes you can, its called the B2 visa, costs, an about 18days from time of appying, u gotta go for an interview, but it can be done, apply at belfast, takes 4days to process, the only down side is, theres a strong chance you'd get rejected, as you have a pending immigrant visa, but its always worth a shot, we were going to but decided itd be best just to hang on those few extra weeks an save some more $ good luck though guys !
