  1. My husband filed for my daughter in May also with California Service Center. I see how lucky some people are when they get their NOA 2 in two months or so. Hope we all will get happy pretty soon.

Mine is in California Service Center too, some are really lucky to get their NOA2 for 2 months. I have news from them though they cashed my check for my dad's petition. I really hope our petition will go fast.

  2. 3 months?

    Oh my.

USCIS claims 5 months on this type of processing -

but don't have yer official freak-out until 6 months have passed.

    Good Luck !

Hi Darnell! Yes its been 3 months, i saw other timeline and took 2 months or a month for them to recieved NOA2. Im freaking out coz its been 3 months, 1 more month and if i never heard from them im gonna call them. Hopefully they have answers.

  3. Hi there, i just noticed why they dont have the 125% POVERTY LINE? They only put the 100% POVERTY LINE. Correct me if i am wrong the 100% POVERTY line are for the sponsors active duty in the US Arm force right? Howcome i dont see the 125%?

Hi guys, again :) I thought you might be interested...I had another topic about electronic filing to replace DS-230 but it was not posted, so..if the moderators allow this link you might want to check out the new poverty guidelines for 2010. God bless you

I filed the I130 for my mother on the 17th of july and got a notice of Action dated on the 28th of july, the only thing on the notice was :I-130 has been receievd by our office for the following beneficiary and is in process. Any idea of when i will hear again from them and what is the next step?

    Here's my timeline

  5. Hello aj2010,

Thanks for your info. It seems that I have to wait at least two more months. you have similar case. if you get more info, please share it with me. ThanX.

Hi baba11, im waiting for NOA2 too, and this coming Aug. 24 will be the 3 months of waiting. I wish i'll here from them.

    Here's my timeline

-130 Petition for Alien Relative (Mom)

    05/03/2010 - I-130 Sent

    05/22/2010 - check cashed

    05/24/2010 - recieved NOA1 via Mail

  6. So I sent the I-130 application for my mom last month and it has been rejected 3 times already. On the rejection notice, it says;

The application has not been fully completed. One or more of the following fields were not completed:

    - Part C Address

I cant seem to find anything wrong with the address. I'm confused with question 22 though. Since my mom is in the Philippines and will not be applying for adjustment of status,i put N/A. On the 2nd part where it says If your relative is not eligible for adjustment of status, he or she will apply for a visa abroad at the american consular post in: I wrote Manila, Philippines. Are my answers correct? This is the only confusing part to me. I just dont understand what I am doing wrong for it to be rejected 3 times. I called the uscis customer service and they were no help :( The first time i got a rejection notice, the guy told me to just look for the error and resubmit the same form which I did. REJECTED AGAIN. When i got the third rejection notice, I called again and the lady told me that if everything is right, i should just send it back with a letter saying the addresses are right. What should I do? I am considering to get help from an attorney but everything seems self explanatory that I dont really think it's necessary. Pls help. I dont want to send it again and get rejected for the 4th time. Thank You in advance.

    LaLa

I knew what you felt it so frustrating. When i sent my petition for my mom, the question 22 i put all N/A dont leave it blank just put N/A.

  7. I'm newly naturalized U.S. citizen and I'm petitioning my parents. I have two questions on the form I-130. How did you answer questions 14b and 17? Should I leave question 14b unanswered and do I include my name on question 17?

I sent mine two months ago i just leave it blank in the question# 14b then at question#17 when you petition your dad out your mom's name then your siblings name, then when yo petition yor mom put your dad's name then your siblings.

  8. I finally recieved the approved NOA 2 after approx. 71 days of waiting. Now what do I need to do next? Send my fiance' the duplicate packet 129F that I made according to the visa guide and will I also at this point send her my I134 documents of support, tax returns, pay stubs, updated letter of intent to marry?

Also at what point would I buy her plane ticket to the USA? After the medical I would guess but it maybe much less expensive to purchase the plane ticket several months in advance, the problem with that is if she doesn't for some reason pass the medical or interview then the money spent on the ticket would be lost.

Is there a step by step guide as to what documents to send and at what point in the visa process?

Also she has a 2 year old daughter but never married so will she still need some type of letter from the father to allow the child to come to the USA?

If anyone is from the San Francisco Bayarea and can guide a fellow member and newbie going thru the K1 and also a K2 for the child please email or PM me with any assistance I would be greatly aprreciative.

Thank You to all VJ members and Good Luck and God Bless!

Im so happy fir you that you recieved your NOA2 been waiting for a months a half for my NOA2 and never heard from them.

  9. It's been over a month now and i never recieve NOA2. I really wish that I will get it fast coz i really need my mom here especially i had a car accident and i have two kids. Hopefully it will go fast.

  10. Question is........ Did your husband really send it ? Does he really want your mom to live at your place ? I dont mean to be a jerk about this but I have heard of such thing really happening.................

Lol that's funny! Ofcourse my husband want my parents to live here, its a great help for us coz we have two kids.

    Good point.

Month of May is almost over you should have already received the NOA1 by now. Sending thru regular mail only takes a week or so around US I think. I hope it wasn’t got lost in the mail though.

    Good luck.

I called the immigration and he said that if its over 30 days, we need to resend it.

  11. with important stuffs like these you should always track it, its just a few dollars more just to be sure it reached its destination.

I just found out that my husband sent it to regular mail. Im so pissed!!!!!! I called the post office and the guy said that there's no way that they can track it. Then I called the USCIS, the guy that i talked told me that my name is not in the system yet, so they dont know. Im really sad, i wonder how long it will take for the regular mail to reach the USCIS? :crying:
