  1. Hi,

My name is Dan, and I moved over to the US back in May last year from the UK, and was using Visa Journey daily, as I'm sure many of you are. I am now a Technical Recruiter with Bluewolf, an IT recruitment company in Chicago. I currently have a requirement for a French speaking IT Help Desk consultant, with a focus on Windows XP and Windows 7 support. This position could lead into more work for the rest of the year.

If you are interested, email me at Dan.Hill@Bluewolf.com

  2. Nica,

I actually called before they received my case, and they said to send an email and they'd deal with it when my case was put into the system, which according to the email reply to my email, was today. As for the reasons, I let them know that we found out that we're expecting twins, Emily is out of work in the US, and that I have a job lined up to start in June, and my late May interview date was going to put that in jeopardy. So yes, I did have a few reasons, and I am definitely glad that I send the email! Hope this helps

  3. Thanks for the advice/feedback Saylin and Alaska, and for the congratulations from everyone else. I just called the US Embassy in London, and they said to email them, and as soon as my case is in the system, then they'll see what they can do about moving the date up. I, the dad to be, am actually the beneficiary, so luckily my wife doesn't have to go through the stress of the interview and travelling. I definitely won't hold my breath for an expedite, but you never know, there may be a cancellation.

  4. Hi All!

Emily and I have had some great news in the past week. She's pregnant...with twins!!:blink: It's safe to say that I am as excited and as scared as I have ever been. Our interview is scheduled in London for May 29th at the moment, and obviously we'd like to be together as quickly as possible. So questions...1)I know pregnancy doesn't qualify you for an expedite, but does twins change this? And 2) Is it even possible to expedite when an interview has been set, and how would I go about doing this...via NVC or the Embassy now?

    Dan

  5. We just got the letter explaining our RFE through, and it is asking us for a legible copy of our Marriage certificate. We orinally sent a certified copy of our marriage certificate, which has obviously been lost by USCIS, but I wanted to check, do I have to send a certified copy of the marriage certificate, or will a regular photocopy be fine?
