Things are going slow. We are waiting to hear back from USCIS as to approval of our I-130 petition. I no longer get my hope up as that is usally dashed It's not been an easy journey for us and now we'll be coming up on our 2nd anniversay 9-1-2013. We had to hire a lawyer to answer the ridiculas letter from VSC. It is so hard for not to be together. If there are any more delays I'm packing up my stuff and moving there until he can come here if that is what it takes. Life is too ...

Over these past couple of years I have learned patience. Two weeks left and I fly off to Nigeria to be with my husband. Our anniversary is Sept 1st!

Thanks for the post. I've yet to file the I-130 as I've been waiting for months to get old call records from Tracphone. Last I spoke with them they put me off another 90 days. Frustrating to say the least. I will be traveling to see my husband this month. I fly out of JFK on the 30th. Got a great price on the ticket with Arik. Congratulations! What were the red flags that you addressed for the consular besides the difference in race? I'm gathering together now as much info as I can to front load our application since the K1 was denied. We have since married, Sept 1, 2011 and now filing for CV-1. Hope you don't mind my asking questions. Just don't want to go through the anguish of being denied a 2nd time.

Just returned from Nigeria and getting married. Have you found out any useful information from the immigration lawyers and have you hired one at this time? So hard to know what to do at this point. We're trying hard to gather as much info for the CV-1 Visa app so we have a better chance of being approved this time. So frustrating as contacting the congressman and senator had absolutely no effect!

When I was in Nigeria I did go to the embassey. Got to see what our loved one...

I know you can empathize with us. And I agree with you, the CO was wrong! I am traveling to Nigeria the end of August to marry my best friend I know that I am not going to want to come back home without him. I am traveling to Nigeria the end of August to marry my love. Then to restart the whole process over with a spouse visa. This is so hard. When I arrive in Nigeria we are going to plan our strategy. I am trying to hold it together here at work. After all this time to not get that Visa. I am so sad and discouraged. Will be talking with my fiance today after work to see what happened.
