  1. I'm an Australian applying here in South Korea (living in Daegu) too. What do you need translated? I found a link on Naver showing that we can get the police report done in English from any police station. Is there anything else we need from Korea that only comes in Korean?

Thanks for your response. Have you received your NOA2 yet? I didn't know that we can get the police certificate in English - I'll look in to that, thanks. I wanted the police certificate translated, and some receipts - Like my engagement ring receipt. Could you send me the link please? I live in Wonju and these police officers don't seem to understand that I need a certificate with a RED stamp :crying: Other than that, we don't need anything else from Korea.

  2. Hi :) I need to prepare my documents for my interview and was wondering if anyone knows where I can get some documents notarized/translated in South Korea. To those of you who have had your interview here - How was the process? I'm from South Africa but I teach here...Any other foreign nationals applying for a fiance visa in South Korea? I'm as lonely as a tower crane driver waiting in this place :(

  3. Hi,

Has he done his police clearence yet? It takes about 6 weeks and seems to be the obstacle in the process. As far as I know once he sends back packet 3 (Pink) he sets up the date for the interview.

Also be sure he has a valid birth certificate and I think he needs a SARS tax clearence. Some applicants have had the packet 3 emailed them from the embassy to complete, so possibly he could complete it in the USA and DHL it to the embassy and set up the interview tate and then fly back. Dont forget the I-134 financial support.

FYI check out Primier Travek they have specil airfare rates with SAA and often have promotions.

    Good luck,

    Simeon

I'm from South Africa as well...I have a contact at Home Affairs that can get a police certificate in 2 weeks for a fee (ZAR 350). Perhaps there are some folks here that could use this service to speed up the process. If anyone is interested send me a message and I'll forward contact details.
