  1. Hey,

Thank you so much for sending that website. I didn't even know about it! So, I checked mine and it says:

Your visa is in final processing. If you have not received it in more than 10 working days, please see the webpage for contact information of the embassy or consulate where you submitted your application.

Did yours specifically say that it was printed?

    Thanks!

Yes, It said issued and then it said printed and that we should receive in a few days. Yesterday the website said we were in Administrative Processing. So I would say you will see a change tomorrow.

Let me know if you see a change or get your visa and I will do the same.

  2. Apparently the Immigrant Data summary paper was important. I found this out when I called the embassy. They were very nice about this and send me the copy via email immediately. She is on the flight now and should be landing in 4-5 hours smile.png

Thank you for the update on this. Crazy question? My husband was told he would receive his visa within 7 days. We were hoping he would get something this morning. I checked the visa status and it says Administrative Processing. Did you check your status before you received visa? It also says if approved, visa will be issued with 2 business days? So I am a bit confused???

My husband and I just got approved for his visa. We received a Notice of Intent to Revoke and we were reaffirmed. I know that it is heartbreaking, but take it one day at time. Answer the Notice of Intent to Revoke. Wait for the Reaffirmation. Wait for the new interview. Prepare for the worst and hope for best as we did and your husband will get his visa. I am so sad you have to go through this, but God is good and if you do not give up, your husband will get his visa.

  4. Congratulation!!! What caused your case to take this long???

We had to prove this was a bonafide marriage. We met online and got married a few months later. They questioned everything about what he answered at the interview to see if it matched with my letter about how we met and got married. I put in too too too many details which opened the door for them to send the petition back to the US because they could not Umit to tell them all the details which I completely understand why he would not have thought to tell them every tiny little detail as I did. But we are going to be together now and forever so all is good.

  5. That's easy for you to say when you haven't been waiting 2 months for an interview appointment only to possibly have it delayed at the last minute. I worked hard on the petition to avoid an RFE, so this would go as fast and smooth as possible. I know the whole process takes years but the initial visa is the most important to me. Why? Because right now I'm separated from my love. Not all of us do well while waiting. I just want to live with my love and be done with the separation and each day is a little more of hell than the last. Weeks of delay is just going to make me more depressed.

My husband and I have been waiting 3 years to be together and his interview is October 2nd. I pray they do not shut down the embassies.

  6. what he told me is what am writing here..all i know is he went to 3 interviews and was given a 221g form which says he is in AP but was asked to wait 6months and all am asking is what can he do whiles waiting who should he contact and how can he get out of AP

There is usually no way to get out of AP. I do not think they usually tell you how long you will be in AP. What country is he from? AP is better than denial.

  7. A friend of mine did CR1 and got a 221 g form at the end of his second interview..they ask him to wait within 6 months to recieve a notice explaining why.. is he in AP or has he been denied???And what can he do next

I just want to say that posting something like this without any timeline for your friend or details is very upsetting for the rest of us going into a second interview. We do not know if this is a second interview after waiting three or four years like some of us. We do not know if this is related to medical or police issues. Very upsetting.

  8. I'm a green card holder and has been living in the united state since 2009, and my husband is a US citizen. Me and my husband works full time and making 3x the poverty guidelines. I just gave birth with our first Baby a month ago and currently on maternity leave. My husband and I invited my mom here in the US we spent months (and a little fortune) gathering documentation to apply for my mom's visa so she could come visit me and her first grandson. My mom works at the hospital as a house keeping supervisor. Yesterday my mom went to the US Embassy to have her visa interview and the visa was denied. I'll skip the whole "hours of standing in line outside under the sun" thing and go straight to the point: The interview didn't last 5 minutes.

The Consular Agent started asking the reason for her trip and she said "I want to be there to see my daughter and my grandson". Then she asked what else, my mom then added "to see the US'' then she was silent reading her computer screen for a long while. She then asked "for how long has your daughter been there?" my mom says "5 years". The she asked where does she works, how many children. Then the Consular Agent said I cant give you your visa right now just wait for your petition in a few months. My mom started crying and said "I have a letter from my son in law and my daughter here that might explain" but she didn't even bother to look at the letter or documents we sent her. Then my mom asked why she just said " just wait for your petition" then she just said next. My Mom was sobbing as we talked on the phone. I've been through this process and know exactly how humiliating it can be even though my visas were never denies. It was terrible hearing her crying through the phone and not being able to hold her tight.

Any idea why her visa got denied? I feel its not fair and the consular agent didn't even give my mom a chance, she didn't even bother to look at the documents she has.

I think there is a mistake on the computer and the CO believes your mom is being petitioned to migrate to the US. You should contact the consulate and make sure the error is corrected.

  9. Congrats! thats good to hear, now, your husband needs to make sure he has all civil documents ready, he may need a new medical examination, plz make inquiries with the consulate regarding the civil items he needs, remind them the exact date of your husband's previous interview so they can tell you what items need to be updated, in the other hand, your husband need to have proofs of your ongoing relationship since his previous interview (copies of emails, photos if you've visited him since then, skype or similar chat histories, phone logs,etc..) just think of any useful item you can use to proof that your marriage/relationship is bona fide and not a sham, your husband has to behave serious, making the CO understand that the previous rejection was unfair and that you've done everything to cooperate with the USCIS and DOS, instead of acting like he is "begging" waiting for CO's mercy, that's how i acted with the CO last time, curteous but serious, confident, giving all details that could help despite the CO's interupption.

Rarely when they deny after a reaffirmation, just prepare and let me know what i could do for you

Thank you. As you know after waiting so long to get a second interview, we are both so very overwhelmed right now.

  10. Thanks, well i'm still confused, the CO said it literally " we're gonna issue your visa, but it's gonna take some time" then i made sure by asking her assistant, he said " Al Hamdoulilah" you're approved, i said " so when do you think i can pick up my passport with visa in it" he said "i can't tell you when, 1 week, 1 month, +" i said ok, well i'm approved that's what matters, but i don't wanna wait another year from now. i hope they're not gonna change their mind LOL. now it is not an entire CONGRATULATION , just half of it " CONGRAT"

I am confused, did you have to go in for an interview again. We are reaffirmed. Turkey Embassy received our file Aug 21 and requested we send in updated forms. Now will they schedule a second interview?
