I received another text today so I check my status online and got this:

but no tracking. Will there be another email with tracking? Oh well, as long as it arrives

Also, someone rang my doorbell today but I couldn't answer the door quick enough. When I looked out the window to see who it is, the man had already crossed the street and he had with him a folder and a camera with a pretty good zoom lens. He saw me as he was walking away but didn't bother coming back to my door. I was just wondering if its a USCIS investigator. I mean it could probably anybody but somehow that thought stuck to my head. The funny part is that I already received my approval letter, just waiting for the card.

Does the USCIS still send investigators out? I remember a friend telling me about a similar experience during his GC process but it was more than ten years ago. Does anyone know or has experienced this? Or was it someone from somewhere? Weird.

I think it varies. You might just have to wait it out, it'll arrive soon.

I have read about lots of people (June filers) getting approval letters but no change in their status online. When I received my approval letter, there was no change online and no text/email alerts. Five or six days later, I received text/email about card production.

I received a text and email on Monday about card production. Does anyone know if I'll get an email with the tracking number when the card is sent out?

Hi. I got married over 2 years ago and had no problems getting the 2 year residence, which is expiring in 6 months (april).

At first everything was going great. We both lived at my sisters place. i bought a car and we are both on the title. We have a savings account with some money but hardly ever use it (only in emergencies), we have car insurance and always did taxes together. We even went to my country sonthat she could meet my parents. I'm supposed to send the application for the the permanent in 3 months. I'm still married to my wife but she cheated on me and had a baby with another man, at first I tought the baby was mine but then she told me that it wasn't, that it was someone else's. We had a huge fight and I left her for a couple of weeks, when the baby was birn the biological father signed it but now that the baby is 1 month old, he dissapared and she has applied to ask him for child support.

I still love her and she says she still loves me too. That he never never meant anything to her, we are still together but it is not the same anymore. I'm not sure of what to do, I still love her but I dont know if I will ever forgive her. when I told her I was thinking of divorcing her she told me she understood and that if that's what i wanted she would accept it. I'm also thinking how all that would would affect my status and the new new application I have to send. Will it make the case more complicated if I file for a divorce? Will I get kicked out of the country? Or they will understand my situation and the reason why I want to divorce? I've even read that divorcing might actually make it easier.

Very sorry that this happened to you. It's none of my business whether you decide to stay or leave but whatever you choose to do, know what you need to file. That's the only real advice people should be telling you. No one else is in your relationship but you and your wife. Go with your gut feeling.

Please read up on how and what forms to file and do your best to have or gather most of the proof requirements like bank statements, lease agreement, joint taxes, credit cards, etc from now going back to when you first filed for your 2 yr GC. Be certain that you have access to proof that are under her name in case the divorce gets nasty. FYI, a change of address once you have submitted your application can sometimes be a pain.

No change in status online. No notification (text or email)...nada. Just an approval letter. I'm thinking they're bogged down and just trying to run through the stack. I'll be crossing fingers and toes for yours to come!

Okay, cestlaviecherie...I hope you get good news today! Our approval letter FINALLY came (mailed from St. Albans, VT...go figure!). Approval date is 10/4, posted 10/7. Interestingly enough, there's a sticky thing covering the name of the director and the letter is signed by an "Acting Director." I wonder if this has anything to do with the delay?

At any rate...updating the list for myself. Hopefully more will come by the end of the day! *fingers crossed!*

You're not alone, cestlaviecherie. I'm right there with you. Antsy, antsy, antsy!!! I checked my Last Updated date and it still says 09-05-13, which is the last time I received a notification from USCIS (I imagine that's the date the CSC actually received my transferred case file). *sigh*

I guess we just have to tough it out a bit longer.

Congratulations everyone! Still waiting on the good news on this end. Quick question I got a notice that said my case has been received at the new service center yesterday, this is after it was transferred to CSC from Vermont in September. Is there anyone else who went through this and their timeframe from then until approval? And is this what people refer to when they say last touched on so and so date?

Most all of the transferred cases such as myself received a letter in the mail indicating their transfer to a "local" service center. Though the letter says local, it might not be the case for all since many people here reported their case was transferred from Vermont to California, as well as mine. The approval time frame varies. If you look at the most recent time table posted on this thread, you can see the people who were transferred and approved. The time frame is different per case. I see many people who were transferred earlier & later date than mine and they already got approved.

The "touched" is the last date a USCIS officer touched your file. If you log on into your USCIS account (assuming you already have done this), under the LAST UPDATED section, you will find the date when your case was last "touched". Also, most people have reported (according to the table on this thread anyway) that they got a letter within a 4-6 weeks after their cases were transferred. I haven't received anything and I am getting really antsy waiting for an approval letter lol and I'm sure I'm not the only one

We received our approval by mail today!

Strangely the online system doesn't say it is approved yet and the notification doesn't have the receipt number but it clearly says the decision was 9/24/2013!

Wow, just got the approval letter out of the blue.

Weird thing...we were notified we were transferred to CSC...but the approval signature block on the NOA says it was approved in Charleston, SC. Maybe these are really being transferred to local offices?

I believe you can file for citizenship 90 days from the third anniversary or 5 year anniversary of the issue date of your two-year PRC.

Just wondering, has anyone that was transferred from VSC to CSC been approved?

I woke up to a text this morning saying "Your case EAC---- is now updated. Check "My Case Status" at www-uscis-gov." I checked the website but its the same message as when I received the transfer text & email. I guess my file was "touched"?

Received the NOA indicating my case's transfer from VSC to CSC. Updating the list.

Hope this is a good sign for all of us that were transferred.

I received the same transfer email too but no letter as of yet. I sent my application to VSC and the email said "transferred to your local office". Could that mean that my application was transferred to CSC?

Hello Everyone,

After an interview with my ex wife at the immigration office, I received my green a year and half ago. Everything went fine. My ex left me in the beginning of April 2012 and the divorce was finalized at the end of November 2012. There is nothing I could've of done to stop her for leaving me. I tried. She left with another boy. We were student and we were building our lives together. That was the plan. We lived in the nice place with my landlord (my joint-sponsor). I still live in the same place, we sub-rented the place.

However, I followed the advices of some lawyers I gathered whatever I could. This situation it's a straight nightmare since my ex left. Since my marriage lasted less than 2 years, we didn't create any health assurance, car assurance ect... I am tired of it.

Here is what I have for i-751 waiver:

- Letter of my friends, parents, landlord

- My statement of what happened.

- Divorce decree.

- Joint-Bank Account.

- Joint-Tax 2011.

- my 24 sport club membership (of my ex and me)

- Pictures of us (random pictures of us, and our traveling)

- Proof a website we built together (IP expiration date and creation date), and in her biography she talks about me in a good way.

- And some pick-up shot of Facebook, comments, pictures, location geography. (Archive)

I am quiet tired of this situation, and I came to love my friends, my work, and my study. And to be honest, I am afraid and I feel lost. Please if anyone can help me, I would appreciate it.

I am sorry to hear about your situation. Things happen for a reason and surely, you'll stumble upon someone who is perfect for you. Would you be able to get your ex-wife to write a letter stating that you and her got married on good faith, tried to make it work but couldn't? I read a few posts here on VJ of some people sending in affidavits from their ex-wives/husbands as part of evidence. It maybe worth a shot.
