    I spoke to my baby... he is so sweet. He knows when I am feeling low just by my "hello." I miss him so much.

    Having a hard day today... this distance is getting to me. Dealing with the special circumstances of communicating in Cuba, the expense, the bad reception, no skype, etc. This is really getting to me. I can't do this!!! I just want to be able to spend more time talking to him. I am feeling alone and I have a house full of people. Phew!!!

      when im struggling i just think about the alternative which is to end it and walk away... that would be far harder than what you got now and would be forever... this is just temporary as love always finds a way :)

      I would have thought your petition would reach its destination (Consulate) earlier than mine did. Is this normal for your embassy?

      not to imply that mine has reached, because its either there or very close to being delivered. Can't get a straight answer from the embassy or department of state... :(

      Our consulate is anybody's guess. There is no way to guage a pattern so we just have to sit and wait. The good thing is that we can schedule the interview with the HAV number and we don't have to actually wait for the case to reach Havana.

    My approved petitioner was received at NVC on 9/2. I just called a few minutes ago and it still has not been forwarded to Havana. Is this normal? It has been 11 calendar days; 7 business days? Should I be worried? Why is it taking so long?

    NVC!?@&% What the heck? Everyday I get a different response. Case in "additional processing." Last week when I asked, they told me that ALL cases go through additional processing Today, I get this miserable lady that tells me that not all cases go through additional processing. What is the truth? Now I am confused - what is additional processing? Should I be concerned?

      I just had a peek at your timeline. NVC receive and NOA2 date are the same? is this correct? I was approved 2 days after you however NVC don't have the petition yet :(

      Chigs, that is what I was told at NVC. They told me it was received on 8/29, input into the system on 9/2 and assigned an HAV # and not I am waiting for it to be sent to Havana.

      they have it in the system, but haven't generated a NVC number or IIN. give them about a week or so. Good Luck

      Mine arrived on 8/22 and I also have no # yet. They said within the next 5 days I should have one. I'm calling every day and speaking to an operator so they "get the hint"

    I am surprised they accepted your service request is your 5 months are not officially up until Monday, 8/29. But that the US government. Mine is up on 9/4 but I am hoping it won't be necessary to put a service request in. It is so disheartening to see other approvals fly by and your sitting there waiting.
